The property was ideally located on a lake, and we were fortunate to secure a room with a balcony view of it. The setting was tranquil and most pleasant. All hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The restaurant had a somewhat limited menu and seating away from the bar area was limited. The view of the lake from the balcony was outstanding; however, it partially overlooked paved hotel property, which bordered unmaintained property between the paved area and the lake, which greatly distracted from the ambience of the view. Some grass seed or plantings would have significantly advanced the quality of the view. However, the hotel may not own or otherwise have responsibility for the area in question.

Breakfast was a $16-17 per person extra charge so we chose to to partake. I paid $225 before outrageous extra charges (final total $258) and for that price normally you expect a free breakfast.

Our room was beautiful but unfortunately it had not been vacuumed and several bits of what appeared to be candy was on the carpet. Also we noticed that the comforter was not properly placed on the bed, being at least a foot short of where a normal person would sleep. I addressed that issue as well as the food stuff on the carpet with the front desk.

shower / restroom was great! Cookies were great. 24 hr coffee - great.

When we arrived, the desk attendant asked "are you aware the room you reserved was an exercise room?" We answered... no, what do you mean? He continued to describe the room has exercise equipment in it, but he would not be able to change room types since we made the reservation online... We got to the room, realized what he was talking about. Nice equipment, but hardly what two people celebrating their 48th anniversary would utilize. Moreover, it was frustrating to realize we had one chair in the room.. no relaxing room conversations to consider this trip. So, the bottom line is, we used the room for a shower and bed. The bed covering was as light as two sheets, hardly enough to stay warm.

Clean and those at the front desk were extremely friendly. The fire pit outside looking over the water was also neat and relaxing.

The restaurant had limited choices which is fine but the food should be well prepared for the price you have to pay. The chicken was dry and inedible. Also, we wanted to eat in the dining area but they packed our food in to-go containers and gave us no silverware.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable furniture and the bathroom(shower) was designed gorgeously. We fell in love with the shower, wish that would work in our house. The hotel staff was professional, along with guests who were courtesy. We loved the Crabtree products, this was the first time had used that brand and we are tempted to order on Amazon.

The dinner menu did not offer much. We only ate breakfast there once, in which the food was good. I totally understand the cost of a hotel operating a restaurant. I do not think operating a restaurant would be cost efficient for this hotel.

Everything was great especially the greeting we got from the desk clerk on Friday afternoon Oct 27th. He told us about the local restaurants in the area and even what to order at each one. He went over things at the hotel in great detail just for our overnight stay. He really is an asset to your hotel. I own a business and I know how important it is to have friendly, helpful people representing my company when we come to their house just like when we came to your hotel. That gentleman is a real asset for Double Tree.

Nice staff, lovely location and free parking which is a huge plus. Nice outside facilities and pool right next to the lake.

It is difficult to walk around the general area from the hotel. There is a bridge that crosses from the hotel to the smaller parts of Hot Springs where a lot of boat rentals / restaurants are, but you physically cannot walk there due to the lack of sidewalks. This is not the hotels fault at all, but is worth bearing in mind that having a car will be seriously advantageous.

It was serene and relaxing. You could sit on the lawn without a lot of noise or bugs. The floor we were on was so quiet and clean. I loved that you could only access the hotel floors by keycard.

There were a limited number of rooms with lakefront balconies. We weren’t fortunate to have gotten one. We thought all balcony rooms looked onto the lake.

The rooms were very comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean. The entire hotel grounds were spectacular!

The gentleman, that was working the front desk when I arrived, appeared to be intoxicated. There was a room full of people waiting to check-in and the employee was slurring his speech, eyes were bloodshot, he spoke in circles with the customer he was currently assisting, and his body language was very unprofessional. The MOD had to come assist other customers to clear the wait out. I did request a lake view room but did not receive. My significant other was celebrating a milestone birthday and would have appreciated the view.

We had a balcony suite and even though we were on the roadside of the hotel we still had a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Our bed was plush and the shower was one of my favorites from the hotels we’ve stayed in. Both desk attendants were wonderful during our stay, we absolutely loved Billy and he gave us great recommendations of where we could go in town or things we could do.

The bathroom has a sliding glass door. While the restaurant breakfast was delicious it’s not included in the stay. It was good but I definitely recommend stopping by The English Muffin across the street if you’re going to be buying it anyways.
