Just liked the the atmosphere & tropical surrounds. The rooms were clean & tidy. The verandas was a great place to sit & enjoy what nature offers. Greeting the peacocks was very good Pricing was very good & more than competitive. No complaints really.

Nothing really to complain about.

Basic bedroom with bed only in the room. Shared kitchen and shared bathroom. Had a pool, deck and communal area which were good. Admin staff not sighted as admin was close when I arrived. Phone / email contact only. Had a chat to the gardener, as he was busy maintaining the gardens which were pretty good. Location good as close to Urangan Harbour, close to the esplanade walks and the botanical garden.

The mattress on the bed could be improved.

Green and great atmosphere. Loved seeing the peacocks and frogs etc. Staff member on arrival was friendly and explained everything well. A lot of people but was a quiet nights sleep. Good to have a cup of tea and coffee in the room and many tv channels to choose from. Linen on the bed was wonderful and super clean. To different height pillows to choose from!!! Bliss.

Floor in bathroom smelled like wee. Soap didn’t lather very well. Minor things that didn’t spoil our stay.

The room was spacious, a small fridge in the room, a beautiful back porch and a nice garden. The peacocks were such a delight! The room was relatively clean.

The sofa was very old, bedsheets smelled not very fresh. The laundry was very dirty and no clothes basket or clothes pegs, and very few dishes in the common kitchen, and the Wifi working only in the common area.

We loved our time at Colonial Village, it was a great location at the quiet end of town just a short walk to the water and the marina. We loved the gardens and pond and really enjoyed making friends with the array of birds, peacocks, turtles and chickens and sitting out on the grass in the afternoon sun. Our room was simple but clean and suffecient for the price and stepped out to a lovely garden The kitchen was a good place to refill bottles and the showers were lovely and hot

The foam mattresses were a little thin which made for a less than ideal sleep but overall we were happy with our stay and look forward to coming back another time perhaps in a larger room

A YHA and what a lovely surprise! I felt like I was tucked away in a secret garden paradise. I felt very safe there. Walking distance to boat harbour restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and movies. Lovely peacocks and gardens and a lake / fountain feature. My own garden balcony. Bliss! Next time I'll stay a whole week - so relaxing. Easy parking with my boat trailer. And yes we saw whales with babies on our group's Saturday trip to the top of Fraser Island. Good size shower in my refurbed ensuite that meant I got a good decent hot shower after a day of boating.

The staff was nice and friendly and I really enjoyed my stay. It is a good budget place on really big land to walk around. With my stay there was plenty of parking in the car parks. I would definitely go back there and stay again.

The mattress was a little soft and no tv in room. It would of been awesome if the bar/ restaurant was open. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay.

Loved the gardens, the location and the size of the room. The little deck overlooking the garden was nice. Great to wake up to the sound of birds not traffic. Very homely and comfy.

Sadly much of it is starting to look in need of maintenance especially around the pool area and reception but our room was very nice. We booked a queen size room with bathroom Would stay again

I loved the variety of plants and tree’s right out my front door. I loved the peacocks and it was very quiet. The cabin was just the right size, was nice and homey.

No toaster as stated. The lamp switches in the main bedroom on the bedside tables were very hard to access.

I liked the garden/bush setting with the Peacocks roaming around, the place was easy to find and the room was large as well as the the shower/toilet, I had the disable shower room.

Front door lock needs repairing or replacing as it was at times difficult to lock, there needs to be a mat beside the bed to wipe any floor grit before getting into bed and some cloths hooks and towel rack in bathroom would be nice.
