Excellent rental apartment for a short term stay in Melbourne. Location is very central and within walking distance to all major sights and the free tram route. Apartment was well-equipped with everything you could need. Myself and my partner booked a one bedroom apartment but upon check in were upgraded to a duplex suite, which has two floors - bedrooms downstairs in two rooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. Lots of storage space (wardrobes, bedsides), and a desk in the single beds room. Plenty of plug sockets. Extra bedding provided in case cold. Bathroom was downstairs with great shower and also had a washer/dryer (need own washing powder), and clothes horse. Basic hotel toiletries/towels provided. Upstairs was open plan living space with a balcony. There was a dishwasher, TV, kitchen was well stocked for cooking, fridge and freezer. Heating was with heat pump/air conditioner unit. Everything in the room was clean and felt/looked new, modern and stylish. We were met upon check in by David who was pleasant and handed over keys and gave directions to our room. On site pool and gym were also available to use, open from 6am - 10pm I think. Didn't use the gym but looked quite small but well equipped with all the usual. Gym was always full/busy with residents. Myself and my partner both used the pool daily for swimming laps, bright, open and nice temperature, there are changing rooms, showers and lockers at the poolside. Pool was always quiet unlike the gym. Pool looks like in the photos. The apartments are in a residental building/village, so there are people living there but didn't make any difference to us. Balcony overlooked city skyscrapers and towards Docklands area. Small Asian supermarket next door on the ground floor. 2GB of WiFi is provided, no trouble using that, but if you have your own SIM data you can use that, I could access 4G from the apartment. Fast and big elevators to the floors. Would stay again!

When I booked, the photos provided did not accurately reflect the rooms. The room was much smaller than it looked in the photos and I was a bit shocked by the size. However, the style/aesthetic of the room was as shown in the photos. (Since I stayed I can see they have uploaded new photos so this problem is perhaps fixed as the photos do look like the room I stayed in). More information provided at check in would have been appreciated e.g. facilities, room amenities, WiFi, etc. We had to ask for this information. Also directions were not clear and we got lost on the way to the rooms due to strange building layout and inadequate signage. It is a new listing so maybe they are still learning about running the business so perhaps all these issues will be resolved soon!

The apartment was beautiful. It was clean, well laid out, and a fabulous view. Location is good and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The unit had everything we needed in the way of fridge, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and cooking. Bathrooms were excellent and did I mention the view! It was stunning to walk into.

The beds were very uncomfortable. They were hard and lumpy and made sleep rather difficult. The pillows were even worse. They were flat and I suspect very cheap and not suitable for an accommodation of this standard. I stayed in one bedroom and my adult daughter in the other, and she said the same thing. The other disappointment was the lounge - while pretty to look at, it was very uncomfortable and impractical. There was no way you could relax and lounge in front of the TV after an exhausting day sight seeing.

I had read that the beds weren’t comfortable on previous reviews but that was not the case when I stayed. The beds were so comfortable I took a pic of the main bedroom one to see if I could buy a similar one for home. The location for us was great and it was really comfy. Steepish stairs to downstairs but that didn’t bother us. Everything you need was there in a stylish package. Finding your room would be tricky had we not been guided there by the helpful reception person. We searched for the pool and gym ourselves which we eventually found as a bit of a rabbit warren. However it was worth the journey as the facilities were beautiful

The only thing was a late checkout request when I arrived didn’t get answered until 9ish am the next day which was far too late. Apparently the person that looks after the bookings wasn’t there and the other person on reception could not answer the request. We had to wait for David to be in attendance. I send a message too through here but got no reply.

The location is close to all mode of transportation, easy to locate, the apartment is clean, aesthetic, comfortable, cooking and heating is good. Water pressure is great. All appliances needed were provided except an Iron. Or maybe I didn't check properly..Over all it is great value for money

When we arrived, we rang the intercom and dialled for the consierge but no one came, until a guests opened the sliding door with their key and we followed them inside. The main reception was not manned, then we wanted till I rang a numbervand someone came out from another office . Many people were sitting and waiting and didn't realise there were two reception.

Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were nice and modern, enjoyed having own fridge toaster ect. Staff were so lovely and helpful.

Only minor things that needed improvement.The cot we ordered through the property didn’t fit in either of the rooms, the hot water in the kitchen was intermittent, our blinds were broken and the air conditioning is only in one of the rooms so the second room got quite warm on the hotter days. The cupboard doors in the bedroom don’t shut so we had the modem lights beaming all night. For a corner room that cops the sun all day it should have block out blinds like the room next door has. We really enjoyed our stay though

First I like how it was close to the fireworks display during New Year and convenient to public transport, buses, trams and trains and because of that we were able to visit the aquarium, the zoo, kids entertainment facilities, times zones, ice skating, the kids had a blast they enjoyed every moment. Food wasn't a problem there was a convenient store right next us and Coles was just 2 streets down towards the city. It was a memorable experience for us.

The fact that some maintenance was needed some blinds were damaged scratches on the wall, just concerning who will be responsible.

Nothing at all. Guests previously complained of the noise of the trains, we didn't have any problems with this. If you leave your window open you can hear them but nothing major. I suppose having grown up living near a railway, the trains weren't a problem for me. The views are over the railway line.

There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay at Lumina Suites Melbourne. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable environment. The facilities were great, and everything was organised to ensure a smooth experience. On top of that, the service—especially from Aeham Khan—was outstanding. Quite simply the most spectacular room we have ever had for a city break. Our well appointed room was located on the 14th floor and the floor to ceiling wrap around windows provided breath taking vistas of the CBD from the kitchen, living area, bedroom and balcony. Extremely convenient location, five minutes walk from La Trobe/Spencer St tram stop (within the CBD free tram zone) and ten minutes walk from airport buses and Metro, VLine and inter state trains at Spencer Street station. Excellent, well-equipped gym and and huge heated swimming pool, as well as a large, private and quiet roof top garden area. Reception staff were helpful and extremely accommodating, allowing us to park for free for one hour in the underground car park to unload before returning our car to the nearby hire company.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Location was great just a short stroll from Southern Cross station up Spencer St where there's plenty of shops, eateries and even a outlet for discounted branded goods. Under 10 mins walk from Flagstaff Gardens and Queen Victoria Markets. There was a tram stop not far that you could take as well from Spencer St into town. Check in was seamless and we were given an extended one hour check out without extra charge. The apartment was spotless and well appointed. There was a gym and pool onsite with 24 hour concierge. The apartment was cosy

We were situated in the west side of the building so the noise from the trams, trains and road can be heard as the apartment is not completely soundproof. So if you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.
