The view from the room to both castles was perfect. That it was walking distance to Neuschwanstein was a real plus. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was a great start.

The room got a bit hot, but it's Summer.

We loved our short stay at Hotel Waldmann. We had a family room and the accomodation was very spacious, immaculate, warm and cosy, the beds were the most comfortable we've slept in and we had a stunning view of the two castles. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both were very good. In particular the apple strudel dessert and the eggs for breakfast. My only regret is we didn't book for longer!

The only downside was the exhaust in our bathroom didn't work well and wasn't able to extract the steam after four showers, so the bathroom was quite damp in the morning.

This hotel was conveniently located to Fussen and the Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. It is on a main small road but it is very quiet. The breakfast was great with fruits, cheeses, meats, hot and cold drinks. The breakfast room was sunny and inviting. We had a twin room with two beds, one bed on the side as you entered the room and the other bed a few steps away against an outer wall, This was in early October so the windows provided a nice cool breeze at night. The room was very clean and convenient with a table, place to hang clothes and put your luggage (we both had carryon plus small bags). We liked all the available free parking and I believe there are places for EV cars to plug in?! There is no elevator, but if you want the German ambiance, the location, and the very nice staff, then we didn't mind the lovely carpeted stairs. Also the nearby Lake Forggensee was a beautiful drive and walk.

Excellent travel accessibility of the hotel, breakfast, nice staff.

1. Given my travel experience, it wasn't hard for me to figure out how to get into an unlit hotel by entering the code at the back entrance. But my doubt is: anyone could read the code in any time, and then get the key. So I was little scared, and then happy no danger was waiting for me when I entered the hotel/room. 2. Upon arrival, the heating was turned off in the room and even in the bathroom. It would be nice to leave the room at least at low temperature controlled before the arrival of the guest. 3. WiFi is slow there.

Very nice boutique inn managed by extremely kind staff. The surrounding are is gorgeous and the rooms are well kept and had everything we needed. The bed was above average compared to similar places we've stayed at. Restaurant/bar on site which was very convenient. If we get a chance to visit the region again definitely will stay at this place again.

We stayed during holiday season so the days were short and there was not much going on since the hotel is a little outside the towns. This is what we expected so no surprise, but things are probably a lot more lively during the summer months.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very convenient to the castle, if you are planning to visit. Parking was easy, and they had bike rentals which were very fun. Breakfast was really good - enough options for everyone in our family. We ate in the restaurant for dinner, and really enjoyed our meal. We would stay again at this hotel

No complaints - all was good.

Not far from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, and the balcony rooms have a decent view of the two castles. Kiddie area (swing, rocking horse, trampoline) keeps small children busy.

Restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, requiring a drive into nearby Fussen or Schwangau for food. And the restaurant is better than most in the town (had a particularly good rump steak) so having to make that trip to town for inferior food is an additional indignity.

Great location, the bathroom is very clean, great breakfast

My daughter didnt finish her sandwich for breakfast, because she was not hungry, the lady didnt let us to take it. The lady doesnt like hungarian guests, she was much more kind with german guests.

The location of the property;the welcome from the staff; our room was top quality and well appointed with balcony overlooking the two castles in the mountains facing the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices available. Parking was plentiful and Schwangau and Fussen were within an easy 5/10 minute drive. Overall a superb overnight stay, to be highly recommended.

Nothing we didn’t like. Certainly not a complaint, but we would have preferred to have had an evening meal at the hotel rather than have to drive into Fussen.
