The place is special. AMANDA made us feel special and is very professional and service oriented Will definately stay again and recommend to all. The Continental breakfast was available from 7am right up to lunch hour in the front parlor. Glass of wine on arrival. Fresh fruit, soda and chocolates, in our room. The soda was 2 cans of coke, I suggest offering plain sparkling water as well as many people don't drink sugary sodas. However I am certain if I had asked to swap the drinks it would have been happily done.

Nothing. However, constructive critic: Shower door seal and hand towel rail hanging loose so minor maintenance for this historic mansion. Due to staff shortage from Covid 19 The restaurant trades only 3 nights a week, very limited seating and does not cater paying guests or any room service. On the evening we arrived after travelling all day there was no seating availability and there is no in room dining service at all. However this made us go out and explore the surrounding area and we found lovely little fushion restaurants within 15 or so minutes walk. The bar fridge in the room and our friends room sits directly on the carpet so the door rubs against it to open/ close. If the fridge leaks the lovely carpet would be soiled.

Stunning home, so unique and wonderfully updated. Room was beautiful, comfortable, had nice accessories. The staff (1) were very friendly and helpful. There was basic breakfast to grab in the morning.

Limited staff, had to wait 40 mins to check in as only one person was working and was helping someone else. Restaurant has not reopened since COVID, due to staffing. Parking was $50+

We decided to look for a hotel that was not part of a big chain and came across Mansion on Sutter. The hotel was so welcoming, clean and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean. Bed was so comfie. Fitness room was modern and clean. Hotel building and reception classic and quality. Lots on interesting art and antique including the furniture. Really enjoyed our stay there and will visit again

The bar area was sadly not open. it looked really cool and when re-opened will add to the offer.

Wow. We had really a wonderful stay at this Mansion in San Francisco. It’s like a little castle in the middle of San Francisco! We had a great welcome by Amanda, who was delightful. Our room is superb. We loved everything about this hotel. Would definitely recommend the experience.

The staff were very accommodating and even the security guy would help me in the morning getting hot water for my tea. Some residents complained about the lack of breakfast, but for me it was perfect.

Our stay at The Mansion was delightful! The whole team went above and beyond for our stay from booking to check-out. The communications we received regarding expectations for our trip were seamless — Omar helped coordinate the requested room upgradeI had made & also ensured we had local pastries delivered to our room prior to arrival + was gracious when I canceled the initial sandwich delivery I was going to have him set up too. Upon arrival, they provided our stay itinerary and showed us to our room which was absolutely beautiful and then went to bring our luggage up. Mg husband went swimming one day and we came back and Omar dried his swimming suit & towel for us.

Nothing could have been better. Staying in a place like The Mansion was a delight even during CoVid when not all amenities were up and running!

Could have had a more complete and freshly cooked options like freshly brewed coffee , omelettes scrambled or / fried eggs, chicken sausage , etc. would have paid a bit more for the room.

Very little not to like. Excellent experience overall

The location was great and the staff was very helpful. When something was wrong with my room, I was allowed not only a room change but option as to which room & that meant a lot. It was my 10yr anniversary and I needed everything to go perfect and they set it up for it to be just that. When we walked into our room for the first time, Petals were left from the door leading to the bed that had a heart mad out of petals as well & champagne on ice. Appreciate the stay and service.

Beautiful location and Victorian from 1881, old world elegance, charm and pillar in SF history! Highly recommend for a special and memorable stay. We are glad we experienced!

With Covid there was no breakfast or dining services provided to guests (neither in the dining room or delivered to your room), guests can make their own coffee on the first level.
