Stayed here for New Years in Salzburg. Good location for exploring the city. Several grocery shops nearby. Very good communication from staff ahead of the stay - clear instructions on how to get the keys and finding the room when arriving after the reception is closed. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Big parking area.

There was no table in the room (only the small ottoman-thingy) and just one wardrobe - could do with more space to put things on, especially since the room was so big, so additional furniture could fit without problem. Showering in a bathtub without any shower curtains.

An amazing place to stay for exploring Salzburg and its surroundings. The accommodation is comfortable, spotlessly clean, and offers stunning mountain views. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they were well maintained and always available when I needed them. On some days, I did a 30-minute walk to Salzburg’s center, while on others, I used a bus ride. There are also some nice local bakeries nearby that are worth visiting. Given the typically high cost of accommodation in Salzburg, this place is an excellent deal for its quality service, convenient location, and the added privacy of having your own room. Highly recommended!

I was really excited when I booked this place and when I arrived there everything was perfect. The food is amazing and the owner is one of the most kind and helpful person I’ve ever met. I love the bikes for free and the view from the hotel. When I arrived I saw a perfect sunset while I was having dinner. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The toilets are always clean and with beautiful details. I love this place and I can’t even describe how amazing was my experience being there. Riding from the hotel to any place in Salzburg was one of the best experiences of my whole trip! Thanks for making me so happy while I was staying there.

The property is perfect.

Very clean, sizeable and well serviced room with ensuite. We stayed 3 nights and walked 30mins along the river to Salzburgs sights. Efficient and friendly welcome by young man with moustache. One of the main reasons for booking this accomodation was the free parking which was great and being on the south side made day trips to Hallein salt mine and Berchesgarten easy.

During our stay we encountered unreliable wifi which meant we ate out at spots with wifi so we could plan our days therefore we didn't get to dine in the nice outdoor eating area, otherwise a great stay.

The location of the boutique hotel is right by the Salzach river, and there are mountains both in front and behind: it could not be more idyllic. The room was very comfortable, with ample wardrobe space, writing-desk, wash-basin and thickly mattressed bed. The restaurant could be accessed easily from my room in the morning and the breakfast was beautifully presented and was in the continental style. Lukas, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming and even allowed me to practise my singing in a spare dining room! I had lunch and dinner in the restaurant on Saturday and the food was absolutely wonderful with classic Austrian dishes and excellent Stein beer. All of this made my first visit to Salzburg extra-special.

Coffee at breakfast is generally from a machine, but if requested, filter coffee can be provided.

Nice restaurant/hotel on the banks of the river. Great value, stayed in a single room with shared (separate) toilet and shower room, much cheaper and saw nobody else using the shared amenities whilst there. Apparently 3 of the 7 rooms on a half-landing share, as the others have their own bathrooms. Free bikes to cycle along the wide cycle paths, I went running instead. 2 miles into town, but nice walk or bike ride. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but was packed with well-dressed locals both nights so is evidently a destination for food. Had a couple of beers sitting outside in their beer garden area. Staff pleasant. Oh yes, and 50 minute walk away from town to parkrun if you’re there on a Saturday morning.

No negatives

Ueberfuhr was just the perfect stay for us, looking for an affordable accommodation within reach to the city centre. The best feature is that you can use the bicycles of the hotel (they have many) and with it, you can cycle to the centre in 10-15 minutes. We didn't eat at the place, but it has a nice restaurant and a garden to sit out. Very nice and quiet experience along the river. Our room was also beautiful and comfortable. I can only highly recommend to stay at Boutique-Gasthof Ueberfuhr!

Nothing in mind!

This place is perfect for those who love the mountains and the wild nature but need to be in the city. You can walk, like 20-25 minutes from the city center along the river enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains and the Castle, or take the bus. It looked safe by late in the evening. They have one of the most comfy beds, with a room smoking-free in reality, no dust, so strange smells, friendly. I loved that they are sustainable not by words, but by facts, Even outside it was snowing, inside was warm and I felt welcome.

Very nice room, spotless bathroom. Very quiet, 15 min by bike to downtown. Free bikes.

Communication via booking needs to be improved: more specific and professional. Was worried I could not check in late, and the staff did not answer my emails and phone call neither booking. Wrong information to come by public transportation from the train station was given to me. I understand staff, one person ! has to manage everything but still, it could be nice to reassure customers when they are worried.

This was such a cute and cozy little bed and breakfast. I had a small attic room with a shared bathroom, but the bathroom was always available and very clean, and my room was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, and the location is pretty good. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city center, but I stayed in the winter, so it was sometimes a bit too cold for that. However the public transportation was very simple to use.
