This small hotel lays just the middle of Cornwall, about 25 minutes drive from Truro. I would describe it as a small piece of jewel. We spent there two nights. The owners Kay and Neil are warm hearted people. They did their very best to make this place exceptional to stay at. The property, clean beautiful and tidy. We were provided with a lavish delicious breakfast. I’m allergic to dairy and they accommodated my special request. This is an exceptional place with exceptional service. Highly recommended. I used to work in the hotel industry and I know only the highly ranked 5 star hotels can do something similar. Thank You Kay & Neil. You exceeded our expectations.

We loved everything about this beautiful and welcoming b&b not a single complaint everything was perfect. The hosts were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them, we were very comfortable and cared for. The house is just stunning and so homely. The garden was just gorgeous with its own stream running through it just teaming with nature and wildlife. The village was so pretty and peaceful had a lovely walk through the green spaces it provided and was transported to being a little kid again. I can't recommend this place enough was perfect little retreat for our hectic lives and feel rested and whole again. Thank you so much both we will be back soon x

Kay and Neil were wonderful and the breakfast each morning was truly excellent. Modern shower room with glorious rainfall shower. Terrific location for touring, not much more than an hour to anywhere in Cornwall. Free parking and the pub up the road were very handy.

The rooms were rather small, which is reflected in the price and is specified on the website, I just didn't notice it. Despite that, the room was well kitted out.

Bed and Breakfast: The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast fantastic. Stayed here while my daughter was at the Boardmasters Festival. Couldn't have chosen a much better place. Quiet location. Within easy distance for North & South coast, main roads and Truro. Loverly hot powerful shower. Whole place very clean. Very warm and friendly hosts. Look forward to staying here again if i'm in the area.

The property is located between Truro and St Austell and it's a 20' bus ride away from the centre of Truro. Traditional decoration, delicious breakfast, a lovely cat and a great pub nearby (The Dolphin Inn). I'm so grateful to these people for their hospitality and kindness. They went the extra mile to ensure I'd have a great stay and they even welcomed me earlier than the expected time. Highly recommended

Neil and Kay were welcoming, friendly and happy to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was great talking to them and hearing about their lives and experiences. The vegetarian breakfast was exceptional and the bed was great - so much so that we slept in past our arranged breakfast time! Garden view made for a very relaxing stay watching the leaves blowing in the trees whilst lying in bed.

Not so much something I didn’t like, but the lock on the bathroom door was a bit fiddly. The hosts were aware of this and will be fitting new locks within the property in due course. Neil and Kay were keen to be told any positives and negatives of the stay we experienced to take on board any potential improvements.

The host was incredibly helpful and kind( he almost could read my mind especially where to park the car ) 👍👍

At the exit from the upper parking lot at the end, I had to drive onto the sidewalk of the opposite building and I scratched the wheel , only because someone parked the car to close to exit...just strict sign ( do not park car there ) would help .

The hosts were incredibly friendly, accommodating and easy to get on with, serving a delicious and generous portion of breakfast. The location is cushty and super good value for money. It was my first time driving across the country solo and staying in a b&b solo and my experience at penbetha couldn't have been more welcoming

Wonderful warm hosts , delightful setting . Easy walk to local pub and store . Amazing breakfast!! Kay and Neil couldn't do enough for us ! . Great position to visit all of Cornwall . Room and bathroom were wonderful ! Thanks again we will be telling everyone in Australia to visit u guys when exploring beautiful Cornwall . 🥰

Overall a good experience. Nice people serving a good breakfast.

My main concern is value for money. The double room without an ensuite, including breakfast cost £80+. I appreciate that prices have gone up in the whole industry. I was probably not prepared for the increase. I always prefer to go for independent B&B and hotels rather than going for the big chains.
