The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice, breakfast was also decent.

The pillows are too small and are pretty uncomfortable, but other than that, everything was perfect.

Excellent location, a lot of stores, restaurants, cafés around. Also, means of public transport (buses, metro, trams) are very near. Room was clean, looked like in pictures. Good choice of food for breakfast. In the restaurant you can get nice food or drinks in the afternoon or evening for reasonable price.

Elevators. There are three elevators, one didn't work. The other two were slow and in the rush hour (around breakfast) you can wait up to 10 minutes till you are able to enter it. Didn't see the stairs anywhere (but to be fair, I didn't ask at the reception if there is another way except elevators).

I really liked this hotel. The location was not the most interesting but convenient to the station and Alexanderplatz where there are lots of shops. The beds were supportive and comfy, not too hard. The bathroom and shower were perfect. The window opened to get fresh air but the AC worked well too.

The staff helped me solve my two issues below so all was great! The pillows were as flat as pancakes but the staff were super helpful and gave me more pillows to layer up so that was not a problem. I messaged ahead of time to confirm access to boiled water (we need it for a medical reason) and was told we would be able to borrow a kettle which was wrong, but the cafe staff happily filled up my thermos so it was also not a problem.

As far as I understood quite late this hotel is some kind of business hotel , that's why there wasn't any electric kettle, so I couldn't make tea or coffee, as well as no water to drink. So I had to drink from the bathroom)). That was weird experience. I have never been to such hotels.

I've stayed here a few times before while traveling alone. The proximity to Alexanderplatz makes it a good place to stay for solo travelers, who use public transportation to get around the city. This time, I also used the tram (even closer than Alexanderplatz) to get to Hamburger Bahnhof, Hackescher Markt, and to Frankfurter Tor and Friedrichshain. I found it more comfortable than riding the S-Bahn. The breakfast room is a little crowded and chaotic but the choices for breakfast are great.

There was a fire alarm on my last morning which made packing a bit crazy. Obviously, not the fault of the hotel. It is a consideration, though, if you are requesting a room that is on a floor high up! The announcement was impossible to hear with clarity. I was waiting for the elevator and it took me a while to figure out that the voice I heard was not someone with an exceptionally loud TV.

Loved the location of the hotel, the staff were helpful, the rooms had everything you could need comfort wise . The breakfast was outstanding both in quality of the items and the excellent choice of things to have. The hotel was spotless both in the room and in the main areas. Great Wi-Fi.

2 things really would have loved a kettle in the room for making a warm drink especially in the cold winter weather. Also the bar area was lacking. It needs an area of comfortable chairs to sit and have a drink in, we ended up taking up to our room and sitting on the bed, would have spent more money and spent more time in the bar if there was somewhere comfortable and smart looking to sit in.

The hotel is situated 2 minutes from Alexanderplatz, close to many bus and train stops and full of life at all times. The staff is always helpful, speaking a multitude of languages and always heed to your needs. They keep the place very neat and tidy. The price is just right, even for the “smaller wallets”. They keep a stand of leaflets for all museums, attractions and sightseeing companies to easily find what you wish to do during your visit. The breakfast has a wide selection of food and everything is really fresh and tasty.

I wouldn’t mind a small fridge in the room (I use insulin and for a longer stay it would be helpful). Also, the door arrangement in the toilet (glass door that closes either the WC area, or the shower area) is not extremely practical. I would recommend separate sliding doors.

Staff were friendly and helpful - at front counter and guests could ask for hot water from cafe at L1 to compensate for lack of hot kettle in room. They provided Christmas cookies and sweets in lobby.

Rooms are small, though functional. Fittings are not very good quality as metal stick holding sink stopper dropped out (though handy man came by within half an hour after front desk had been informed), bathing area glass door may not keep to it's position without a catch and hence water flows out onto the sink area flooring if not careful. No hot water kettle, no fridge.

The breakfast is fantastic, a good selection of both hot and cold choices, along with juices and coffee. The staff are also great, very helpful if you have any queries and very friendly. Location is as good as it can be, right near Alexanderplatz station and an easy walk to most attractions. If you want to try traditional German food, make sure to try the Hofbrau Munchen down the road.

My only criticism is that the pillows are very flat, and when you only get one it feels like you're sleeping with no pillow at all. However we requested extra pillows and they were more than happy to provide them.

H2 Hotel Alexanderplatz is my go-to accommodation in Berlin, having stayed here during my last four visits. The reception staff are exceptional—always professional, helpful, and welcoming. Combined with its fantastic location and excellent breakfast, the hotel has many strong points. However, there are some areas that need improvement. While the reception team excels, housekeeping falls short. In the last two rooms I stayed in, the sinks and shower drains were clogged. The bathroom soap was empty upon arrival and was never refilled, forcing me to use shower gel to wash my hands. Additionally, the toilet flush was broken and, despite being clearly visible, no action was taken to fix it. The pillows are very thin, requiring two for decent comfort. Despite these issues, the hotel stands out for its location and breakfast, making it a solid choice for visitors to Berlin. However, improvements in housekeeping would make the experience much better.
