The location in the French Quarter is perfect and the quaint NOLO style of the property with the courtyard made this a great stay for us. It has wonderful personality. Everything in the FQ is walkable yet it is very quiet from street noise.We asked to overlook the courtyard where we enjoyed an evening glass of wine . There is great ambiance with fountains and a pool but sometimes hard to find a spot away from smokers. We requested a refrigerator as rooms do not come with them.The room was large,clean,and the service was very friendly. We enjoyed the good coffee from the in-room machine, the bed was comfortable, and AC was quite proficient!This is a unique boutique type hotel with lots of history. It is not a luxury hotel if that is what you are looking for. We loved it. We will definitely stay again!

We would’ve enjoyed a sitting area in the room. The walls are quite thin between rooms and we heard others’ TVs going on all night. The bathroom is a little dated but this wasn’t a problem for us. Also I think rooms should always come with a refrigerator but they were happy to supply one by

PERFECT LOCATION! Right in the French Quarters but an area perfect for the family away from the loud bourbon street crowd. Pretty much walked everywhere. Shops and restaurants all around us and across the street from the river. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The garden was adorable and had a European feel to it. If we come back, we will rebook here. Room was large with exposed brick and 2 windows allowing for nice lighting. Beds were comfortable. Really neat beautiful and historic hotel!

nothing, with the exception to parking. there is a parking lot directly across the street that we paid $126 for 2 nights. Apparently it’s a little cheaper through hotel but had no idea that was an option until it was too late.

The location is spot on and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

This is not a hotel issue but the car park across the road is very dangerous for cars we saw many smashed windows. This is car park is offered with the hotel but I recommend finding secure parking for this area.

The Inn stated up front that this room had no windows, which was fine since we were booking to obtain a king-sized bed in a location closer to Frenchmen Street. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The central location was great as it was easy to get to Canal Street and Frenchman Street where we would pick up local buses to travel to other locations. The staff was very helpful and forward leaning in providing walking directions and helpful tips!

They first weekend in February 2021, New Orleans experienced heavy downpours and our room had a leak from the ceiling. We informed the front desk, but it did not appear that they took any action. They did offer to move us to a different room, but we declined. The leak was in the far corner and a towel within a trash can took care of the drip for the time that we were there. Despite this, we would stay at this property again.

the location was perfect. it was central to everything we wanted to do which made it easy to stop back multiple times throughout the day when needing to use the bathroom or just a breather before going back out on another adventure. the staff was very friendly. while I was originally disappointed there were no refrigerators, it didn’t really matter because we didn’t take any leftovers from the places we ate and there was a vending machine in the pool house with cold waters (and other drinks and snacks) if you needed something cold.

for the most part there really wasn’t anything about the property that we didn’t like and our stay was overall great. rooms could have been a little better kept (the towel rack in the bathroom was not fully attached to the wall and there were some damage to the walls). and i was a little disappointed to find that our room had no exposed brick and character to it like the photos of the room we booked showed. however neither of these things would keep us from staying here again if/when we go back to NOLA.

Gorgeous French Quarter property. The exposed brick in the rooms and the traditional courtyard were unexpected and really beautiful. The location is perfect, within walking distance to great restaurants, all of the New Orleans must sees, or a quick ride to some of the off the beaten path spots. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We were especially surprised when the front desk clerk who checked us in, remembered us by name the next day on our way out the door. Even the bellhops were awesome with a kind word, quick joke, or insider tip of where to go for something yummy or fun. We’re in New Orleans 2-3 times a year and this is now our go to spot whenever we’re in town!

Couldn’t think of anything we disliked.

The location is fantastic for the French Quarter; just a couple of blocks from Café du Monde and Jackson Square. The courtyard area of this hotel is really cool. A very nice and peaceful place to sit and have a glass of wine or cup of coffee and talk.

Our bathroom was a disappointment because they did NOT clean the shower/tub area. There was an opened bottle of shampoo and a used soap with a hair on it left in the shower. That part was rather disgusting. Overall, everything else was fine. The air conditioner wasn't the best it was either cold or warm. I expect some issues with old buildings, so that wasn't a real issue for me.

Perfect location and staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is just what you would imagine staying in the French Quarter. The quart yard was lovely and the convenience of the location was perfect. Just steps from all the things that the French Quarter is!

The only negatives were a bit of noise. Our room was just above one of the main doors and we could hear it opening and closing frequently. Also there was painting being completed and just outside our door was large scaffolding which took away from the beauty but we do understand the up keep on such a beautiful building imust be done.

Amazing location and friendly staff. We told them we were arriving early and they already had our room ready. They also kept our luggage so we could enjoy the area longer before our evening flight. So easy to get everywhere in the French Quarter and over to Frenchman St. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is actually a collection of buildings, so make sure to head up the correct staircase, or you may not be able to get through to your room.

Because this is a historic area, the rooms reflect the vintage buildings, but they were still clean and comfortable.

Wayne at the front desk greeted us, he was friendly and professional. Got us checked in and had arranged a special treat for my brother and his wife in their room for their anniversary. He also gave us great local recommendations and set the tone for an amazing visit to New Orleans. Leonard the bellhop was also attentive and helpful. The location was perfect and the hotel was rich with history with a beautiful courtyard and pool which we used daily to escape the mid day heat.

I loved everything about The French Market Inn, my brother would have liked a mini fridge in his room.
