What the hotel doesn't tell you is that each room's hvac (fan heater/cooler) system is as old as the hotel (built 2004). Notably noisy, interrupts sleep as the system turns on & off to regulate temperature. Sounds like you are sleeping next to a ships engine room. So the hotel has retrofitted electric fireplaces in some rooms to provide a quiet heating option. If you stay in the winter, get a room with a fireplace. If you go in the heat of summer when ac will be needed. don't go. Pity. It's the only thing not right about the place.

We stayed in 7 rooms and all were clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and we got $10 discount/room for food at the restaurant upon check-in, so that was a plus. The pool and the gym, though small in size, were well equipped and met our needs. Staff had been extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from booking taxis to accommodating with our changes and last minute adjustment. Location was hard to beat, right between Robson and W Georgia, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, not to mention that it is right next to Medina, a popular brunch cafe.

"Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Vancouver!" From the moment I checked in, I received excellent and attentive service that made me feel genuinely special. The hotel’s location in central Vancouver was perfect, allowing easy access to many of the city’s top attractions. One of the highlights was the steam room in the men’s change room—it ran perfectly hot, which was exactly what I needed after a day of exploring. The outdoor pool and hot tub were fantastic bonuses, especially for a relaxing evening unwind. My room was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat, with delicious crepes that quickly became a morning favorite. And for a nightcap, the lounge serves an incredible Caesar cocktail. A+ all around—I would definitely stay here again!

Well located and easy transit by Canada line, bus or sky train. The facility was very clean and good customer service from the staff. The breakfast was cold when we got it though.

Was sent to a already occupied suite and luckily the guest was not in the room at the time. Then I was directed to another suite, which was really nice until I realized the heater was broken as it was pumping heat no stop. Third one was a charm, so we packed up and moved to the third suite, less desirable than the first and second units, nevertheless, it worked.

The room was great, clean, and comfortable, liked the fireplace that was cool. Location was perfect and easy to get everywhere I needed to go. Liked that they had bikes too, they were handy for short trips around the city and when you are on foot it is great to be a bit more mobile.

While the staff were all really nice they didn't have much of a clue about what happens in Vancouver. I wanted to take a shuttle bus up to Whistler one day so I asked at the front desk about the best one to get. I was told there was no bus to Whistler, so I went to my room googled it and found what I wanted and booked. Not sure if it was the best one or not but it did the job. But really this is a super small gripe, I'd definitely stay there again, the team were great they just need to do a bit more homework.

I booked a room but was upgraded to a suite and after 4 nights on the train from Toronto it was a wonderful surprise. The bed was comfy and the room peaceful and I had a good night's sleep. Everyone was very helpful and informative. The facilities were excellent It was possible to walk to the Waterfront and central for sightseeing and only a short taxi from the station. I ate lunch and the food and service were very good. My burger was cooked medium rare just as I like it. I didn't have breakfast as I was leaving early for the train. I would definitely go back when next in Vancouver with or without an upgrade. I was disappointed I didn't have time to check out the pool and sauna.

Absolutely a hidden Gem, could not fault the staffs care, attention and friendliness (particularly Julian), it was just how a Hotel was to suppose to be, do you remember, before they went to self serve no service! Loved it, pool, spa, onsite restaurant, stones throw from all Vancouver has to offer. Won't consider others now!

There was nothing to comment about here, simply had no issues for our stay.

Room was very quiet. Bathroom was exceptional. Clean, well lit. Loved the private toilet area to the side of the bathroom but inside the room. Ability to chromecast from our phone to the TV. Great Idea. The electric fireplace was cool to see and use.

The heating cooling unit in the ceiling was excessively load turning on in the middle of the night. Figured out to heat the room before sleeping. Turn off the heating on the thermostat. Only run the fireplace at night. Only problem, lights from fireplace are kind of bright for sleeping

We loved everything about L'Hermitage and its excellent facilities. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The gym was great - loved the pool and the hot tub. Exceptional professional and discreet room service daily. Restaurant staff and food - excellent! Front desk staff were lovely: very efficient and very friendly, their service was exceptional. A great place to stay in super comfort and class.

Wonderful boutique hotel with well-appointed bathroom. Well situated- IGA grocery store at corner - easy walk to Lookout Tower, Gastown, Sun Yat Sen garden- all worth seeing!!....Parking was "different" but clearly explained how to access lot. Loved having our room on same floor as scenic dining room. The ability to get meals at odd hours there was also appreciated. Didn't use other facilities but saw guests enjoying the hot tub, fitness room, etc. Easily navigated Vancouver roads to drive to Univ of BC- visited beautiful Japanese gardens on campus, but unfortunately the Archaeology museum was closed- still enjoyed wandering this HUGE campus. Had to skip Stanley Park since our ferry ride was the next day!
