The staff at the Adelphi were wonderful. They helped us with our luggage, serving us drinks and even got cutlery for us to eat out takeaway. My friend had a walker and they were quick to help her access the building via the service lift. The little lounge/ dining area in the ground floor was a great spot. We loved our big rooms and comfortable beds. Couldn't hear any noise from surrounding areas. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Regent Theatre which was where we were going.

A point to note is that this hotel has a small frontage onto Little Flinders Street and can easily be missed, like we did!

It was appreciated that complimentary snacks, drinks and breakfast were provided. We also liked the rather hidden location. We also appreciated the art/decor selected. Although we didn't really watch TV/movies - the setup was easy to use.

The location did get noisy from garbage collection/night works and could do with better sound proofing. We normally would be fine with some noise, but the unfamiliar and sudden noises did disrupt our sleep. A warning, given it was a lower floor might have better set our expectations - also maybe a suggestion (and facility) to set up some ambient sounds before going to bed might alleviate disrupted sleep.

Great location to explore anywhere in the CBD. So many great coffee shops, bars and restaurants within 3-4 minutes walk means they don’t need a restaurant in the hotel. The hotel staff do the little things well - offered us an umbrella as we were walking out and rain was expected, helped us take out a breakfast when we had an early flight to catch, free daily refills of the lollies and soft drinks in the room. Staff were just super friendly and helpful - but not in your face. Will definitely stay here again when we next have a weekend in Melbourne.

Not much really. If I was nitpicking the small sofa in the room was definitely more for looking at than sitting on, but overall it was just excellent.

The customer service at reception was exceptional. I have stayed in many hotels and this one surprised me, with not only the greeting and ease at the desk but the consideration to allow me early check in instead of leaving my bag, as the room was ready, gave a great start to my day. The free mini snacks and bar, evening drink, and continental breakfast - these were a surprise and could be marketed stronger and listed as inclusions. The location. The room decor. The discounted parking next door, in an easy to navigate carpark.

The hallway to the pool could have some tlc, however, it is winter!

Spacious room with modern appliances. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Lighting and security was good. The mini bar and snacks a nice little bonus!

I did not like the size of the shower at all. It was way too small, especially considering the size of the bathroom. You couldn't swing a cat in there. I'm only a small, short person and it was difficult for me to maneuver around, so I can't imagine what it would be like for a bigger person. The window look-out to the side alley into the open windows to the opposing building wasn't great either.

The rooms are good sized with plenty of room for two people and luggage. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet, could not hear noise from the street despite room being over Flinders Lane. Would recommend for location and comfort of room.

The rooms could do with a face lift, bathroom starting to look old and well-used, carpets worn etc. The room service options are very minimal, would recommend purchasing food/drinks elsewhere before settling in for the night or organise delivery if needed.

The property is easy to find amongst the surrounding buildings. The property had a quirky industrial vibe from the second you walk in and continues through the building. The room was well laid out with minimalist styling. The complimentary items in the bar and snack jar were well appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly, cheerful and welcoming on arrival and remained this way each time we left and returned throughout the afternoon and evening. Check out was simple and was done with a smile. Will definitely stay again.

The staff are superb. They're very friendly and often went above and beyond to help us during the stay. The hotel is generous with free snacks and drinks. We paid for the full breakfast in advance, and really enjoyed it. Location is amazing. We sat out by the pool a few times - the water was too cold to actually swim in but sunning ourselves on the roof with a cocktail was a pleasant way to spend some time.

Only a small issue, but the water temperature in the shower was very variable, going from hot to cold rapidly and often during a shower. Otherwise no complaints at all!

The Adelphi has a wonderful ambience. The cocktail bar on the 2nd floor was wonderful as was the rooftop bar area. I booked the delux king room and it was incredibly comfortable. Bed, linen all luxurious. Bathroom was dynamite. BUT the staff were the most outstanding. Headed by Ahmed every detail was taken care of. Incredibly attentive and professional. They went way above and beyond to make my birthday a spectacularly memorable one. Would highly recommend. Top class.

Loved the free and replaceable bar snacks! Amazing! The location is wonderful too…very close to everything you need. The barman (upstairs venue) was also absolutely wonderful, and could not have tried harder to please us!

There was really only one problem, which would need to be fixed….the showers were impossible to use-either too hot or too cold. The adjustment to get it right was way too fine, which is unfortunate in such a lovely hotel.
