The service was really nice and breakfast was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights, so we didn't need too much comfort but it was still good to have a clean room to relax after a long day in NY. It's easy to get into town and especially nice to sleep in a quite area without all the noise from the city.

It would have been nice to be able to book breakfast, so that one doesn't have to wait for a table or service.

More than the amazing view, more than the good location, more than the comfortable king size bed, the most important is the kindness of all the staff. Everyone is so kind and ready to help you if needed !

If I really want to be fussy, I would have appreciate a fridge/microwave in my room but there is a lot of restaurants and little supermarkets around the hotel

Location is outstanding for a value trip to NYC. Subway is 4 minute walk to a main line to Times Square, Central Park, Financial District. Rooms are clean and lots of food options are nearby. Roof top restaurant and 7th floor public balcony are great for skyline views of Manhattan

Wifi was spotty. Definitely noisy with sounds traveling between floors. they have a 10th floor reception room and we could perform lip sync battles with the songs they played.

Very friendly staff. Great location to explore NYC, 5 minutes walk to the next subway station and then a 10 minute ride to Manhattan. Awesome Deli next to the hotel with everything you need, including good breakfast options. Hotel was comfy, quiet and not as crowded and hectic as many places in Manhattan. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a moderately priced hotel only 10 minutes from Grand Central Station. Nice Manhattan skyline view from our room as a bonus!

the location and price.

The inability to put my family in rooms on same floor. The trip was booked several months in advance, and a phone call was made (twice) prior to trip bc we had small children. Instead we were placed on 2nd and 4th floor.

The customer service was exceptional! It was close to subways and close to restaurants. I really liked it because it was away from NYC enough to get a more authentic NY experience, yet close enough to be a tourist and enjoy days in the city. Nice rooftop restaurant and only about 20 min from airport.

Only small issue was our bathroom sink drained very slow and would fill up if water was running.

Had an issue when I arrived in NYC, as my expected accommodation fell through. Had stayed in LIC before and found this hotel. I didn't know what to expect, except that it was available for my stay. I was welcomed by friendly staff. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Restaurant on premises that has very good food from breakfast till dinner, and reasonable for NYC. The view from my room was incredible. All staff were very nice and helpful. Amazing experience all around.

The in room lighting is too stark. The lamps need much softer bulbs to take the harshness away. This really was problematic at night when wanting to relax. The furnishings are a bit dated. I do wish there a kettle or two available (at desk) for us tea drinkers. Running hot water through the coffee maker doesn't cut it. TV channel reception and selection wasn't the greatest.

The property was very inviting. This hotel was hip and apparently very popular. I felt young being around this crowd. On the last night, there was a wedding upstairs and the dining room was also open before the wedding. We got to see the beautiful set up of that space! It was amazing. The floor below had the reception I guess because when the doors opened to the elevator, there where beautiful place cards on the table, gorgeous flowers draping the surrounding, little candles glistening. That was just a glimpse that we were so lucky to see. In the evening, there were lights on that floor you could see from the train. It just looked awesome! That was the place to be.

The hotel has a great view to Manhattan. It is worth spending some money to get a room with view. Optionally there is an accessible balcony on the 7th floor and roof restaurant with a great view as well. The subway station is nearby, direct link to Manhattan. There is a nice BBQ place in couple of blocks. There is cafe and restaurant in the hotel.

The neighbourhood is not the best. There are no much things to do around the hotel. Proper grocery store is in 10 mins walk. The double bed room has a view to Manhattan but at a steep angle. Single rooms are much better. The hotel is in Queens, so getting to Manhattan takes time. There is virtually no way to park on street. It is all ocuppied all the time.

Bed was really comfortable. Restaurant was very basic but food was delicious and service was excellent.

In the morning, I need to order a taxi for my next location and lady at reception has done that for me. As I was in the taxi, I have asked the driver how much that would cost and he said it was 55$. I told him no way as my destination was only 10 minutes away from the hotel. So gone back to reception and told the lady what has happened and asked her to call me yellow taxi.. she had responded, that they are only working with this taxi company. I said to her so you know that they are ripping off people with asking double the price and still working with them I will never recommend a establishment which has no interest to look after their customer!!! I called taxi myself and paid 21$ with tips to same destination.
