Room was ample for my husband and I, we had no guests. pool area is beautiful, it's like a tropical island! bar person was very nice and professional, also accommodating, I don't remember her name, sorry, room could use more sturdy night stands, they almost tipped over. The area is fine, but when there is a concert, it gets a little loud and congested, but didn't bother us, kind of like having a free concert! Front desk staff also helped with the room since my husband is slightly Hadi capped and doesn't do stairs well, she put us near a ramp, we really appreciated that!

No dislikes that could be helped, the room was clean, people were nice, the planes that occasionally go over are loud, not always, but when they do...wow. but wouldn't stop us from staying again!

Nice pool and firepit lounging area. Restaurant and lounge were great, loved the live music. Garden area was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room had a musty smell, peeling wallpaper, lights that didn't work or missing switches and low water pressure. However, it was clean and comfortable.

This hotel was beautifully done on the inside and outside! As someone who loves Hawaii it was very enjoyable to be able to relax by the fire pit, listening to Polynesian music, surrounded by a beautiful tropical landscape. My husband and I were there to attend a show at the restaurant and so the location was perfect! That staff at the restaurant/venue was amazing and we had a great time at the show!

When we arrived we were able to check in with no problems, but the women working the front desk was a bit off putting. The only other thing we were disappointed about, although not the properties fault, was there was a somewhat large group of teens/young adults monopolizing the pool/ hot tub. The pool and hot tub looked so nice we were really hoping to be able to use them but it was just too loud and crowded. Bad timing I suppose!

The location was perfect and the staff very friendly. We had a ground floor room which was great as we had 6 bags and didn't have to carry them upstairs. Being able to park outside the room was also a bonus. The facilities in the kitchen were excellent but didn't do them justice as was only staying one night. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast, and the service was very good.

The accommodation was expensive and paying over $130 for a four hour late check out I also thought was on the high side especially as it was so quiet. Didn't like being charged a post Covid 5% fee in the restaurant so I took it out of the tip. The room was a little tired and needed decorating as there were water stains on the ceilings. The room above must have had water leaks.

ADA parking was a miss. There was only one handicapped parking space in the lot nearest our room (which was an ADA room). Older hotel but the room was clean and very comfortable. Rowdy upstairs neighbors threw trash and bottles onto our patio and it was not cleaned up. The view was wonderful and the landscape was tropical. For my husband's birthday. He liked it so well, he booked an additional night.

Great location, great restaurant. Easy parking. Outdoor amphitheater hosts music concerts. Live entertainment in the bar. Great views of the harbor and yacht anchorage. Nice ambiance, this is not a sterile high-rise tower.

Its necessary to adjust to the fact that the airport is very nearby and therefore there is a good amount of aircraft noise, as departing planes are passing almost overhead. The good news is that there is a curfew, so the planes do not fly late at night or early in the morning. But if you want to nap during the day, bring earplugs.

The grounds were beautiful! It was reminiscent of a stay in Hawaii. I especially loved the 2 parrots, the Koi and the family of ducks. Very relaxing for a 3-day get-away! Several near-by restaurants including the restaurant at the hotel that was quite good. Very close proximity to the San Diego Zoo. A true treasure!

The room could have been a little larger. But, it was certainly adequate. The bathroom and the area where the coffee maker and refrigerator were, was a nice plus.

Interior courtyard and pool area are spectacular. Lush, well-kept, comfortable - large pool too. We felt like we were really on a resort vacation and that was an unplanned outcome. Location is perfect and we enjoyed walking out to Friendship Bell. Short walk to Bali Hai for our SD event. The restaurant is terrific - two great breakfasts with fine service and ambiance. With the 20% hotel guest discount, it was great value. Would definitely stay here again. On checkout we were told our wing is scheduled for upgrade - but it was fine as is. A plus: at check-in we were given the map and choice of rooms with explanation of pro's and con's. We opted for second floor room facing garden. No balcony but more private. Also lots of seating in the garden patio.

Would have liked lobby complimentary coffee in the morning!

The Inn complex is a secluded hideaway, with lush gardens, beautiful pools. it feels quiet and relaxing, with a pleasant but non invasive buzz of activity. the staff were both efficient and friendly, it was easy to get to and rooms were clean, with everything I wanted.

if you don’t like noise, be aware the property is in an area close to both the airport and San Diego’s military facility (which is also very convenient)

Location is excellent on Shelter Island, near San Diego Bay attractions. There are lots of restaurants within half a mile or eat at the hotel. The hotel follows an island theme with swimming, fire pits, and animal sanctuary. It’s a fun place for families or couples to spend a vacation. We came to see Beth Hart at the amphitheater owned by the hotel.

The rooms follow the island theme somewhat and are dark colors with cedar trim. Maybe a little outdated.
