Charming,excellent location,very comfortable!

Hidden fees of over 30 American dollars per night. They claimed it was for parking, but we didn't have a car!

I like the lobby. It’s spacious with adequate seating and tables. This is very important because there’s not enough space in the bedrooms to hang out or sit to use one’s computer. Although the space in our room is adequate, there’s nowhere to hang toiletry bags or make-up bags. The hotel should install hooks inside the bathroom to make it more convenient for the guests. I like that we can open the windows so that fresh air can come in. This is very important because the hotel is old and is smelling old and stuffy in the room.

The ‘old’ smell. I know, the hotel is old and it’s part of it’s charm. However, smelling old when we first came into our room is not a good feeling. But opening the windows resolved that problem. I don’t like carpets in general and the carpets look old. Clean but old.

The hotel has a lot of charm as a historic hotel in Santa Fe. The location is ideal...right in the midst of everything. I liked having breakfast at Pasqual's, just down the block, since there was not a breakfast option at the hotel.

The only real problem was that our room faced onto the back of a building, and at 4:00 a.m. a huge trash truck emptied two big, loud dumpsters. The windows are single-pane and not soundproof at all, and it was a bummer. I understand that this isn't in the control of the hotel, but we requested a quiet room. There was a surprise $30 "amenity fee" that included parking and using the gym at another hotel and a pool at a third hotel. I understand a fee for parking, but since there is neither a gym nor a pool on site, it seemed a bit duplicitous to charge an amenity fee.

Very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

My main disappointment was in the bar/restaurant. In the bar area - service was very slow and waiters not attentive. I believe they lose a great deal of revenue because they do not offer service in the porch area. I heard many people complain that they had to wait a long time at the bar to get a drink to carry outside. Also, not offering finger food was also disappointing. While the restaurant offered upscale fare it did not seem appropriate for the bar.

Great location and historical building.

The hotel needs to figure out their parking. I feel sorry for the staff that are placed in a very awkward situation with valet parking. When the hotel is busy it forces a line of cars that backup the already congested street in front of the hotel. And if you’re forcing customers to valet park their car, you cannot say that you are of no fault. If something happens to their vehicle. That sign you have in the parking lot will absolutely not hold up in a court of law. Please, for the sake of your staff and customers figure something out when it comes to parking.

Cosy room, beautiful building and decorations, lovely cleaning staff, very nice bathroom items, valet staff helpful.

Female desk staff could have been much warmer and much more welcoming and helpful. Very disappointing eating / beverage amenities, unless alcohol. Why 2 bars and no cafe? Little effort regarding Christmas spirit from staff. The hotel felt very stripped back re: refreshment services, i.e.: none.

The overall 'old-world' look of the hotel was not only pleasing to the eyes but to your heart. The hotel is peaceful, gorgeous and welcoming. The staff are beyond professional, pleasant, eager to offer assistance and appear to genuinely love working for the hotel.

Hotel Saint Francis is absolutely stunning! There were obvious upgrades made as the years passed (toilet and showers added to each room). The nightly rate is a bit pricy.

This is a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Old Santa Fe. Everything is in walking distance. The staff is so welcoming.

This is not a dislike, just information. As this is an historic property, some of the rooms are small. If you like a big room, be certain to review your booking. We were in the front corner of the hotel above the Gruet tasting room. It was very quiet but gets early morning sun. If you like to sleep in, ask for a room overlooking the courtyard.

Great location and the staff was very helpful. The hotel had a lot of charm and the feel of a hotel from the 20's or 30's.

The issue with the Hotel St. Francis is what actually made it attractive to me. It was comfortable but had a vibe from the past. If you are looking for an ultra modern facility this is not your best bet. The fact you had to step up to enter the bathroom took some adjustment on our part. Don't get me wrong we had wi-fi and all but the drawing power of the Hotel St Francis is it's charm and feel of a stay in the past. The in house restaurant is also top notch and Café Pasqual is right across the street!

This is an old, stately boutique hotel with understated class in the very heart of old Santa Fe. The hotel has its own private, valet-managed parking lot (with a supplemental fee) - park your vehicle and walk "everywhere". The rooms are charming.

Being an older hotel, you can get some boards creaking (loudly!) as people walk to-and-fro above you. Similarly, hall noises will carry through the old, thin doors. I noticed this on this trip because a lady with a small yappy dog was on my floor, and I knew every single time they went out.
