Breakfast: very good, enough, always somebody in the area available, fast cleaning table and refill for what was empty, good service there. Reception: friendly, helpfull, easy to connect with people. Hotel: you have also a good place to drink something, clean, enough space everywhere, good hotel location in centre of Reykjavik.

We stayed on the second floor, rm 226. King bed with separate down duvets, crisp soft white cotton bedding. A window that opened. Bright light, black out drapes for sleeping in. Bathroom clean and charming. 1 minute (maybe 30 seconds) walk from the City Hall, where is where the bus from the airport drops you off.

Would have liked the option to have breakfast included, it cost about $30. Each, but totally worth it. Included Everythinh you could think of. Buffet cheeses, breads, fruits, variety of cereal and topping, pancakes variety of toppings, sausage, bacon. You name it. You could have breakfast and you’re done until dinner.

The hotel is in a great location and is walkable to the harbor area, and many shops and restaurants. Bus Stop 1 is only a few minutes away by foot. The hotel site has an interesting history honored through pictures in the hallways. Don't miss The Settlement Exhibition next door to learn more. We accepted the hotel's invitation to upgrade to a larger room. We're glad we did as we stayed 6 nights. Downstairs has a comfortable pull-out sofa bed. My friend said she slept well. I was upstairs, where the loft had a traditional bed (queen?), desk and coffeemaker. Both areas had spacious closets and we were able to stash everything away instead of tripping over luggage. We appreciated how quiet it was. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices. Food was tasty and staff very friendly. We also visited the bar at night. Service was very good and the bartender also was friendly. I would consider this hotel a top choice if I were to go back to Reykjavik.

The loft was very warm, even when we opened the downstairs windows at night. Sleeping became difficult. When I asked the front desk staff if I could borrow a fan, the one they had been using was unplugged and given to me. I wasn't expecting kind gesture that and thought that was great customer service. It worked really well at cooling down the area and made sleeping much easier. We wondered why the coffeemaker is upstairs when water is downstairs. Maybe it is a better fit up there. We didn't use it, but not because of its location. We had coffee with breakfast.

The room and bed were comfortable, with warm individual duvets. The bathroom was okay although it took a minute to work out how to turn the tap from bath to shower.

The window was not double-glazed and was very drafty and noisy from the strong wind outside. A previous guest had tried to stuff tissues around the window to stop the draft! There was also a lot of floor noise from either above or the rooms next door, and at one stage, it sounded like someone was moving furniture around at 10 pm. Coffee pods were provided in the room, but there wasn't a Nespresso machine to use them in.

We were pleasantly surprised that the breakfast was much more than continental with a great range on offer, including cereals, fruit, cold meats, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, danish pastries, bread etc. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre and close to pick-up bus stops for tours, the harbour for boat trips and a plentiful supply of restaurants and shops and bars.

The Hotel at times was a little noisy with wooden floors you heard every noise from the room above. It is also on the flight path for the local domestic airport.

Lovely hotel, we arrived earlier than check in time but we able to leave our suitcase in the luggage room until the room was ready. Nice and quiet location, perfect for wandering Reykjavik (5-10 min walk to main streets) and was also very close to bus stop 1 (2 min walk) where we were picked up for all of our tours on the trip. Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food. Staff on hand to top up anything that got low. Beds were made and towels changed each day (if required by us). Staff very polite and on hand to answer any queries on our stay. Definitely come back ***

The location in the centre of old Reykjavik was terrific and the hotel was great. All kinds of terrific reestaurants and points of interest, like the concert hall, are within walking distance.

Really the only thing that could have been better--and it's not something the hotel could do anything about--was the daily parking challenge. There are parking lots nearby, which are free overnight, but at 8:00 in the morning you have to buy more time.

Bed is super comfy. I loved that I could open the window for fresh air, robe, slipper, shampoo, and lotions, all included. The breakfast is the BEST I have ever had in Europe. Super Friendly and helpful staff. Very well located in the tourist area of Reykjavik and the room is Very quiet!!

I could not get the shower to work, only the tub portion, I tried calling to reception to get help, but there was no answer. The room could also use an outlet at the bed that is not already in use.

We chose a junior suite so that we had a bit more room and it was perfect. Lots of storage room, comfy beds and bedding, small fridge in the suite, and adjustable heating through radiator which means it was easy to get it to the temperature we wanted. The hotel itself had good decor and facilitities, great breakfast. The best thing about the hotel were the receptionists - friendly, helpful, made recommendations, answered queries and booked taxis and always smiling.

Nothing. All good.

We had no complaints. The room was clean and the size was expected. They were able to honor our request to have our two rooms next to each other. Each of the staff that we met was very friendly and helpful. Marina at the front desk was especially helpful as she gave us a lot of information about trips and even booked most of them! I have seen some complaints about the breakfast area being crowded, but we had no problem. The front desk even took actions to help alleviate the problem by asking us each day when we expected to be having breakfast. The location was perfect for us. Everything we wanted to see in the city center was in walking distance as was the bus stop we needed for our excursion.
