We enjoyed a king size room on the 6th floor. The views were wonderful. The bed, bathroom and room size were all very comfortable. The hotel was across the road from our early morning tour so that was very convenient. There are shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is right next to the large shopping carpark and this is where the free parking is provided. The breakfast was extensive.

We did leave the window open at night so being on the edge of a public carpark there was some noise but this was a small trade off for the convenience of the location.

The location, check-in, cleanliness and breakfast were good.

We were not aware there there was no a/c in the high rise; hot until evening cool off. Fan provided was not sufficient. No microwave; no night light; no money exchange assistance; no laundry facilities; no rack for personal bathroom essentials. We were not allowed to sit in their inside patio without being a paying customer. We also could not bring takeout food and drink on the patio to consume. There was only one coffee pack for two people in the room.

Breakfast was simple but there was plenty of choice - eggs, toast waffles cereals, yoghurt etc plus fresh fruit to take away. The dining room was bright and bubbly and the staff on duty went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. I was impressed.

We only stayed one night so have not a lengthy stay to comment on. Reception were great and welcoming both on arrival and departure. We used the lobby couches while we waited to be picked up for our tour. Nothing at all to complain about.

Breakfast was of below average offering: * No Capsule style coffee - just filtered * Cooked offering - just two heated items - Over cooked and split scrambled eggs - Sausage (unknown type, no labelling ) - No bacon, No Hash, No Beans. * Bread for toast was presented in a plastic bag - with a plastic tong to recover. Only two offerings - white or brown (?). The toaster was a pop-up type, domestic model - no higher specification commercial model available - so multiple people standing around waiting to use the toaster. No 'continental breakfast' style offering - cheese, cured meats, dried fruit.

The property is nice, clean and presentable.

We thought that their soaps and shampoos were complimentary and took those with us. They told us to give those back as they are not complimentary at checkout. We did so immediately. However, they saw that we left our dogs’ water bowls but didn’t let us know and we had to ask. They had the bowls the whole time and we had to come back for it.

Location was fabulous as we were booked to do Homalco Grizzly Bear trip and boat left right opposite our hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were excellent.

Only complaint was dining room was closed on Sunday night but there was no notification of this anywhere in hotel. We had been on 8 hour tour and went down to eat to find it all in darkness. Front desk apologised and said there were no staff. Ok reason of course but a notice would have been appropriate as we were not the only ones left in this position.

The room, staff, breakfast , parking and location were all prefect for our needs.

I purposely called ahead to check on availability of the hot tub and was assured that it was in working order only to arrive and be told that it was "under maintenance". I had told my daughter and grandchildren to bring their bathing suits so that we could have a nice leisurely soak How disappointing for all of us! IIt would have been much kinder to be told in advance.

I arrived via the coastal highway and left via the island highway. The hotel was easily accessed from both. It was right in the heart of downtown Campbell River. The hot tub was very welcome after a long drive from Victoria.

The in-house restaurant was closed on my Saturday evening there and I would like to have eaten in it.

I liked the location. Easy access to the park,marina and restaurants. Hotel appearance is very presentable from the outside and much more inside. Staffs were great specially those who were in the dining area during free breakfast.

I dont know if it was only on our room,but in a very hot July,we expect to have an airconditioned room when we get to the hotel, we didnt have one. What we got was a dyson fan which wasn’t enough. The very reason i didnt gave an all excellent rating.

Breakfast hospitality was excellent. Selection was adequate but no hash browns with eggs, and sausage was the only breakfast meat offered during our four days. But the layout was excellent and staff did not leave dirty tables. Courtyard lounge service was very genial and attentive.

We were hoping for a pool. There was no air conditioning and our nights required open windows. But the sea air was wonderful.
