Good harbour views Good size room. Great included breakfast. Lovely staff.

Loud annoying patrons of the pub outside the window until after midnight. Some clown on a motorbike reving the guts out of his bike at 230am when he missed a gear twice. Then the rubbish trucks from 430am onwards. The double glazed windows did not keep the noise out. Suggest triple glazed as a minimum. No parking "this time of year" as there is a food festival in the allotted car park. $5.30 per hour on the road outside but 1 hour maximum and then move to another for another hour until the 6pm to 830am free parking kicks in then $5.30 an hour max then a shift around the block and another $5 plus until check out time.

Location was fabulous we could walk everywhere

Believe it or not , the toilet paper was awful We never received the phone entry app we were told about even though when we brought it up the lady said she did it , she wasn’t apologetic at all ( Asian lady )

I had a very nice room with a view of the parliament building. The room was large and spacious. They offer free breakfast at the restaurant. My room was above the bar so it was loud at night but they warned me about this serval times and noise doesn't bother me so it ended up being no issue and for the price I was very happy. the staff is helpful and everyone is very nice. Good location easy to walk to most places in Hobart and a very short walk to the tourist center where most tours pick up from.

Overall it was great. My one complaint would be breakfast it's served from 7AM on but most tours leave at 7AM or earlier so I wasn't able to take advantage. Also because it's sit down waiter service you can't just grab some food before you run out to catch a tour. But just factor that in. The hotel is also on a hill so people with mobility issues may have some issue but you can enter through the restaurant (if open) for a more mobility friendly entrance. Also there are a lot of steps as it's an old building so again this could be in issue for some people

Large rooms with wonderful views in a gorgeous historic building right on the water. The staff were professional and diligently made sure we had everything we needed. Delicious breakfasts cooked for us every morning. Easy walk up Murray St to great shopping. We loved being so close to the outdoor and hiking shops for topping up gear and supplies. Stroll to Salamanca, the museum and the MONA ferry. We were travelling as a couple and three young adults and booked a double room and the split level room across the hall from each other. Everyone had plenty of space and we all slept really well. Excellent value.

Parking is the main issue during our stay. Asked for a parking spot around 4pm, arrived around 5pm and found a parking spot on the street closer than the one provided. The lady from the office refused to refund the reserved parking fee. As reserved parking space was available till 10:30am next morning, we moved our car to the reserved parking spot next day around 8am( street parking available till 8:30am) and found out the reserved parking spot was taken by the hotel staff. Although the staff came to move her car after we notified hotel, still not comfortable with the whole story.

Great old hotel with modern amenities. Amazing location with Parliament House across the street on one side and both Murray Street and Brooke Street Piers on the other,. Salamanca Markets a 1 min walk and less than 15 min in any direction to many places of interest including museums, galleries and Farm Gate Markets. Included breakfast was good and made it easy to have an early start. Staff were lovely and only too pleased to help if needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

There was very little to complain about ...however, we were put in a room with an accessible shower and tall toilet which had no hand rails. Also, we paid for parking (open air, across the street) and twice we had to ask reception to have the "boss" move his car so we could park. More of an inconvenience, really.

Awesome location minutes walk to everything you need. Great location for Salamanca Market. Bonus of the hotel is that breakfast is included in the price not a buffet but you can choose one main & drink from the menu, fabulous choice of breakfast. Staff are fantastic, we checked in late and was one of the best check-in experiences I've ever had. The restaurant has an awesome selection of food and the selection we ate was wonderful. I highly recommend Customs Hotel for a stay in Hobart, you will not be disappointed.

There was nothing I disliked about my stay at Customs House

Great, clean and comfortable by far nicest I’ve stayed in over these past few weeks and with the added discount I really can’t complain The added breakfast was fantastic and even though I was late the staff were still happy to provide me with some delicious breakfast Facilities and location definitely a plus

Being informed clearly about the late check in process $50 authorised from my bank account Which was not mentioned it may be that I should have read the policy’s and conditions more clearly But, to be notified after hours after paying whilst at reception when I didn’t have the money spare to be quite honest was all a little overwhelming and now I have to wait up to 5 days to have it returned Only factor that was unpleasant whilst staying

The location was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast served each morning was great. The hotel staff arranged very convenient, paid parking for us. However, we did contact them a few weeks before our stay about this as it is limited.

We knew, and were pre-warned, that being in such a central location plus being above a bar and restaurant, there would be an element of noise at the weekend. However, this did subside just before midnight so was not a major problem for us.

We were impressed with our stay at Customs House. Our room was really clean and comfortable, with views across to the wharf. The breakfast was delicious and varied and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location suited our needs perfectly as the hotel was close to Salamanca Markets and Arts Centre and beautiful restaurants to. Close enough to walk to Moma Ferry and around to Battery Park to enjoy another view across the water. Also the location offered easy access to walk into the city. Having secure parking available too was a priority for our booking.
