Comfortable room with everything we needed for the night. The location was perfect for us given we were attending an event at Hamer Hall. Breakfast was lovely with a great range of options.

Unfortunately there are building works nearby so after a late night returning from our event we were woken at 7 with the all the noisy machines. Also other than where the cutlery was we were not told about where things like plates and salt and peppers were so spent a bit of time having to search for these things in the breakfast room.

Property was located in a great part of the city. Easy to walk Southbank. We were seeing Moulin Rouge and we were able to walk within about 15 minutes. Hotel was clean with fresh minimal decor. Parking was easy and close by.

Check in was slow and we waited in a line for at least 15 minutes. When we finally got to the check in, there was no acknowledgment of the excessive wait. We were then upsold breakfast for the next day at a discounted rate. The room was prepaid. Checkout I was left waiting while another guest pushed in front of me and my husband. The staff member did apologise for this. Overall the check in and check out left me really disappointed. It actually felt like staff were there to just do their job without showing much care to guests.

We love staying here when coming to Melbourne for a weekend away. It’s great value for money, the location is great and it’s comfortable. A short walk to Flinders Street Station or there’s a car park next door. We are a small family of one adult and 2 kids, so we usually get a Queen room and have the sofa bed made up for one of the kids.

There isn’t really anything we don’t like, so the only feedback I would give is that the bathroom was a little outdated, the tiles looked worn/dirty.

Enjoyed the gf/df breakfast options - coconut chia pudding, gf musli and different cooked/fresh fruit options, yum! Actually wished I'd asked for some of the recipes! The location was fantastic. We stayed with 5yr/8yr old children and found having a food court nearby, fed square and train station just across the bridge plus sealife and the Acmi/art galleries etc a short walk amazing.. oh and the skydeck is just next door too! Was very nice to find a room option of a twin with double beds instead of singles The black out curtains worked great for those of us running on different time zone body clocks too Thankyou for getting us into our room early at check in and also holding our suitcases for us after checkout so we could still explore before taking the train later on

*Would have been helpful if the desk staff trying to book us in for breakfast add ons knew what was being served, ended up paying more $ in the morning as they weren't able to tell me if anything was gf etc * the shower needs a good bleach! Mould in the silicon and stained grout is kinda gross and the kids found loads of long black hair under the table in our room..

Location was perfect and the self check in/ check out made it easy and efficient. We've stayed at this hotel many times and would definitely come back. Staff are friendly and always smiling.

Only one elevator was working making getting to and from the room take a bit longer especially at check out time when everyone was wanting to leave at the same time but understand this isnt generally the case and normally two working. The heating/ cooling hard to regulate to a comfortable temperature at times.

Great location and the room had everything we needed; comfortable bed, table & chairs and kitchenette. We (1 adult and 2 children) booked a ‘triple room’ and had a king bed and the fold out sofa was made up for us. Located close to the footbridge between Southgate at Southbank and Flinder’s Street station. 7-Eleven next door was handy too! We stayed here as we went to an event at AAMI park and walked back afterwards along the river. I will definitely stay again.

Bathroom was a bit outdated but it was fine. Some bowls in the kitchenette would’ve been good, we were only provided with plates. But we made do, and still loved our stay.

Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the bed was super comfortable! It had everything we needed and we liked having space on the bathroom bench to put toiletries and clothes while showering. The hotel lobby and reception area was nicely presented and modern, and the staff we met were very friendly and efficient. Parking in the adjoining Eureka car park was convenient. The hotel location is an easy walk to restaurants and the CBD and a pleasant walk along the Yarra River to Rod Laver Arena. We will have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

The location was amazing. SO close to everything and I felt safe there, even walking around in the dark. The station, Coles and Woolworths, the river, restaurants, trams all a 5 min walk. We could walk to all tourist spots or jump on a free tram to take us within the city limits. We loved Melbourne.

I would have like a t-towel and some washing up liquid, as we used the microwave for some meals. There were plates and cutlery but nothing to dry them with.

Location was great however the rooms could have been bigger - apart from that and going through booking.com I would definitely stay again but book directly through Mercure

Location was great however the rooms could have been bigger - we had a room for 4 people and there is no way 4 would have been able to stay in that room - luckily for us 2 people couldn't come however i still had to pay full price when i had some others in a room with one bed and they had more room and paid half what I did - was booked through booking.com and when I tried to change the booking 2 days prior was told I had to go through booking.com and not through Mercure so that was disappointing

The check in was really easy and staff very accommodating when we arrived early and they stored our luggage. The small cafe and bay is really nice.

The bathrooms need an update, our toilet role holder was hanging by a thread from the wall. Also we had the temp on 17 degrees and the room was warm . In the morning we went to make coffee and no milk which is not a big deal but when you are paying $480 a night for a family room, then you should not have to chase this up.
