The location is excellent. It's literally just a block from the Heavenly Village with all its restaurants, bars, cafes, etc., and the bus stop where you can catch a bus 50 that takes you to South Lake Tahoe and back, for free! We got the king room. It was very clean, comfortable and with enough space for two people to stay comfortably. The carpet was very tick and looked new. The furniture looked old fashioned but it was no problem.

Maybe they could put up lighter curtains in addition to the dark ones when you want to get some sunlight in but wouldn't want to fully expose your room to the outside!

Very comfortable room with good size refrigerator and microwave within close walking distance to everything. We got there before check-in time and there was a room available on second floor but we decided to wait for a room on ground level and said we would come back. When we did the really nice lady (forgot to ask her name) had paperwork ready and it’s was just a matter of a few signatures. That was much appreciated. She went above and beyond on another personal request I had too.

Very petty I know but I wanted to catch some of the Oscars and the TV had very limited channels. Even found it difficult trying to find news channel. But don’t base you choice in this property on this as everything else was wonderful.

The location was perfect, close to everything. The room was spotless, we actually stayed 2 weeks and the cleaners changed our towels every day, our bed many times, they were the stars of the show!

The only problem was the "continental breakfast". It's bagels or porridge, that's it. Once I got my head around that I was ok, after 2 weeks I don't want to look at another bagel! Also, we had to constantly ask for more things as they were not very attentive and things ran out after 15 minutes of opening. Plus, their website says breakfast included, therefore we have paid for it but the owner/manager kept saying it's complimentary and don't have to provide it! If there was more variety and no issues I would have given top marks for the blue lake inn.

Everything was great - value and proximity to Heavenly was what we expected. The weather was also warm enough that we were able to walk 5-10 minutes to where all the restaurants were on the main road.

On the morning of our checkout, a staff member (or someone with a key) knocked on our door around 8:30 in the morning while we were still in bed and before we can even answer, they used a key to enter. As soon as they saw us, they left. It was fine, but weird. I wish they had a deadbolt that you can lock from the inside.

Check-in was quick and easy. Location was great, and they gave discount tickets to the beach area that is about a two-three block walk. Rooms are nice sized and clean. Super friendly staff, and the bagel station in the morning was a nice treat when you're not hungry enough to walk up the street to a restaurant. So many shops, bars, restaurants, and things to do in this location, and the price was perfect for our budget for this trip. My sister and her husband checked in before we did, and when I asked if we could be near them, they switched our room to be right next to them. The barbeque area is a nice plus too!`

The pool was not open, but not a big deal since the lake is so close!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was good sized with a comfortable bed. For the most part the room was clean. The bathroom was large and well lit. Good walking distance to the casinos. We did not go to the beach on this trip

The lighting in the room was very inadequate. The room was on the dark side, even with the lights on. The lighting over the mirror in the bathroom area was dim, making it very difficult to see when putting on make-up etc. The carpet in front of the mirror needed a good cleaning or replacing.

Very friendly staff. Super close to Heavenly gondola. Free parking was very convenient. Comfy beds. Great price.

Heater was very noisy, but seems like that is standard in USA motel rooms ;-) The free breakfast is very basic, but welcome before a day of skiing.

Pretty good. Room is relatively spacious and even if not the most modern, it looked relatively clean. I had pretty low expectations for the breakfast and it was pretty fair. Every morning we had available: bagels w/ a toast, cream cheese, apples, oranges, OJ, milk, instant oatmeal, fresh coffee, etc. Maintenance at the hotel prevented any slippery floor even after some snow storms, and I appreciate that a lot as my family had 0 accidents due to icy floor. Plus one for lending me a snow scraper to clean up my car. Room heater was good enough, mini fridge was spacious, shower was great. The king bed was super comfy. It's not a luxury brand, don't expect that, but for the price and location, you can't beat it.

Bath tub could have some care. Non-slip stickers were tearing out and drain was starting to clog. Another pet peeve (not a complaint): I could use a floor rubber mat to drop my snow boots. I wish I could find a channel guide for the TV available. Maybe it was there but I didn't really care about watching much, just finding something for the kids.

The ski area is very organized. The gondola lines are organized and fast.

The food court at the Heavenly Ski top is not properly setup. Customer has to line up in different lines just to order different kinds of food. Example: 1 line for Pizza, another line for chicken, another line for burger, another line for soup. Why can't a customer order different foods in one line. Poor coordination and service. Very expensive for poorly prepared food.

A decent motel right in the heart of the shops, bars and restaurants of South Lake Tahoe and only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Looked as though it would be in the ideal spot for winter skiers. An added bonus for the weary traveller was the very reasonably priced laundry facilities. Breakfast wasn’t mentioned in our room rate but they did provide cereals, bagels, coffee and juice.
