This is a gorgeous hotel. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and just updated enough to be modern, without changing the charm of the old school feel of the hotel. The hotel historian is an amazing touch. We were unable to join the tours provided, but caught the short documentary on the hotel TV station. Learning of the storied history of this establishment was truly fun

Everything was perfect. Nothing to dislike

The facility was gorgeous, and the bar served an excellent variety of drinks and food. The best part, however, was meeting Larry Johnson and spending time with him on the historical tour of the Seelbach! He is a treasure, for sure!

I was disappointed that in-room dining was not available. For this coffee drinker having coffee other than the room coffee is a must!

Loved that they had a video playing about the history of the Seelbach and an employee there to tell you more about it!

Not really a complaint just an inconvenience and a reminder to others You had to have a key to use the elevator, and I’m the worlds worst about leaving my key in the room if people are still going to be in the room when I get back…..

The Seelbach is definitely the place to stay in Louisville as it’s located right downtown across from Fourth Street Live. The rooms are always clean and have all the basic amenities. The lobby and building itself is beautiful and historic with lots of Kentucky charm. The Seelbach bar has delicious food and a wide selection of bourbon and alcoholic beverages. Breakfast buffet is also yummy!

Location was great. Breakfast buffet was slightly pricey

Valet parking was expensive. One valet kept mentioning they only got paid tips. Plus it always took at least 15 minutes to retrieve our car. One morning it took 25 minutes. This was very frustrating

Staff was phenomenal. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Historic element to the hotel was a definite bonus. Larry Johnson, the concierge is a wealth of knowledge.

The restaurant lounge hours. It should open around noon. If you're at the hotel before 4, there's nothing available for food or drink or an area to chill.

very clean, nice, wonderful service and very welcoming and friendly. very classy . Breakfast was delicious and Service was phenomenal. We had ere also very pleased with you being pet friendly and treating our dogs so well.

They forgot to take our card after a misunderstanding about booking.com and woke us up early for payment.

The hotel did have a restaurant that was good. The breakfast was okay and was overpriced for the selections. The location was fine.

Though this was not the fault of the hotel, the downtown area restaurants and activities were almost gone due to the riots two years ago. We were very disappointed in the surrounding area.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, it's grand but it feels homey and comfortable. I'm not used to Louisville so having a valet was icing on the cake The rooms were spacious, beds were so soft. Everything was super clean. My friends and I had a great time. It was super close to the concert venue we were going to & close to a lot of other things in Louisville. If I go to Louisville again, the Seelbach is where I'll stay.

It exceeded my expectations. No complaints.

The history and the professional staff. It reminds you of hotel stays from decades ago where staff actually care about your stay from beginning to end. Front desk, valet, bar staff, Gatsby Morning Staff, cleaning and maintenance. Everyone was nice and professional. Everyone wanted us to have the best stay ever and it was never forced on or fake, it was real and it mattered a lot for a wife and husband of 27 years that just wanted to get away for one day. And the bar was full with almost every bourbon there is. Ladies were knowledgeable and fun for us while we sampled a few drinks. Everything was done up right from the music, to the history, to the interactions.

Leaving, I hated to leave. :- ) I would have been happy to move in. It was so pleasant and so close to everything. Cannot wait to come back for a full weekend.
