It's a very nice hostel! If you're looking for a chill place to rest and relax, might be your place. The location it's great, you can feel the charm of Battery Point and at the same time walk to the CBD if you need something there. The bed is great and it's a very quiet hostel. I had one of my best sleeps in a hostel in my whole life haha. The rooms have nice windows and have direct sun light.

Would be great to have more showers and also some cupboard at the room to place our stuff, but nothing super bad. Besides that, it's a steep walk to go to the supermarket if you don't have a car, but it's still fine to do it for just a couple of days (this is a Hobart thing, because the city in gerenal is full of hills).

Definitely one of my favourite hostels that I've stayed in! The owner and the staff are super kind, welcoming and helpful. The hostel has a nice vibe (feels quite like home), the beds are comfortable and it's clean. The bathrooms and kitchen are also clean. There's a nice terrace to sit outside and they've got two dogs chilling there! :) The location is also convenient, it's only a short walk to Salamanca market, the harbour for the ferry to MONA or Skybus if you want to go to the airport by bus. Battery Point is a nice suburb. If you're staying in Hobart I'd recommend this hostel, great place!

Probably one of the best places in Hobart. The service is personal and professional. The owner is an absolute legend who runs the business like a family and you'll see him around every day. Rooms are clean and tidy, bed are comfy. Plenty of showers and toilets that are clean. Location is second to none. It's located right in the middle of Battery point and is walking distance to some of Hobart's best tourist attractions like MONA pier, Salamanca Market, Museums, among many others. There are 2 friendly dogs here that come and go as they please and you are welcome to play with them. I suggest you do as they make any day better. I will definitely be returning here on my next trip to Hobart.

Great location close to cafes & restaurants, as well as 10 mins to Sandy Bay & city. Lovely room with a glimpse of the Tasman Bridge. Enjoyed the outdoor balconies.

Not really Covid safe in the midst of a pandemic. No Covid signs inside (re masks, social distancing etc), most folk not wearing masks in busy common areas such as kitchen, dining & lounge areas.

Stayed in 8 bed dorm. Well thought out - every bed has privacy curtain, personal light, small shelf for bits and pieces, hanging hook for coats/towels. Kitchen cleaned well every day, with lots of pans, clean tea towels etc and a large dining area. Great location, close to Salamanca Place (5 min walk), in quiet street.

No storage in room - kept my case under the bed, but not so easy for person in top bunk. Only three toilets and a couple of showers across all guests, although wasn't a problem while I was staying and hostel was pretty full. Kitchen is cleaned daily but guests manage to make it a mess and kitchen bins overflow by end of the day.

Central location, close to Salamanca market and waterfront with a great variety of shops. Great bakery just a short walk away, same with restaurants. 15-20min walk to city centre. Room (The Turret) was a bit small to open two suitcases but it was cosy and the heater was great. Shared bathrooms were kept very clean, hairdryers were available on request. Full kitchen facilities available, we were able to buy ingredients for breakfast saving us on our overall trip budget. Plenty of parking. No lift in the property, only stairs.

Didn't realise you had to bring your own shower amenities (soap, shampoo/conditioner).

I stayed there three nights and had a very good experience. Winter is usually a bit cold, but the house is well-heated and warm. I loved the idea of having hot-water bottles in the kitchen for everyone to borrow for the night. The beds are bigger than normal, and extremely comfy. Besides that, the place is very clean, including the bathroom and especially the kitchen. Some other people wrote in their reviews that this place feels like home, and indeed this was the feeling I immediately got when entering the building. The owner is also very nice, motivated and wants you to have a good stay.

VERY CLEAN and pleasant surroundings. Easy walk to hipster things if you have money to spend eating and drinking. Outrageously expensive real estate in the area, cool, trendy consumables. Kind of surprised that a backpackers would be tolerated by locals. Didn't meet anyone in the hostel who could have afforded to eat in the area but nice change to not always stay in backpackers that are usually in back alleys away from the la ded da people. I'm guessing that's also why it is meticulously maintained also. Everyone was very polite and quiet after 10 or so. Not the usual weed smoking guitar playing, bongos kind of place. While I love that vibe too- sometimes it's time for a good sleep!

I would have loved flyscreens. I know! Fussy me, but did get eaten!

Excellent view. Very spacious bed and bathroom. Very clean. The house is inviting and cozy with amazingly beautiful vintage decor. Nice kitchen with generous fridge space. Free coffee and tea is always a bonus. Anthony (sorry if I remembered your name wrong) was an amazing host, very friendly. I love the little essentials provided eg. hot water bottle, map of hobart with recommended restaurants, books, bathroom mats, laundry, and little key fob.
