The apartment was AMAZING. Very neat and clean, the bathroom was excellent, also super clean. Before arriving I saw a lot of complaints about the tobacco smell. The tobacco smell was almost null, you can barely smell it on the elevator and there’s absolutely no smell on the room. As for the noise from the L Train, if you are a light sleeper, ear plugs will definitely improve sleep quality; however, you get used to it and it is actually a nice touch from the city. I slept on the sofa next to the window and the L Train without earplugs and can’t complain about my sleep. The location of this apartment is simply unbeatable. The main city attractions are within walking distance; there’s a Circle K, Walgreens, Target literally within 100m from there, as well as many restaurants and cafes. You should download the Sonder App to make the most of your experience. Even though there’s no lobby or personnel physically visible, on the app they tend to respond pretty quick and the staff was always nice. The complaints about the building having too many codes and about the passwords to access the room are just because people do not read instructions carefully. The instructions I got from Sonder on my email as well as on the app were concise and clear, did not have any trouble getting in or out from the building. To sum it up, Sonder Jewelers Row was an incredible experience. Gotta reiterate that the location is incredible, and the apartment was super comfy and modern.

The metro train was a little too loud, the location was amazing, the cleanliness and comfort were great. I would stay again for the location only. The art institute was only a block away! Multiple museums, theaters, river tours and parks were within walking distance.

The train was a bit noisy.

We were thrilled with our stay. I ended up getting sick so the fact that everything was contactless made it a great place to recover. The app made checking in early for a fee easy and I used it to contact support to get an extra blanket to keep warm on the couch, which arrived within a couple hours. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The location was also great - really close to the Art Institute.

The overhead fan in the bedroom area has a light and it's not possible to turn off the light without also turning off the fan. It would have been nice to have the option to leave the fan running at night. The only other issue was a wooden piece under the bed that was in a perfect spot to hit with your foot. I stubbed my toe on it at least 3 times.

The location is great. The Appartment was really good and had everything I needed. All new and well equipped.

It’s located next to a train line and some other business so it’s noisy even at night. The rooms should have another set of windows to have it better (noise) isolated. To be fair they offer white noise machines but personally, I like silence. The check in process was clear but it would help to send the process with pictures.

The access to everything within reasonable walking distance was great. The apartment itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

Although the physical location to everything was very good, the end apartments facing Wabash street suffer from extraordinary load noise from the all steel elevated train line ( which is very busy all day and late night). Not sure about the other apartments, however they would be somewhat shielded. White noise machines and ear plugs are provided and you will need them. I think only double glazed windows would go some way to alleviating the issue. A pity as the property itself is so good.

Great location, close to all attractions. Loved the kitchen and laundry facilities in the apartment. Loved the luggage storage facilities.

It is noisy being so close to the train. Cigar shop in the complex meant it did smell of smoke. TV had very limited channels. Entrance to the apartment was quite small and hard to find.

- the convenience and cleanliness of the facility - easy accesses to public transportation, attractions, restaurants.

- they should provide facial tissue - the instructions on certain appliances, such as air conditioner/ purifier - when dark, the street was super quiet.

The location, with 2 bedrooms allowed my family to work from home in the morning and see Chicago sites in the afternoon. The apartment was clean, the kitchen sufficiently equipped, the beds very comfortable, and the tv was easy enough to connect to via Apple Pay. Handy having a washer and dryer in unit. There’s a delicious coffee shop just below which was very convenient for breakfast.

The apartment is right next to the L, which does make a low sound when passing. (No alarms or higher pitched sounds.) This didn’t interrupt our sleep or zoom calls, but if one is sensitive to noise, this may be a negative.

This was an ideal location. We were on the same street as the L Train and in walking distance for everything we wanted to do. We took the L Train to Wrigley Field, but other than that everything was in walking distance. We have the very front room on the 3rd floor so we were sharing a wall with the street. The L train wasn't as loud as I though it would be. We had no issues sleeping.

When we got to the room it was cool. There was central air and heat. There was an additional air unit hooked up in the den area. I am guessing maybe people had issues with heat in the past. The windows are large and the ventilation was taped with painters tape so it did not stay sealed. I would recommend they do a better job sealing the window.

It is very conveniently located to public transportation - two blocks from the station - and thus very easy to get to/from the airport. It is a short walk to the Art Institute, Field Museum, Millennial Park, and Lake Michigan. Our room was comfortable and plenty spacious for two adults. It was great having a stackable washer/dryer in one of the closets. Having a ready to use kitchen was wonderful, and Trader Joe’s being only a straight one mile away was fantastic. (Also, there’s a fantastic coffee shop right next door to the building.)

We found all the codes we had to use to access our room a bit cumbersome, but we figured it out! (And even if there had been problems with getting in, I knew I could call Sonders and they’d walk us through.)
