It’s position

Disappointing that they advertise having a stove, but there were no kitchen utensils to use to cook with, plus the fridge was tiny , no room to put much at all especially being near the Victoria market we were going to buy some nice foodstuffs to bring home but couldn’t, plus not even a freezer in it and no ice to add to a drink .

We have stayed here 3 times now. Disappointed that we weren't informed then buffet breakfast wouldn't be available. Also don't recommend ordering from downstairs Cafe. My Family & I ordered toasties & mozzarella sticks for a quick lunch. We waited almost 30mins for our toasties, my husband, my son & I had finished them & our Daughters mozzarella sticks were forgotten. Then they still charged me for them & ended up delivering them to our room 45mins later!? Not good enough. Honestly the last time we stayed the food took FOREVER as well.

Wonderful location looking out onto the Flagstaff gardens. Right on Free City Circle Tram line. Our apartment was a decent size, air-conditioning worked well as it was a quite hot spell. Good little kitchen with the bare minimum in cutlery and crockery. Bathroom quite large, shower was excellent.

Bed was quite soft for our liking and the bedroom very cramped with about a foot of space between the foot of the bed and the wall. Mostly clean but could be better, ie. dusty around the bottoms of chairs, table, coffee table. Would have been nice to have a four person setting of dishes, only having two made it awkward. Door required a sharp pull to lock, which was fine except we came back to the apartment after it had been serviced to fine the door not latched.

Very nice room with full kitchenette. Although we didn't get to experience it it was lovely that there were live jazz sessions on the weekends, we did watch the recorded sessions on the dedicated TV channel and want to go back on a weekend getaway so we can experience it. Also, loved the Jazz decor in the room. The bonus was the double AC in both the living area as well as the bedroom area. It was very helpful that you could close the doors to the bedroom, the set up of the room was excellent! It was convenient that they provided a parking spot (for a fee).

We asked for a port-a-cot which means that there will be a child in the room with the adults who'd require towels like the adults but these were not provided with the cot although we paid extra. When I asked the staff at reception they gave them to me on the spot but I didn't appreciate the fact that I needed to go down and pick them up after a long day of travel. I wish they were a little more thoughtful. We hated the lifts! There are so many card readers and it gets real confusing. I saw a young woman quite distressed that she wasn't able to work it out and felt stupid - I understood completely. That could definitely be improved. Also, I think the parking fees were a bit too steep and could have been more reasonable.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to Sahan for arranging an early check-in and giving us a room with stunning views of Flagstaff Gardens and the city—truly picturesque! Angeli was also amazing, allowing us a late check-out to accommodate our baby’s needs. The customer service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to consider our requests. The hotel's location is another highlight. Being close to Melbourne's free tram zone made it super convenient to explore the CBD without any hassle. This feature added great value to our stay! Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended for its excellent service, beautiful location, and family-friendly approach!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location being very close to trams, trains and buses. Good views from balcony over the park. Good breakfast. Luxurious new carpets in passageways.

The lifts were rather confusing but they were quick. It was also confusing with Oaks Hotel being in the same building complex. Surprised that we didn't get a free invite or discount to a jazz session downstairs (stayed 6 nights). Monotonous and quite loud jazz music playing constantly at breakfast. Although toiletries are provided, there was no bars of soap or liquid soap by the hand basin in the rooms.

The hotel was exceptional, couldn't have asked for a better room 5 star everything you could want .The view from our top floor balcony was utterly breath taking especially at night.

The only negative from our stay was the breakfast,very poor to say the least,paid for continental, Al a carte only to be told after we had eaten that we had to pay for cooked breakfast,only one member of staff cooking and the breakfast room was packed so had to wait ages.Not much on offer for the continental just cereal and a few pastries no cheese or eggs was really bad selection,so only book the room and eat breakfast elsewhere.

The room is spacious with breathtaking view from the large balcony. It has all the substantials for our 4-night stay including the kitchen, washing and drying machine. The bed was comfy and a large sofa convenient enough to sleep also available. We needed to extend 1 more night due to our flight schedule change and the staff has been friendly enough to attend our request to keep our room. Location wise is still accessible via Free Tram Zone though it is on the edge.

When we checked in, we noted that the washing machine door was tampered. Seems like it was broken and was fixed in a way with power glue. We did not make any complaints nor report as it was still working fine. Though the hotel did try to call me when I was already back to my home country to clarify the matter. Suggest the guest to check and report during check in for any unusual you find in your room.

High floor , great view , clean property. Breakfast included in stay though we didn’t use it. Location great and has its own restaurant. Smart tv in living room and one of the bedrooms. Nice decor in rooms. Comfortable beds. Would stay again

Was charged $40 to check in 2 hrs early even through the apartment was ready and empty and I paid for 4 nights. Wasnt offered to leave our luggage for a few hours instead which we would have done. Staff at reception not very friendly especially at check in. Woman didn’t seem too happy to be there. I had to ask basic questions such as where to go for breakfast which was included. Had to ask reception for things like toilet paper as not enough in room for the stay , our rate had no housekeeping but basic supplies like garbage bags etc we’re not provided. There was no handwash in the bathrooms. Basically could have stocked the apartment with basics that have to be included. Not waiting for us to ask for them.

I returned to the Jazz Corner Hotel as I had stayed there before. It is ideally located within easy walking distance to shopping, Victoria Markets, the arts precinct, excellent restaurants & bars and Melbourne attractions. The room had a park view and balcony and a view of the Bolte Bridge. And yet the room was soundproofed so slumber was easy with no city traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and the room facilities included a full kitchen, coffe machine and laundry facilities. An excellent feature was the flexibility (for a fee) to extend my check out time to 5pm. Other hotels could take a lesson from this!
