From start to finish, our stay at the Inn of the Governors was excellent. The complementary sherry and biscochitos on arrival were only the beginning. The room was very comfortable and decorated beautifully, as was the entire hotel, with great attention to detail throughout The breakfast and dinner were superb and very tasty. As for the location. It is very central and within walking distance of lots of galleries and churches, not forgetting the plaza, where there is nightly music during the summer by real bands. None of your karaoke stuff here. Would we go again? Yes, in a heartbeat. This was our second stay in Santa Fe. The first was really good, but this just knocked it out of the park. Thank you for a great stay.

Nothing.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location right in the center of Santa Fe. Easy walking distance to the Plaza in Old Town. Good with its wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. Oou room had an outside seating area as well, which was lovely in the late afternoon sun. There is a bar in the hotel with friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Breakfast was included and OK, but not as special as it could have been. A continental style buffet would have been nice to go along with the cooked to order main. Also, we appreciate that NM law restricts changing bedclothes daily and that's good, but our room wasn't cleaned and bed weren't made daily and that could have been better. We were told we should have called housekeeping to ask them to do it but actually, we shouldn't need to.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip through the many hotels we stayed at in the Southwest. Most importantly an amazing location in central Santa Fe within walking distance to all key landmarks. We were so impressed by the service here - friendly staff at check-in with complimentary sherry and biscotti, extremely clean room, heated pool for swimming with complimentary snacks and drinks in the afternoon and friendly service at the breakfast throughout our stay. We will recommend to our friends and family and looking forward to returning again.

Super hotel! Close to sites downtown and Rail Yard(15min. walk), walked to everything, free parking, heated pool(swam after snow)- which they uncover for you when needed. We stayed in a std. room- very pretty, comfy and clean, nicely decorated. Included served breakfast at their restaurant Del Charro- very good. We ate our dinners there too, noisy/busy on weekend nights but excellent food and service, reasonably priced, no reservations but they'll call your room when ready. The staff is service minded and very helpful. All types of different rooms, some with balconies or patios.

The Inn of the Governors in Santa Fe, NM thought of everything - including a large luggage rack, magnifying mirror, actual coffee mugs with great coffee, robes, night light etc. The beds were amazing and the staff so accommodating. Although I didn't have time to lounge around the pool, it was a lovely, well thought out space. The adjoining restaurant was a great place to have lunch and the including made to order breakfast was delicious. Oh, and they had a lovely welcoming tasting tray they give you upon your arrival. I will definitely stay here again when in Santa Fe.

Reception was personable and helpful. The porter wholeheartedly offered to help us unload and carry our luggage while we were unpacking. The breakfast service was just right--choice of hot items, bottomless coffee, table service. Best of all, the location puts one right in the middle of everything. We walked to the Plaza and purchased items from the indigenous people, ate the best apple pie at the Plaza Cafe, went on a docent tour of the New Mexico Museum of History, visited the O'Keeffee Museum, shopped at cool boutiques just across the street, and visited the Loretto Chapel and Cathedral.

Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room was very close to the parking area. The breakfast features a nice choice of freshly prepared items including enchiladas. We enjoyed the close proximity to the square and the downtown shopping/dining district.

When we checked out, my card was charged for a substantial amount more than our booking. When I asked about the charge, the staff assured me that the charge would change once the charge came through. It did charge the correct amount, but the staff was not clear about the first charge, and they were rude when I asked about it. I am vegan, and the vegan choice for breakfast was not great. The El Charro Restraunt was even worse, with the only vegan option a plate of raw veggies and bottled dressing. If you are vegan, maybe bring your own food, or dine elsewhere while staying in Santa Fe.

The property is nestled in the plaza square neighborhood and is within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and attractions in that area. The staff at checkin were friendly and welcoming. The "welcome tray" given when you check in, containing tastings of dry and sweet sherry, biscochitos and dried fruit was a nice amenity. Self parking was convenient. A complimentary breakfast is served from 6:30-10:00 every morning. The breakfasts are made to order with a good selection of menu options to choose from. The service was very good in the dining room.

The rooms are decorated nicely in traditional Santa Fe style and are very clean but updating in a few areas would really make a difference in this property. The bathroom was clean but the tub had been re-enameled and had some chips in it, the caulking was worn away in areas and there is a rather strange drop ceiling over the tub. The beds were comfortable but the linens were not fantastic quality. The thermostat system was also dated and there was no ability to program in a temperature. The dial just said "warmer or cooler" so it was difficult to get the room to a comfortable sleeping temperature. We stayed in a room that faced the back alley and delivery trucks began rolling in about 4 am. If we stayed again, I would request a front facing room.

it was nice. it was close to the plaza of Santa Fe. They welcomed us with Cherry and cookies. nice welcome. we had free parking

Our room had an outside door. We thought it would be in an enclosed hallway as indicated by their pictures. They did not clean our room while we were there. They did tell us this upon arrival, and offered to bring clean towels, but we’re not friendly to accommodate that. We went to their bar area. Food (chips and salsa) and drinks were priced out of sight. the waiter ignored us to order more. he chatted with his friends and we had to go get him for our ticket.

Location - walking distance to most things we wanted to see and do; breakfast was good; comfortable beds; nice linens and towels; clean; nice amenities; staff was excellent

The shower was just adequate; water pressure a little low; maybe a new shower head would fix that; if they are trying to save water that isn’t accomplished when you have to rinse longer with low pressure; noisy room next door; walls don’t muffle the noise much; no housekeeping service unless you ask which isn’t needed for a 2 night stay but price should be slightly less if that service isn’t used
