Personally I love these kind of hotels in the country side, and this one was no exception! Is in the middle of the farms, cool people, restaurant downstairs and I slept very well! I also got a soap to take a shower ;). I do recommend the hotel! It was close to Truckfest, like 7 minutes by car. Planty of parking places there.

I was feeling like crying in the morning, I really wanted to have fish and chips...but they didn't have, even if outside it said "Fish and chips all day every day", so I guess Sunday is not one of those days :). Instead the lady gave me some fresh plate of fruits with yogurt so really happy.

Excellent choice of items on the dinner menu and really well cooked. The hostess was terrific and nothing too much trouble. Having a family room was a great help. This was large clean and comfortable. Easy access to A68 and A1M. Plenty of safe free parking.

With its good value, good honest food, comfortable beds and parking even for trucks it is a massively popular stop for professional drivers. Great folk all but makes the bar a bit loud of course, but there is very comfortable restaurant area too if you don't like that, so not a real problem at all. No complaints at all.

Room spacious and comfortable. Lovely (essential!) to be able to make own tea/coffee. Bathroom spacious, room well-appointed with plugs, lamps etc. Bed comfortable, quiet room. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the homemade curry cooked on our second night... delightful.

I wouldn't say that there was anything I didn't like. The only thing they could possibly have improved on would have been a few more vegetarian options on the menu, and a few more 'light' meals. Having said that, my chicken was cooked without breadcrumbs as requested and I'm sure they would have made it into a big chicken salad had I asked. They were very accommodating with food prefs but no vegan and not a lot of vegetarian options. Otherwise very substantial and nice meals.

Staff were very friendly, check in was easy once we found the right door. Room was quirkily decorated, bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. Dinner was excellent, served in the well stocked bar area though we could have sat in the quieter restaurant area. Breakfast, served in the cafe area was great. Some areas are obviously being updated but this did not detract from the friendly atmosphere.

Just need to change the exterior signage! Look forward to staying again when the changes are finished.

Passing through stop here. Not a lot around to do. Large car park, small tight bar area. Room a decent size with good size ensuite Good home cooked food throughout the day and night. Staff very friendly

Bed a bit low even for me Not a lot to do Resembles a transport cafe in places Washing drying on radiators in corridor. In need of decoration in places

The outside was a little off putting as it needs a lick of paint but there's a large car park which is really handy. Surprisingly there was a communal fridge and microwave which was great for our freezer packs. Wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. Room was clean and comfortable.

The staff are brilliant. I asked if i could use the washing machine and was told no, however, they would do my washing for me free of charge. Washed, dried and folded. After several hours in my room I was feeling peckish, decided to look at the menu at the bar but nothing took my fancy. I ordered a pint and asked if there was a chance I could get a bacon and egg buttie. I had it within 10 minutes and it was gorgeous. The room was lovely, large bathroom, very comfortable bed and pillows. There's nothing, it seems, that the staff will not do for you.

I spoke to the owner about putting a sign up for the bar and check in. Do not go to the part where it says..ENTRANCE.. go to the cafe.

Staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Not really a complaint but I could hear everything going on in the corridor outside the room which is why I’ve not recommended the hotel for a romantic stay.

From the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. My husband is in a wheelchair and they did everything they could to make the hotel as accessible as possible. The food was lovely and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again.

The owners Julie and Benny were wonderful and really looked after me as a solo traveller in a new place far from home. The room was gorgeous and spacious and comfortable. The food was absolutely fantastic. They even came to get me when I fell ill in the next village. I will definitely be back!

Nothing at all.
