Funky little hotel situated right in Southbank with bars, restaurants and other facilities all within walking distance. Great little bar downstairs where you could get breakfast, snacks and drinks, and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are excellent value for money - not huge but spotlessly clean and tidy and certainly more than enough for a short stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room didn't have a window (it did have a skylight). If we had been aware of that we would have asked for a room with a window - or to upgrade our room.

Our stay at The Ink Hotel was absolutely exceptional—10/10! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Will and Hannah, who made us feel like part of the family. Their hospitality was unmatched, and they went out of their way to ensure our furry baby Arthur felt just as at home. The hotel itself is stunning—modern, stylish, and impeccably clean. The room was spacious, cozy, and had all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to explore. The service was top-notch, and the attention to detail was evident throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend The Ink Hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic stay!

I loved everything!!!

I don't need a lot of space but your rooms use small spaces VERY efficiently. I love the quirkiness of the place. The room I was in was small but very comfortable, enabling me to also attend to work duties with the little office space. Shower was hot. Plenty of linen. Bar fridge provided to store snacks. Nice sized TV to relax with in downtime. The hotel is within walking distance of Southbank meaning access to plenty of sites and restaurants. The hotel is situated right on City Road but the rooms are very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast you can have on site is excellent.

The hit-and-miss nature of the air conditioning. My first night and the next day it was a little sweat box in the room and the only air circulating was from the fan mode on the monitor. However, this was rectified by the staff the next day as they had to completely reset it. You do have to pay a deposit upfront even if you have paid in full - so be aware of that. You get it back but sometimes that is an expense people don't expect. The hotel does not have small bottled water at all but very generously provides flasks that you can take to your room (water or sparkling water) which is excellent, the only issue is the flask does not fit in the fridge, other than that it is a brilliant idea.

The location is incredible ! On the side of the river where there are lots of things to see and to do, if you want more, there are lots of things also accessible by tram. Bed were very very comfy. And i loved how the bathrooms are made, super easy to use for couples. Cleaning is great in between nights when requested. Staff is very nice. The bar downstairs is great to have. Loving the art bits everywhere and the random bits the rooms.

It seems like a very old building that has not taken care of properly in the past mainly, but in the present too. Walls/ceiling are all cracked and paint is pealing. Showers do not have anything to keep the water from leaving it and get all the floors flooded beside it. When you get out of the shower, the bathmat is properly damp. The walls are all scratches and stained as if they havent been cleaned and painted in years and years.

One of the highlights of my Australian trip! A great hotel, very well located and perfect for business trips. The staff was very kind and the breakfast options, although not included, they are really tasty! The hotel has a very interesting system in which you get a free drink at the bar for every day you decide not to get your room cleaned (up to two per stay). I thought it was a very good way of promoting more environment-friendly actions.

You need to "log-in" to the WiFi every couple of days. A bit of a nuissance but not a big deal.

I liked how calm and peaceful the environment of the hotel was, the staff are very friendly and informative, the room was always cleaned each day and made me feel good knowing that the hotel wants it’s customers to feel at home and clean, and lastly the price for the room was excellent especially being around the city.

Only thing minor that i noticed was that a portion of the wall was smudged and scratched but it didn’t ruin my experience but i was just a bit scared because i didn’t know if they knew those marks were on the wall before i checked in the room.

The location was unmatched - could easily walk to the CBD where there was bars/ restaurants/ tram access (and did every where except to the airport) free drink voucher if you skipped a room turn down was a nice little bonus, also nice there’s a bar at the hotel and a clean and comfortable venue.

Room had a coffee machine but no pods provided to make a coffee which was a let down, we also didn’t have access to call reception on the phone as the phone was just dead so didn’t bother asking for the pods. The $100 deposit before checking in also caught me by surprise, would’ve been nice to know this prior time check in/ at time of booking.

Location was excellent for reaching the arts district and the yarra. The hotel is next door to great breakfast and coffee options. The vibe of the hotel is very relaxed, no judgement. Rooms were clean and comfortable bed! We also got an early checkin for a small fee which was a big win after getting up so early for our flight.

I couldn't connect to the free wifi but it was of not consequence. The room we had was the smallest option but it was as expected so no complaints.

The location is great for the price. The staff are fantastic so down to earth and pleasant and real, good service, but not over the top like Americans or asians, just decent Australian way.

Although I had VPN and security, on my own equipment, when I logged into your TV my google chrome password was stolen (I know this because I received an email from the hacker telling me the password) so I’d probably want a warning on the TV that people can see before they use it as a smart TV. It’s been a good lesson to me for future to not use smart TVs in hotels.

Perfect location for Crown and very close to the river which was great. Very comfy beds, very quiet

Our room looked absolutely nothing like what we booked, almost felt like we were downgraded. The room we received was very dark, extremely cramped and was half the size of what was pictured. Upon inspection of their website, what we booked was meant to be the second best room on offer and that was definitely not what we received.
