We stayed here for three nights. The location is great and close to tram stops, Shops and restaurants. On check-in, the Concierge was very friendly and helpful as were all staff each time we were in the foyer. We stayed in the King Deluxe 1 bedroom suite with river view on the 12th floor and the view did not disappoint. The room had a great layout and a washing machine/Dryer (one reason for choosing this accommodation). Nice big TV. The King bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was worried at first thinking being so close to the train line that we wouldn't be able to sleep but the windows were double glazed so as well as being warmer, it seemed to also block out a lot of the noise. The blinds were blackout blinds and were great. Now the bathroom.... the water pressure was absolutely fantastic. Can honestly say this had been the best shower pressure in any accommodation that I have stayed in, that is saying a lot as I'm in Melbourne at least once a year for shopping, concerts. The building overall was nice and quiet.

Only a minor for me and that's the washing machine/Dryer in one combo....takes a long time to complete a full cycle. Would this stop me from staying in the future? Absolutely not. This may be one place I will keep on the accommodation list.

The view was amazing. The beds were as comfortable as they get. The shower temperature and pressure was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location and on site parking was very convenient. The rooms were clean and well set out. The black out curtains and the safety lock on the door to the balcony were appreciated. Coffee at the cafe was perfect.

So that our toddler could have a bath I booked a One-Bedroom Suite with River View as it stated it had a bath. The photo of the bathroom also showed a bath. Upon arrival I was told I should have asked for a bath in the special request section. There were no rooms available with a bath so we were offered a bottle of wine instead. The intercom for the car park was also very frustrating as the staff could never properly hear/understand us so there was lots of back and forth and waiting at the gate.

What a convenient location, close to both Southern Cross and Flinders St Stations and with the CBD shops, Southbank venues and Crown a short walk away. Our Riverview Room was bright and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the view across the river from our balcony, specially with the ‘Crown flames’ each hour! We were so pleased the Williams Restaurant was open and we enjoyed absolutely delicious breakfasts on both mornings as well as an awesome dinner. Every staff member we engaged with (both in the hotel and restaurant) was cheerful, welcoming and eager to help in any way. We’ve stayed several times now and we will be back again!

Everything was perfect

Located on the edge of the main city close to Docklands, the Yarra River, the historic Flinders Street Station, and within the free tram zone, so the location is very good. We received a complimentary upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom apartment that had a spacious kitchen, living area and bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and contained not only the expected amenities but also a full sized fridge/freezer, oven and washing machine. The bathroom was on the small side and the shower quite compact, but hot water supply and pressure was good. The apartment was quiet but, although we were on the 13th floor, did not have a view beyond the surrounding buildings. The hotel staff were very friendly and informative in providing a map and orientation of the city as well as indicating where the nearest food stores were and how the tram system worked. They also helped with arranging our early morning transport back to the airport. The hotel is older style but clean and comfortable nonetheless, made more comfortable by the helpful and friendly staff. The room was serviced to a high standard and amenities replenished regularly. A 24 hour front desk and card key security on the lifts made the hotel feel safe.

Great location for NYE, we had front row seats from balcony for fireworks. Close to public transport. Exceptionally clean.

I advised reception that the room heater in 8042 was not working, a maintenance man came up and then a manger. The manager insisted that the heater was working despite the sign in the wall advising “both” wall units must be turned on, and only one was working. We aren’t used to the cold and just wanted to warm to room to go to sleep. He blamed the fact that we had had the balcony doors open (briefly) for being cold. I was made to feel silly, so didn’t report the issue again. There were no extra blankets in the cupboard but a king size doona, so we pushed the single beds together and used the doona.

I had an amazing view of the city from my hotel room could see Crown Casino and a few other buildings light up the night. Fantastic location and room as well. The staff where also very friendly to chat to and where very welcoming.

While the room was lovely, I did have a bit of a struggle with the bed as I myself couldn't get comfy or get much sleep. This maybe just from my own experience and will vary for others but I wasn't able to get a lot of comfortable sleep during my time. They did have extra blankets for people to use, I thought I would be fine especially since I was only staying for a few nights.

We were warmly greeted by the staff on reception when we arrived late at night and throughout our stay all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with plenty of room for our bags. We came via the Skybus and it's a good 10 min walk to Central Station. We found it was easy to walk into the city for shopping/eating and across the river to the bars/restaurants on the riverside.

The bathroom was very small and the basin was actually outside the bathroom in the main room area. It was in a small space so we didn't have anywhere to put our toiletries next to the basin. It was a bit odd.

I booked on short notice, got a room with a good discount which they upgraded to an even better room free of charge. Checking in with Neil and Elvie was absolutely delightful and they were very welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help me. My overall experience at the hotel was amazing too, the bar was really nice. The room was absolutely fantastic, clean, with so many facilities. Even a washing machine and dryer. It was pure luxury at a bargain price. My only regret was I only had time to stay in Melbourne for one night. But next time I do come back this hotel will be my 1st consideration, as it has better facilities and more comfortable rooms then other places I stayed, but also the staff are really next level in terms of their dedication too. Really grateful for how nice my stay was. The hotel is also in a very convenient location with lots of public transport options and tourist attractions close by.

There is nothing at all I didn't like. The stay was perfect.

Arnie and Michael, the Stars at Reception, deserve more than 5 Stars for Service! Afternoon shift's Neil and the girls were outstanding. They are welcoming, accommodating and fulfill any additional request with a smile. The room was great as well - impeccably clean, bright and comfortable (beds and other utilities). The on-site parking rate is extremely reasonable for this central location. The Restaurant on premises has a varied and quality menu, fitting Melbourne's reputation for good food. Looking forward to the Arnie, Michael and the team vibe next time we are in Melbourne 😀 We are spreading the word about this great hotel to our family and friends.

A perfect location to head across the river to the attractions and cafe/restaurants at Southbank. Great views from our balcony. Tram stops were all within a block’s walk in any direction. Great selection of breakfast items - hot or cold food and drinks. Very friendly reception staff.

Due to maintenance, there was only one lift operating which required some queuing in the foyer. Not a criticism as maintenance issues can arise at any time, simply an observation and comment. It was quite noisy from the multiple train lines between the building and the river. This made it uncomfortable to stand out on the balcony and so we kept the sliding doors closed. Breakfast kitchen staff were a little slow (it was not busy) and we had to ask 2-3 times for our poached eggs.
