The room was very spacious for a motel. The housekeepers changed our towels the next day which was a lovely touch. My experience of motels aren’t very good so I was pleasantly surprised. There were plates, bowls and mugs available together with some coffee and tea. WiFi was very good and reliable. The receptionist who checked us in was very patient. He had to deal with a frustrated lady in front with two other customers in the queue and did not get flustered.
The shower was leaking and couldn’t get fixed so we had to endure both nights of constant leaking sound. Was told upon checkout that someone was coming that day. Too bad for us! 🤣

The balcony. The staff. The price. That last one shouldn't be sneered at: I had spent double the money at places double the "stars" for a LOT less in the previous weeks. They didn't have balconies. They didn't have black-out curtains. They made it hard to receive deliverys. They were noisy. ALSO: Watson may be the greatest, greenest suburb ever to burb a sub. So quiet. So chill.
Those god-damned bathroom fans! Pack earplugs...

Bed was comfortable, very clean room, nicer hot shower. Little sofa, table and chairs, and nice to have coffee mugs, ample supply of tea/coffee, bowls, toaster etc. (even a t towel) Great view from the balcony. (autumn leaves)
The neighbors on the first night were very noise!! (some people have no consideration for others trying to sleep at 2 in the morning!) But this can happen at any motel. The second night was great, peace and quiet after 10 pm.

I liked the kitchen setup and how you could place ALL your suitcases off the floor on a bench for easy access to your clothes. Not many motels have this. Beverage sachets were replenished everyday and there was adequate supply.
Dirt behind the door in bathroom but that is just a quibble, the rest of the room space was clean.

close to everything
There was significant mould in the shower, reported to the housemaid,we could smell bleach, when we returned to our room, but it was still there. There were no dinner plates, and no electric blankets on the bed, Canberra gets really cold, the carpet had a huge water mark and wasn't very clean.

Quiet, cozy place! Good price/quality ratio!
Since the hotel is not in the center, you need to walk to the tram stop (15 minutes), and then go another 15 minutes. There are no restaurants or cafes nearby. But this is not a minus, but rather a certain inconvenience that is easily overcome!

The rooms have been refurbished in recent years and have all the features you need for a short stay. The motel is easy to find just off the federal highway on your way into Canberra from the north. The 1970's brown brick exterior might not be to everyone's taste however its the rooms where you spend your time and they were clean and functional. Also good that the land next door is vacant so you are not looking into another building.
Water temp in shower could have been hotter.

It’s Quiet location except for the fact that SummerNats was across the road and on the Sunday afternoon the shredding of tyres had begun!
The buildings are at a right angle to each other and reverberates any noise from the road, car park or guests. Upstairs guests walking around on the balcony or taking phone calls and speaking loudly can be heard by all guests.

We've stayed here a few times and really like it for good value accommodation in a nice location. The place is getting a little old, but has been well maintained. Some of the units have well equipped kitchenettes, which are useful if you want to self cater. All the staff I have interacted with here have been super friendly and helpful. The nearby Watson shopping centre has some excellent options for food, including a couple of restaurants and coffee shops, a small supermarket and a fantastic take away.

Very clean and great value.
I did request a ground floor unit and received a confirmation that this was available however were told on arrival that all bottom units were full, which they didnt appear to be when we left in the morning. Having said that everything else was great and we would certainly stay again.
