This charming hotel is literally around the corner from the King St station of the subway and a 5-minute walk from Canadian Stage’s Berkeley Street Theater, which was a destination for us. (For those driving to Toronto, it’s also conveniently located two blocks north of Gardiner Expressway and literally on top of Commerce Center parking garage.) Staff was super-friendly, lobby area was delightful (felt like an English sitting room), our room was small but well-appointed (including an actual box of Kleenex!), bathroom was modern and surprisingly roomy for an older building. Lots of character combined with up-to-date comfort, plus convenience! Will definitely stay again.

Because it is an older building, elevator is small & slow and the only ice machine I found was in the basement. (Note: I did not ask staff if there was one closer to our seventh-floor room.)

The hotel was in the middle of the city, easy to get around by public transit as well as very walkable. The staff was friendly and the building had a unique quality to it. You could tell it was a historic buuilding. We were able to find great places to eat nearby, were within walking distance of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Union Station, the Rogers Center, and more. We would stay again.

We loved the hotel overall, but would note that the rooms are a bit on the smaller side. We were fine with this, but if you need more space and ammenities this is not for you. There was no mini fridge as well. For us, we appreciated the historic and uniqueness of the space but would understand if others wanted a more streamlined/standard hotel.

Nice boutique hotel with an interesting history. Good location for us. Bed was very comfortable, linens and towels were pure white hence very clean. Barman was nice and friendly. Would I stay there again? Yes, but just be more careful and enquiring when I booked.

Was disappointed in no wardrobe, or chairs (apart from desk chair) to sit in and no bath, which wasn’t what was advertised. I did say to the guy on reception that we were disappointed in that facilities didn’t live up to advertising. Not sure he really cared, ‘the manager isn’t on until tomorrow’ that was it. An offer of a couple of chairs would have been nice. No follow up, I mentioned to the female, next morning, she apologised. Need some brochures on Toronto, and services available, ie ice machine in basement. I’m not sure hanging the main overhead light on a hook from the ceiling, with the cord hanging off the wall is a good idea.

I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful and had a pride in "their" hotel. The food in the Mossop eating area was good and fresh and a big improvement on the pre-pandemic hotel. The foyer is interesting and has lots of history.

WE couldn't get the tv to work and there was no technician on site. Front desk tried to help and finally the issue was partly solved. WE appreciated the complimentary breakfast to make up for our movie-less night.

The service at the front desk, the restaurant and by housekeeping. Front desk manager Sundar and shift assistants (both named Aisha) were extremely helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping paid great attention to detail. We also enjoyed the cuisine at the restaurant. Kudos to the chef for her interesting blend of flavours. The location is superb: near Union Station and many tourist spots. And we love the decor. All the different sections of the lobby are Instagrammable, and the Victorian kettle in the room is a pleasing touch.

Nothing. We liked everything about Hotel Victoria.

Excellent location, friendly staff who helped us check into the room earlier (for half the price). There is water with lemon, lounge chairs and a cafe in the hall. The room was clean and warm. There was soap, shampoo, lotion. Also a kettle with a set of tea, sugar and coffee.

There was not at least one bottle of drinking water in the room. There was also no hair dryer, which was very uncomfortable. Very noisy heating and air conditioning system. Also during the day when the cleaners go around the rooms to clean everything you can hear in the room.

It’s near everything, and the people at the hotel it’s very helpful

The air conditioning never works and we go on winter so the weather was really cold

The hotel is updated with some old charm which means the rooms are large which is nice. The location is extremely central for getting around the city on foot or by public transit so really ideal for a visit to Toronto for seeing a show, game or just visiting.

The bed is fully encased in a plastic protector. I understand the reason the hotel would do this but it makes for a warm sleep and the plastic was also a bit noisy when rolling over. If I was there for more than 1 night this would have been a bigger issue. The A/C works well so that helps but still it wasn't comfortable.

I liked that when I arrived having lost my wallet en route (in the airport security screening scanner) from Dublin Ireland the hotel were able to take a deposit payment via an online transfer of $150 (Canadian dollars) as, of course, I had no credit card. Luckily, the wallet was found by Dublin airport security screening staff and returned to me on Friday when I returned from Toronto.

At one point the lift broke down but it was repaired within a few hours. I would have liked a wardrobe to hang jackets, suit etc.

The decor and overall vintage vibe was amazing in the lobby and restaurant. The staff were incredible and the bed was very comfortable. They also have a thriving 'social club' with tons of interesting and inclusive events.

The bathroom in my room was tiny and there was no shelf space in there to get ready, which was kind of annoying. Only instant coffee in the rooms and the view out the window is of a solid brick wall. But none of those things make for a bad stay, in my opinion!
