Shane and Hayden  are perfect hosts and it really shows that they enjoy what they do. Whilst being very professional  they offer a warm friendly  welcome. Throughout my stay they were available if I needed them and could not have been more helpful. They work hard to ensure you have the best possible  stay and really put themselves out to make sure this happens. Communication  is excellent and contact made as soon as the booking is made communicating  all the additional information  that you might need.  I was able to leave my car before check in, which was really helpful  as it made logistics easier for a day walking on the coast path, in fact I was offered an early check in as the room was ready when I arrived. Shane even offered to pick us up after a day walking , amazing! So kind and after a day on the path a lift up that final hill was very welcome...thank you sooo much!! On returning at the end of the day what a lovely  surprise to find a piece of chocolate  cake beside the kettle!! A lovely "little pick me up" after a day walking. I meant to thankyou both , it was much appreciated, thank you. The room was lovely . Spotlessly  clean, very comfortable  with a cottagey feel. It had its own direct access to the driveway  with my car parked right outside.  One step into the the room through a sweet little stable door makes the room very accessible, if you struggle with steps. A very comfortable bed, ensuite shower, and a little kitchenette with sink, drainer, microwave  and  full size fridge,  a perfect set up for a stay especially if you were going to be out and about and wanted to be able to make up a picnic, what a good idea. I wished I had booked in longer. Breakfast was also of a high standard. With plenty to choose from in a nice relaxed setting. I was also able to leave the car after check out and collect it later in the day, which again was really helpful.

Nothing to dislike

Need a car but good location to explore all of Cornwall. Peaceful location. Village walking distance away with small shop and pleasant pub with good food. Clean and comfortable room & beds with small kitchen area inc fridge, sink, drainer and microwave and en suite with powerful shower. Room had a double and single bed and we parked our car right outside. Front door was split like a stable door, handy if you have a small dog/ child. Lovely breakfast in main house cooked to order and also croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereals etc.

Outstanding! Five stars except the rural location, although for us even that's five stars, with a bus stop at their doorstep and close to the South West Coast Path that we're hiking on. An easy walk as well on the footpath to Veryan Green (where you'll find one of the best small art galleries in the region), not far to the pub in Veryan either. Wonderful hosts, great breakfast, comfortable beds, large and very clean room, good shower, and definitely a highlight of our six week travels in England (from Canada).

Quiet location not far from the SW path and pick up from Portloe was appreciated. Very spacious comfortable room with extra space for tea coffee and fridge, Choc cake with tea very welcome. Good choice for breakfast.

Offer to pick up walkers put on booking sites so that this is well known. I only found out through another walker. I would have had to walk there from the coast otherwise after long day of walking already.

Beautiful room, well equipped. Very clean and comfortable. It was very helpful to have a fridge and microwave. The hosts were amazing, understanding, and so friendly. The breakfast was excellent, especially those poached eggs. We couldn't fault it at all. Thank you.

Unfortunately, it was further than the stated mileage. We had booked it so we could easily get to the hospital. It's also easier to drive there when it's daylight.

location was easy to find, 5 mins drive from local pub, and super quiet! Our room was a good size and so was the en-suite. Nice little touches such as homemade cake in the fridge on arrival plus fresh milk for a well earned cup of tea. Met by owners daughter on arrival who was lovely and showed us our room and checked we had what we needed. Breakfast was continental (cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and croissants) but lots of choice including eggs cooked to order. made very welcome. Parking easy.

the ONLY thing I could comment on is the size of the bed - it was a standard double size and we are two rather chubby people :=). it was comfy but I felt a little restricted.

Lovely location just out of Portloe. The owners went out of their way to ensure we could get to and from Portloe in their car. I highly recommend booking this accommodation for your stay in this area. Breakfast was lovely and the owners very friendly.

Nothing it was perfect.

Shane had offered to collect us from Portloe. When I called she arrived within 5 minutes to transport us. Likewise she was prepared to take us to the local pub and bring us back to Jago. Breakfast was good in particular my omelette.

Out in the countryside so not able to easily walk anywhere.

The Garden Room exceeded my expectations. Having a separate lounge area was brilliant. Both dogs and humans had a great stay - our bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast selection was good. Haydn was very attentive and, like Shane, made our dogs and us feel very welcome.

Super lovely couple, have created excellent spaces with own entrance for most of their rooms I believe. Very spacious, I had a three room apartment which was unexpected. Local pub was okay, friendly atmosphere, Friday night so nice and busy, food a bit ordinary.
