Amazing service from Imperial. Attentive and went out of their way to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Gave me tips to maximize my stay. Although I had no breakfast included in my booking, the hotel prepared a huge take away breakfast as I had an 6.30 am pick up to Sapa, Before arriving to Vietnam I wanted to arrange a trip to Sapa as I had limited time in Vietnam. I was struggling to find something on the internet. The hotel connected me to the tour desk and Ian was amazing. He answered all my questions and advised the best options for my limited time. He customised a trip to Sapa with my own guide and arrange an excellent hotel there as well. Fantastic location in the heart of old quarter. 5 minutes walk to everything and still very quiet. Hotel was so good I am staying with them after my Sapa trip

Nothing.

We had a wonderful 5 nights stay at the Imperial. It is located in a side street of the Old Quarter, so I guess it was much quieter than Hotels would have been along the main roads, but non the less within a few meters, you were in the bustling life of the city and the weekend night life at the Hoàn Kiếm Lake right around the corner. There has been some occasinal dog barking or random street noise at night, nothing to avoid I guess and much less than at home, it did not disturb our sleep at all. We got an upgrade to the Imperial suite, but non the less - we had a look to decide if we would stick to our booked suite which had a bath tub and facing away from the street, or the Imperial suite, which is more spacious but without tub and facing the road and opted for the last one just simply for a bit more space, although the other one had enough space, too. The rooms were both clean, well designed and the hotel was very well maintained if not recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable and after our long days out we enjoyed to come back and rest in it or on the couch and take a refreshing hot shower. The employees were very attentive and supplied us with everything we needed, house keeping was superb. On arrival we got an introduction and tips for the city. If you are interested in tours and you have not planned anything ahead you can book some with them or they are generally helpful with suggestions, but we have not used this option as we had made plans beforehand already. They also offer spa treatments, but as we did not use any spa options in or outside the hotel we can not say anything valuable about it either. We got a late check out on our last day. We were told upon arrival that credit card payment comes with a 3% surcharge cause of banking fees, so this did not surprise us anymore during check out, but I could not find this information on booking.com, it is not alot, but you might want to be aware of that.

The hotel is spotless, very comfortable and everything looks exactly as it does in the photos. The location is excellent, surrounded by loads of things to see, shop and eat. The best: the staff. Everyone we interacted with was extremely polite and helpful. They all spoke excellent English, which we highly appreciated. In particular I have to mention the hotel manager, Mr Duong. Communication with him was incredible and he was incredibly helpful when organising our trip. Not only did he help with booking the taxi from the airport, but also travel to and from Sa Pa, to and from Cat Ba and even offering help with Ninh Bình. We had a late minute change of plans and he was able to arrange the change really quickly. He also helped us book a food tasting tour and we really felt that we could count on them if we had any issue. Honestly, there's nothing else we could expect from the hotel and the people working there. The experience totally exceeded our expectations. We're very happy with it and would 100% recommend it to everyone!

Nothing, everything was great.

This was our second of three stays at the Imperial, a beautiful, small boutique hotel tucked in a quiet corner of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The facilities are elegant and everything you would expect from such a classic property. What makes this hotel exceptional are the staff: from the attentive stewards to the knowledgeable and gracious reception staff, the top floor restaurant waiters, and the spa personnel, the service is truly unparalleled. Every single person gives their best effort to make your stay in Vietnam a wonderful, memorable experience. We particularly appreciated the scrumptious breakfast with so many wonderful choices. The hotel was also kind enough to secure our luggage while we did a 3 day cruise on Ha Long Bay. If you are looking for the perfect, small and personable place from which to explore Hanoi, look no further! This one checks all the boxes and then some!

Location - quiet corner but central vicinity ; ideal for walks within tourist attractions sites in old quarter ! Staff - all frontline staff are proficient in English; efficient; profound customer service oriented, especially Grace Nguyen , Guest Relations officer. Will definitely recommend anyone seeking advice/reviews from previous guests.

Not a complaint - but a plus factor Locating hotel is slightly challenging but once you've found it, it is a perfect location! For those younger generation, there's plenty of cafe joints and happy hours bars for you to chill out.

Imperial Hotel and Spa was our favourite hotel in Old Town Hanoi. Even though it's a small boutique, its service quality and the hospitality of the staff were impeccable. Upon arrival, the bellboy was fast to pick up our luggage from the busy street. Immediately, we were greeted warmly by the counter staff, who went through the nearby places of interest with us over a nice cup of ginger(?) tea. Whenever we entered and exited the hotel, the bellboys were always there to hold the door opened and the counter staff often helped us to press the lift button even before we could reach the lift (we were a little embarrassed to be treated so well haha). Our two connecting rooms were nothing short of amazing too. They were both huge, the beds were comfortable. We had an extra-king size bed in one room and a small balcony in another room. The sheets and towels were clean and they were changed daily if needed. There were ample charging points (international socket and usb points) in the room for all our electronic devices. The breakfast buffet was great - good selection of food, the on-demand pho and different varieties of eggs were fantastic too. We loved the smoothies, yogurt and drinks in the fridge. The staff/waitresses were super attentive and they were quick to clear our used plates to keep the table tidy. Even though this is a boutique hotel and its outer appearance is unassuming, it has set a super high bar for its service standard which we have not experienced even in 5 star hotels in other neighbouring countries. Upon check-out, we were gifted two packs of Vietnamese coffee powder (not sure if all guests receive a gift or it's because my father commented that the coffee powder used by the hotel was super good during breakfast and the staff took note of that... If it's so, that's another huge plus to the hotel).

The Imperial Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is buffet and has enough food to satisfy a variety of tastes. However what is great about this hotel is the staff. They go out of their way to make your stay in Hanoi easy. They purchased tickets to the Water puppet show for us, brought birthday cakes for two persons in our group celebrating birthdays while singing Happy Birthday and in general were there to answer any questions about services, restaurants and locations. They arranged taxis from and to the airport for us at good prices. So a special thanks to Grace, Tracy, and Suzanne who made our stay quite memorable. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of trip and when we came back the second time, they made us feel like we had come home!!

We stayed in an Executive room and Junior suite and both showers did not have enclosures ( very typical of Vietnam) the water sprayed all over the bathroom floor, and is a little inconvenient. Our collegues had the same types of rooms but with shower enclosures, so if its important to you, make note to ask for it.

Their service is amazing. Before I step into the hotel, I made a call prior to my check in which only takes place 3 days later to ask if I could drop off my luggages with them before I leave for sapa. And they accommodated to the request and even highlight that we could use the bathroom at their Spa area to wash up before our overnight trip. When we are back from sapa, we were arranged a room at the 2nd floor (which we didn't quite like) but turns out it was actually quite alright as we barely hear the road noises (soundproof is good). Bed is comfortable too! Front desk was amazing with their help in suggesting where we can head to for shopping/food. I forget to make a booking for a restaurant and needed a local line to assist and the hotel made that booking on our behalf. Right before we left, I filled up the feedback form and briefly mentioned that room service could be more attentive in restocking our coffee and water, and they actually gave us small token to apologise for that. (never had a hotel actually done service recovery so immediately 😭) I am really amazed with them. And... They will never leave you thirsty in the lobby even if you are just chilling. Shoutout to Grace, Tracy and the team for always taking care of us in all ways!

I had to really think hard what I didn't like because everything about this hotel is amazing. But I suppose their Spa facilities could be better and done up more for a cozy and welcoming look.

Location of the hotel is very good, in the centre of old quarter. I want to mention extraordinary customer service of this hotel - extremely helpful, attentive, friendly, remember the details. When we had some problems with health, staff arranged everything to get us to the hospital, and after returning back, they honestly took care about us, without asking bringing food to the room etc. That made this hotel number one by this aspect. When leaving hotel after our stay we received a small gift from hotel personnel- few small packs of coffee and traditional coffee maker. Breakfast and SPA were OK also.

Rooms and especially bathroom are a bit dark due to lack of lights. Be aware that during holidays or weekends that street (where hotel located) becomes as pedestrian area only and taxi may have problems to bring you to the doors of hotel (as that happened to us), but hotel staff met us at the place where taxi was able to stop, and helped to bring luggage to the hotel.
