Right in the middle of great food/drinks and night life. Very slow time for tourism (Nov.) but worked out for us. got great seating, service and values. Super friendly atmosphere. Just know that bands play nightly, and you will hear/feel music till very late night. But that's what we were looking for. Would recommend. The hotel itself is very charming and small. bedroom and bathroom. Thats it. no seating area to extra chair. So don't expect much room. Bed was super comfortable.

Restroom had no fan so anyone in the bedroom can hear your business.

The location was excellent and very clean! We received a parking pass for free to park within the few blocks around the hotel which was easy and convenient. Directly across the street from the beach and lots of restaurants, short walk to all of the shopping too. The free breakfast was perfect.

Our room was super small and the walls aren't very well insulated so you can hear everything above a whisper coming from other guests and outside.

All of the staff prior and during the trip were very helpful. Parking recommendation, reservations and including accommodations for our after check out. We come here every year and will be back again.

No negative comment just a recommendation that the shower head in room with patio the shower head could be adjusted as my friend and I are both short. But the water pressure and bathroom is very nice.

Very clean and comfortable room. Loved having a ceiling fan and floor fan, plus another fan in wardrobe to use if needed😊. Appreciated the coffee and breakfast choices. Close proximity to beach & restaurants was primary reason for choosing this hotel, as we had never been to Capitola before! Really enjoyed the private terrace on the side…would definitely visit again

It would be nice if coffee was offered a bit earlier than 8:30 am

Perfect location right in the heart of the Esplanade and the staff was especially friendly, helpful, and engaging. I also enjoyed the effort made at providing breakfast items and coffee every morning, which reduced the need to rush out for nourishment.

It is a small place in the middle of the main tourist beach zone, so noise was expected. I was a bit surprised by how loud it could be, but ear plugs were thoughtfully provided. Also, it would be ideal if parking wasn't left up to chance as the pass provided just allows you to park wherever you can find a public spot. Inevitably this means having to drag luggage from where you were able to find a spot.

The location of this hotel can't be beat; it's on the Esplanade in Capitola Village, across the street from the beach and many restaurants. The Hotel itself is historic and very nice, although the room we had was small. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The women at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The little outside patio was perfect for the provided continental breakfast. Although some may not like hearing street noise at night, we enjoyed listening to the music from the bar across the street, seagulls and the waves crashing on the shore.

The parking was the biggest hurdle. There is no established hotel parking; you're on your own to find street parking, which can be nearly impossible if you want to park in the Village when it's crowded (nearly all the time). However, if you can find a spot, the hotel will provide a hang-tag so you don't have to pay. There is no elevator, but my elderly mother was able, slowly with much effort, to climb the stairs to our room. Although we liked the hotel very much, it is what I consider expensive (~$400/night with taxes and fees) and it is not a 5-star venue. What made it worth the price was the location and that it was on my mother's bucket list to stay there. (We lived in the area previously and still love to visit.)

The Capitola Hotel is in an excellent location! Breakfast was a perfect light selection. Room was comfy, clean, well stocked with linens and toiletries. Definitely a "10" out of 10!

I love the size of the hotel, the location, the rooms, the linens. There was absolutely nothing that I would change. The coffee in the morning along with breakfast pastry’s and fruit is perfect to get the morning started. I love the patio area for relaxing with a glass of wine and friends. It is a perfect spot

The location was ideal. We had a great time in this quaint little place. Went to Zelda’s on the beach, delicious. Great band played at the Sand Bar,which was right across the street.

The place was very clean , but small room. It was comfy.

The breakfast was very nice: yogurt, muffins, boiled eggs,coffee and etc. The host/ concierge, Mark, was exemplary. My room was tiny and very clean. Wonderful location!

No Netflix, Hulu or Disney plus but I’m not sure any hotel offers that.Bed was much too soft for me as I prefer a firm mattress.
