I had spent Christmas here on my own and have had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff have been truly incredible—so friendly and accommodating. I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to them for making my solo Christmas feel so special. I had extended my stay and booked a small room for an extra night, and the staff gave me a free upgrade to a suite! The food is delicious. I’ve had a chance to try out everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Breakfast was included in my booking, and while I needed to pay for dinner, it has definitely been worth it. The castle and the room I’ve been staying in are beautifully maintained, spacious, clean, and full of charm and character. The facilities are excellent, and everything has been seamless throughout my stay. Never had any issues. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Broomhall Castle for making my stay—and my Christmas—so special. Your dedication and hard work, especially during your own Christmas, have not gone unnoticed and are truly appreciated.

Located in a beautiful area within walking distance/5minute drive of some beautiful woodland and hillside walks. The castle is beautiful, and slightly dated, which we loved. We were greeted warmly and everything explained. It is £20 additional charge for our dog to stay, which is no issue as we are aware of the extra cleaning required for fur, etc. The bedroom is gorgeous, with a large bed, gorgeous furniture and a simple, yet clean and tastful bathroom.

Our only negative comment would be, that as big tea/coffee drinkers, there was not enough milk and didn't get replenished the next day. We were unable to bring our own milk as there were no fridge facilities in the room. This meant we had to ask for fresh milk from the kitchen in the morning which made us feel a bit of a pain.

Liked the quirkiness of staying in a 19th century castle. Magnificent view over the Forth Valley, although not from our room which faced the back. Comfy bed. Warm room. Lovely dining room. Good food, accompanied by a pianist on a grand piano the evening we were there. Slept well and enjoyed our stay. Nice pastries for breakfast.

The ensuite bathroom window didn't shut because the sash-cord was broken. Cold wind coming in. Hopefully be repaired soon. There was only one lampshade on the 3-branch centre light, which seemed a bit strange. It would look better if they took that lampshade off as well. The tv didn't seem to connect to any live tv stations. We spent ages trying to find a film that was free to watch. Didn't matter for only one night, but would have asked at reception if we were staying longer. Got the impression that the renovation of the castle was still a work in progress, but we're sure that the smaller rooms like ours will be sorted out soon. Good luck to the owner- hopefully 4 stars one day.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my two children, and it was a fantastic experience for our little family! The room was spacious and very comfortable, with large, cozy beds that gave us all plenty of room to relax. The bathroom was a real treat—lovely and modern, with a great tub that the kids enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent, with generous portions that kept us full for the day ahead. They offered a nice selection of fresh fruits, which was a great start to our mornings. Overall, a very family-friendly stay, and we would return.

The driveway to the property is dark and not clearly signposted. One towel wasn’t entirely clean with a stain which was a minor downside

What a great find, the rooms were incredible, big and airy, enormous very clean bathroom with a roll top bath and a decent shower. Huge bed. Staff were all lovely and our doggie was allowed everywhere including the restaurant. Although we didn't use it, the bar lounge looked so cosy and comfortable with lots of lovely deep comfortable looking chairs and couches. Breakfast was nice.

Floor boards were very squeaky, we could hear people moving about above and to both sides of us. I realise it's an old building and that can happen so it's not a complaint just an observation for people viewing this review. We personally found the mattress a little hard.

The castle is very beautiful and the room was enchanting. The restaurant is amazing, the food was really good and the waitresses were dears and professional.

There is no elevator. When we left, we told them the day before that we needed to go early to the airport. I could carry my own suitcase in the stairs but the lady at the recpetion didn't want me to. She insisted the boys should take it down. They were difficult to find. She had to call twice before one came. He was sweeping the terrace floor outside. Maybe until 9-10 am, they should be at the reception and wait for customers to check out before doing such tasks.

The location is very picturesque and the main exterior was a beautiful. A small castle surrounded by woodland, a small village and farmland. The interior decor of the 'Four Poster' room was lovely and had an authentic castle feel (matched the photos well). The restaurant was brilliant! The food at dinner was exceptional and breakfast was lovely too.

There was a line up of people waiting to be served when we checked in and nobody was around. We had to ask in the restaurant and they tried to find someone. Only one person seemed to be available to deal with any hotel related business (the bar & restaurant seemed to be run as separate entities to the hotel). The elevator was broken/removed and boarded up. The bed was very hard. The hotel looks in photos to be grand but in reality seems to be run on a tight/low budget.

Very quirky building nestled at the foot of a mountain on the outskirts of Stirling. We stayed in a large light airy, double bedroom with a huge very comfortable bed which we loved. Staff were helpful.

Bathroom was a little old and tired but more than adequate. Breakfast service was an issue both days. Both days it was very slow with only one person valiantly trying to greet guests, take orders, serve drinks and food and clear the tables of a dining room full of people on his own! The cooked breakfast was ok content wise but the first day it was cold and had to be sent back. There was fruit but no access to self service tea/coffee. No pastries. No cereal apart from granola. People were waiting a long time for their breakfast and sometimes being forgotten. The staff member was doing his best to juggle everything and was very apologetic for the long wait but it really needed two people to ensure a positive start to the day for the guests.

I said to my husband, I would love to see what it was like to stay in a castle. We were in the area of Stirling and came upon the Broomhill Castle. Wow! I feel like I would love to stay there for many days. It is absolutely beautiful! We met the lady who owns the castle and she is lovely.

I would love to have had a slightly more substantial breakfast. The breakfast didn't quite match the standard of the hotel. It is such a beautiful hotel, I believe they need to create a more "romantic" breakfast. This would spread like "wildfire"!

Broomhall castle hotel is a breathtaking place - after visiting many castles we got to sleep in one. The ultimate scotish experience! The staff was helpful and very friendly. We actually got to sit for dinner after closing hours - just because they didnt want to let us wonder around for food after ariving there at night. The restaurant is fantastic and breakfast was probably the best we ate in Scotland.

The only improvement - making the shower more user- friendly. We struggled with hot/ cols water control
