Simple and basic. Very comfortable bed. Windows that gave good sunlight. I could hear no traffic noise. Good location to many stores within walking distance.

The hot water wasn't working when you turned the dial counter clockwise to the red mark. Somehow I discovered if you turned the dial 45° past the cold Mark, pointing straight down to the floor, you finally got hot water.

VERY BASIC, but also very cheap, which is what we wanted for a short, very short time after a long flight and leaving early the next morning.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was quiet. We were close to the entrance. Our room #29 had an extra bedroom and cot in it!! The pool was clean. The hallways were odor free.

The greeting from the young lady at the check in counter was not friendly, it was as if we were bothering her since so many had checked in for a graduation before us. My friend wanted to leave 9/6/2023 and cancel our stay but I like the clay structure. I just ignored the worker maybe she was having a bad day but we wont stay here again because of her unfriendliness The air conditioner is dated which cause dust and allergy issues. We actually just turned the thing off. It was cool outside. There is NO elevator!!So good thing we travel light.

Very large room.

There were 5 people in the room and only 3 towels were given to dry off. Not sure why the room wasn't refreshed with towels and the beds weren't remade.

The room was affordable and clean, which I appreciated. The housekeeper was very sweet and front desk was helpful when I called prior to checking in.

The walls were very thin and I could here everything.

This is an older hotel, pretty bare-bones in the rooms, but well-maintained. Big plus for me is mini-fridge and microwave. No coffeemaker, but I bring my own including coffee, or one could heat water in the microwave. Staff was just outstanding - friendly, helpful, actually walked me to my room because that door handle required a little "finesse" to operate. Could not get the TV to work, so the woman at the front desk actually came to my room to see if she could figure it out. She could not, so she said she would have the owner call me. The actual owner did call me in less than 5 minutes, apologized for being off-site, and walked me through using the 2 provided controllers to get TV reception. I thought that was pretty amazing customer service! Further, the owner was at the front desk in the morning. A very hands-on operation! My room was adjacent to the pool, but the minimal noise was fine with me and limited to pool hours anyhow. No suitcase luggage rack, so I used the desk chair, and no clothes hangers - I didn't need any. The bed mattress in my room was extremely firm, but I slept good and had no aching joints. May need to reassess my own mattress. Good location with grocers and shopping nearby, not far from Liberty Station, and a short drive to Shelter Island, Ocean Beach, or Mission Beach. I love that the hotel is small so everything is just steps away.

There's really only one way into the parking lot. One needs to be driving west on Rosecrans Ave *in the right hand lane*. Then quickly pull into the lot, stop, and back into a space (only one space) in front of the lobby. If that space is occupied, then drive around the building (it's a narrow u-turn driveway) and park somewhere in back.

I liked the location. The room was adequate for my needs. There was no coffee/breakfast to rate.

No coffee - I would like to have coffee available in the morning.

Staff was very nice, from the front desk to the cleaning ladies! Room and pool were clean. Would stay here again as long as the prices stay affordable.

We stayed in a room with 3 beds. One of the mattresses was kind of broken/sunken in in the middle. On our last night at about 12:30 am we woke up to the people directly above us arguing very loudly and throwing things. We were concerned enough that we called the police.

America's Best Value Inn Loma Lodge is the best, cleanest, comfortable, quiet, walking distance to shops and public transportation hotel that I keep extending my stay at. I like that they have great parking, friendly and helpful staff here. The rooms are so comfortable like a studio apt except without the kitchen. It's awesome staying here. I like that it's close to old town trolley.

There is nothing I did not like about my stay here. All is good.

Good location while still being accessible and near good places to eat within 10min of driving. Very hospitable staff.

Limited parking and weird to access. Also not quite enough lighting in the rooms. Our room was ground floor and right next to the pool, which was cool but the large sliding glass door meant our room was way less insulated for the noise of the road coming from the other side.
