Fab location. Chosen for the proximity to the Taylor Swift concert at the MCG. Kind of pricy because we were barely there. Prob should have just got a hotel room. Didn’t need kitchen and laundry facilities. It was very quiet - the quietest room I have ever had in Melbourne. Great restaurant below. Really close to crown casino and restaurants. Easy walk to flinders and shopping. Or to arts precinct and then down to the tram to st Kilda if you want the beach or shopping at Chapel st. Rollaway bed provided at $50 extra a night. It was set up and comfy. So $370 a night for a mum and 2 daughters.

Given a room. Wrong room and key. It was super busy at check in and the reception team were really pleasant and friendly so only a little mistake. Given a room on the first floor so pretty dark and no view. But hey we weren’t there much. They happily store your luggage which is great.

Nice sized apartment with small balcony. Comfy bed. Good location for Southbank. USB ports. Towels/toiletries/tea & coffee replenished daily if required. Large 'living' area. Secure luggage storage. We took advantage of the extra hour allowed for check out.

We arrived well before check-in time & were told room may be ready before & that we would get a call/text if that was the case. We received no call/text, but when we went to check in the room was ready & maybe had been ready for some time. We'd have appreciated getting the room earlier, we'd been travelling nearly 30 hours.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was great. The apartment is very spacious in the bedroom and the main area. We had our almost 2-year-old with us and it was plenty of room for a cot next to the bed without being squashed. Bathroom was very big too and a washer and dryer were in there which was great. Location wasn't too bad about a 13 minute walk to Southbank area. At least it was a quiet street. Right near the art centre. When you add breakfast it's actually at the cafe next door which is handy and was very nice the next morning. We only stayed overnight but we would definitely be back.

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment which included an extra roll away bed (which was needed) for no extra charge! Very spacious living/dining area and large kitchen which was great for 5 people.

The ensuite bathroom was quite small & the shower leaked water all over the floor every time someone had a shower. So much so that it had already rotted the bottom of the cupboard and would pool all out around the toilet as well. Very poor & needs fixing properly, not just a patch-up of the bottom of the cupboard (which looks like has already happened once or twice).

We were welcomed by a friendly reception staff member. We had a one bedroom executive apartment on the 7th floor with a view of the city which was beautiful when it lit up at night. The living room was very comfortable with a desk, couch, arm chair, table and 3 dining chairs and small balcony. The kitchen was well equipped . Our bedroom was quite large with a very comfortable bed. Our bathroom was also large, and had a bath with shower over it , toilet, washing machine and dryer. Apartment was bright and decorated with nice art work. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and happy to oblige with any request. Location was ideal for train station, Southbank restaurants, DFO, Aquarium, stadiums and trams . We took a tram to Docklands to visit Artvo, which is a must.

Happy with everything

We got a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment. - staff were lovely and accomodating. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, pillows were great too! I always bring my own pillow with me to hotels but I didn’t need it! I had the best sleep of my life. Super clean apartment that had everything we needed for our stay. Really close to Rod Laver Arena which I was attending a concert at. Easy to get an Uber from the hotel or just a short walk to trams.

Car park is quite hard to park larger cars, our van only just fit.

Quest Southbank was a nice place to stay the apartment was very clean and included a laundry. The receptionist who checked us in was fabulous, she helped us when the aircon wasn't working and the hot water also was not working well. There is no restaurant at the hotel but there is a very nice cafe next door for breakfast/lunch and sometimes dinner. The cafe is not open on Sundays. The tram is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

The beds at Quest Southbank were very hard, all 3 people in our group thought so. It was also quite noisy, loud cars, people yelling and car horns would often go on late into the evening. So if you are staying at Quest Southbank take earplugs. The hot water is never really hot, not sure why.

The location of the hotel was great, it was only a few minutes walk to the Melbourne Recital Centre where I was going to see a concert. My room was great, good size for one person and the bed was comfortable.

I know it couldn't be helped but the construction site opposite the hotel (don't know if it was being built or torn down) but it was noisy. Hopefully the next time I come down it will be finished. I also didn't want to leave as I was enjoying being in Melbourne.

All in all this is a great place to stay in Melbourne with an excellent central location and a superb coffee shop next door for breakfast. The Quest South Bank is a tower block of apartments available for short term rental. We stayed three nights and appreciated the good access to Melbourne’s central business district which was only a few minutes’ walk away. The reception desk is only available from 7am to 11pm but you can contact reception out of hours by ringing a phone number indicated on a notice. Our apartment was delightful with a good view over Melbourne’s skyscrapers and even a small balcony! There was a separate bedroom with a comfortable double bed and good storage space, a bathroom and toilet with a bath and shower and an open living area which served as a kitchen lounge diner. Everything you wanted was available including an iron, ironing board, kettle, fridge, hair dryer, air conditioning, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Our tumble dryer had a technical fault and was not working. The reception desk offered to dry our clothes for us at no cost! However it was expensive. We stayed in March and paid over £130 pounds per night. But I could not find anything else in Melbourne that was central and more sensibly priced!

Although the car park is quite tight to manoeuvre for large vehicles, and Quest allocated car parking spaces seemed to be randomly scattered throughout the car park, I did eventually find somewhere to put my car each evening. But the hotel does make a charge for this.

It was a great apartment, very spacious, nice kitchen and balcony. Beds were very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. I really liked that the room was very quiet and couldn't hear people in the hallway closing doors etc.

The heater didn't work very well - we ended up turning it off. I also found it strange that the ensuite was given to the room with 2 seperate beds (the kids room) and adults room, with the double bed, had to walk a long way to get to the bathroom. I would have preferred the ensuite to be in the adults bedroom.
