Size of the room, free parking , view from the room. Reception is in 1st floor. I was searching in the ground floor at first😀

Everything is alright but few things if present would add to customers satisfaction. Like swimming pool, buffet breakfast etc. Also, if there would be more options in the food menu specially in Nepalese, Indian, Chinese etc. So that customers would eat in rather than going outside. Also, i have let the staff know about this, glasses to drink water had some kind of fishy smell, usually it happens if you put the glass down and there is no air for long time. Hopefully it got better. Also, if you are walking then there is a decent walk you need to do for city attractions. This is for whole Tasmania, water did not taste good so we bought bottled water from coles. Also, make sure you dont buy made in tasmania, as those bottled water also had some kind of taste which you might not like😀

We stayed in this place as it was recommended in Lonely Planet as one of the best places to stay in Launceston. The room was unique and featured some of the walls of the original silos. Spacious bathroom, comfortable beds.

There was a problem initially with a misunderstanding about the Tamar River View room. Very disappointed with the view as you needed to stand directly at the window and look to the hard left to see the river. When I spoke to staff, they very kindly moved us to a room with an actual view of the river. The toiletries in the bathroom were poor quality and smelt like stale tobacco - did not match the standard / high quality of the rest of the room. Expected nice fluffy dressing gowns similar to the ones at Peppers Seaport - instead, they were like cheap tea towels.

Room was excellent and met all our requirements and needs. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast (see below) The bed was large and comfortable, I slept well.

Breakfast was included in the hotel tariff but the menu was an a' la carte menu and there was confusion over what was included in the breakfast and what was not, staff though were very good in this regard. It would be much simpler if there was a menu for guests who had prepaid without displayed prices, since prepaid guests are known at restaurant reception. One would not expect this triviality in a top-end hotel.

We had a room overlooking the carpark on level 6 with a balcony but we also had views over the river. It was great. The room was the largest I have ever stayed in with a king bed and sofa bed. There was still room for a table and chairs. The room was clean, excellent Wifi and TV streaming. The interior was pretty cool especially the room numbering in the carpet tiles. The staff were exceptional. My elderly mother was not feeling well and the Grain Silo Restaurant made her a simple cheese sandwich at 9pm at night. Location excellent. Short 5 min walk through landscaped reserve and over pedestrian bridge to marina restaurants. Easy to walk to The University and CBD if needed. We walked everywhere.

Nothing really but the breakfast was a bit limited. Too fancy in some ways if you are staying in the hotel for a few days.

This was our favourite stay in Tasmania. The service was friendly and professional. Our first room had a beautiful view of the river. Tasty in room dining. Large room and bathroom and very clean. Great shower heads, nice and big. Hotel was close to everything but away from the hustle & bustle. Foxtel was included. We returned a few days later and our second room was just as nice, we just didn’t have the river view that time. It was a little expensive but we would stay here again if we revisit Launceston.

We had in room dining a couple of times. It would have been good to have 2 seats at the desk for meals.

Everything. The room was large. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and was large enough to cater for two people’s bathroom supplies. Eg toiletries. We will definitely be back hopefully next year. The food amazing and loved the breakfasts served by incredible welcoming staff.

We liked everything. From the accommodation to staff attention with their friendly welcoming smiles and attention to detail. What else is there to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also liked the areas on Floor 1 where people could meet to f we njoy a coffee or drink.

Room was spacious & block out blinds that were great to sleep well, very comfortable bed. Great shower and bathroom. We enjoyed our stay!

1. No pool 2. We were disappointed with restaurant meals, pricey for what we received. 3. TV was too small for the size of the room. 4. Would of been great to have a larger plunger for morning coffee with 2 coffee sachets instead of a small plunger with 1 sachet especially for sitting on our balcony.

Breakfast and dinner were superb meals and the service was wonderful. The produce was great and the menu interesting. The portion sizes were a problem. Not everyone wants to eat a mountain and no indication is given about the size of the meal which is about to confront the diner. It would be a great help to have half-sized serves as an option. This would help to improve the enviro-friendly credentials of the Silo as it would lead to less waste and a smaller enviro footprint. It would also allow the diners to taste a greater range of dishes/courses and have even more reason to spread the good word about the Silo.

Wow, this was pure luxury, I absolutely loved this hotel, the staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. I felt like I was in a five-star hotel. The restaurant menu and food were divine. The design of the hotel was cool being an old silo. the room was gigantic, and I loved the view over the river, watching people rowing and walking past was lovely and from the comfort of our massive soft comfortable bed, even better.

I didn't like how the reception was on the first floor of the hotel, but I guess that is more a design decision that probably had many factors, that's the only fault I could think of.
