Good harbour views Good size room. Great included breakfast. Lovely staff.

Loud annoying patrons of the pub outside the window until after midnight. Some clown on a motorbike reving the guts out of his bike at 230am when he missed a gear twice. Then the rubbish trucks from 430am onwards. The double glazed windows did not keep the noise out. Suggest triple glazed as a minimum. No parking "this time of year" as there is a food festival in the allotted car park. $5.30 per hour on the road outside but 1 hour maximum and then move to another for another hour until the 6pm to 830am free parking kicks in then $5.30 an hour max then a shift around the block and another $5 plus until check out time.

Excellent location and corner room had windows on three sides with views of Parliament House and the waterfront. The food in both restaurant and at the pub was varied and delicious. Breakfast was also included in the tariff. The reception and staff especially Nuri, Yolanda, Brock and Dave were very friendly, courteous and professional as well as very supportive when I was ill. Highly recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Hobart.

While the room was very clean, neat, tidy and modern, it lacked enough wardrobe space and although there was a laundry for ironing, an ironing board and iron would have been convenient. There are also some stairs which were not a problem for me but might be for the elderly or disabled.

We stayed 5 nights and couldn't recommend the hotel more! From check in to check out, every member of staff were so friendly and helpful - reception, cleaners, bar & restaurant staff were awesome. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant here and having brekki included let us start our day without having to decide where to go....and it was delicious every time. The room was clean and had eveything we needed. The shower was great and the bed was comfy. The location is perfect - close to markets, restaurants, bars, markets, CBD, it's all there.

The room was a bit small but we were only there to sleep so it wasn't a major problem

Fantastic position by the pier, Salamanca Place etc. Great restaurants, shops etc nearby. We booked a king room with Harbour View. The 1st night we were very disappointed with our room (10) - it was featureless - not even a picture on the wall, but moved to room 8 for nights 2 & 3 and this was a lovely room, as in the picture featured on the site. The staff were really helpful about this. All staff were very nice and the breakfast was superb.

This hotel is basically a popular pub/restaurant with rooms, so is very noisy. There was music playing until late on the nights we stayed which would not suit anyone who wants a quiet place to have an early night! The curtains could be improved in order to cut out the light from very bright streetlights immediately outside the bedroom windows.

Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed room, and an excellent location. My waterfront room had a lovely view, and the breakfast downstairs is terrific - notably the Eggs Benny and Baked eggs. I will try the rest of the menu on my next visit. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bar has a lovely old-world charm and outdoor seating - watch those steps, though. Yes, it's over a pub, so choose your room wisely.

Being an older, refurbished building, there are limitations you should expect. Despite having a lift to the 2nd floor, elderly or disabled travellers may find several mid-floor staircases a challenge to negotiate with luggage. The staff will offer assistance, though it is probably best to avoid the third floor.

THe meals were absoutley wonderful, well cooked, well presented for dinner. The breakfastt menu which was included in the room price gave a good selection and was quite a good size meal.

Everythingelses was wonderful, meals staff, position however we are in our 70s, our oom was on 3rd floor and lift only goes to 2nd necessitating walking up and down a lot of stairscarrying bags/shopping rseveral times daily. When booking people for 3dr floor plese notify them that the lift does not go to that floor. Staff did carry our baggage on arrival and departure when informed of our difficulty and were very curteous

Location is sensational and provides a superb base for those out and about in Hobart, especially when you’re off on a boat trip etc on the waterfront. Bed was comfortable and the room lovely. Breakfast (included in my stay) was delicious and well organised. Check-in was very easy and staff very thorough and willing to answer any guest questions. Can store luggage too.

This is a very old building and though extremely well-kept, it has unusual stairs in funny places when getting to the rooms, so this could be inconvenient if you have heavy bags with you. I also noticed there are some intermittent electrical buzzing sounds in the building that might disturb some people.

Excellent location, across from the Hobart docks. Very close to Salamanca markets. The family room accommodated our family of 6 perfectly. The staff at reception and the awesome staff at the downstairs restaurant were exceptionally some of the best hospitality staff we have ever encountered. We stayed for 5 nights and the waitress knew us every morning at breakfast and was happy to accomodate us.

The only thing would be outdated “creaky” floors when walking around the room. It does get noisy with revellers hanging outside windows over the weekends all hours of the morning. But overall this all added to the experience.
