The person on check-in was very accommodating, and then the little touches like a welcome note in the room, and George the duck in the bathroom made me smile! I really liked the branding/marketing of the hotel. I was also impressed with the Nespresso coffee machine, and we really appreciated when we were provided with an extra fan for our room which was needed due to the unseasonably hot weather. I also liked the menu and food quality in the restaurant. There was lots of choice and some great special offers to choose from, e.g. large pizza with a pint of lager or glass of wine for €18, which I thought represented very good value. I also treated myself to a Pornstar Martini cocktail and it was made to absolute perfection, delicious!

It was a 'cosy double' so the room was quite small, with access to the bed from one side only, however, I didn't mind too much as I accepted that I had booked this style room, and it was only for one night so no big deal.

Very central location. Friendly staff. Food was excellent. Room and bed was very comfortable. Room has a fan and staff even did their best to prevent the rooms from becoming too hot during summer months.

There were a few minors issues but nothing major: There was a bit of a miscommunication regarding the restaurant. We had been given assurance by the receptionist that there was no need to book a table for the restaurant. We showed up at the restaurant in the evening and were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes because we hadn't made a reservation. Room was a bit noisy due to the street outside but that's to be expected in a city centre hotel, so can't fault the hotel for that. Car park not ideal if you have a big car.

The hotel is located in a city Centre, it is close everywhere you would like to go. The service and staff is extraordinary, I had a really pleasant stay. Everybody was very nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good.

You need to remember to buy your own adapter if you are from Central Europe, because the plugs are different and unfortunately the hotel does not have spares. It is possible to buy these in the vending mashines but I did not see the ones I needed. The hardware store is around the corner and the adapter costs less that 5 Euros so it is not that of an issue.

The hotel itself was very nicely decorated, it was central in the city which was a big bonus. Our room was very nice and clean. There was a lovely note left by staff, coffee, tea, biscuits and chocolates! There was also a little rubber duck which was cute. Staff at the front counter were very friendly and helpful, they let us store our bags before check in and also after check out as we had a few hours before our train.

Only downside was our room was beside the lift so could hear people talking, coming/going throughout the night.

It was central to what we needed, more than i realised when finding out i was sleeping right next to the building i was looking for, and discovering this after i had left! Breakfast was top notch - quick and delicious! Reception staff, in particular, Rosie, are an asset to your business and could not have done more for us. Super friendly, helpful and professional! If ever back in Limerick, i would choose this property first off.

There is nothing i didn't like about this property. Only thing to note, is there are stairs to your room and not a lift, so if you have large suitcases, be prepared. But this was a small issue and we had no real problems at all.

The room size and the balcony with turf floor was an unexpected plus! Our view of the city from the top floor was great as well! It made our honeymoon special!

Really nothing.

The time I was in Limerick was very hot and the structure does not have A/C, this has to be rememberd in these warmer years. The manager was very comprehensive with me I must say. In general Ireland is costly and cities are not to best places to visit but I was for work and I enjoyed the place. University of Limerick is not close but the public transportation is quite efficient and bus stop was not too far from the Hotel. I did not have breakfast so I cannot judge it.

Cooling system

The convenience of the early morning airport shuttle is the number one reason we stayed at this hotel. The hotel was completely booked but there was no problem getting a large table to seat our family of five for the Excellent breakfast buffet with many options. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the mushroom soup and beet salad were both quite good.

Our family booked two rooms that we requested be located near to each other, however the rooms were located on different floors, with the family style room being all the way at the end of the hall.

This was my second time staying at the George Hotel and it still sits as my favourite hotel I've been to in Ireland. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is great and the rooms are perfect. The location is fantastic and it's modern but still really cosy. I will 100% be back 😊

The only criticism I have is that the cleaners are a bit persistent. I had the sign up "Do Not Disturb" and they would still knock to try and come in. It kind of defeats the purpose of the sign I think and you're not able to fully relax. Bit of a security issue as well if the staff aren't taking note of which sign people have up.

Central Location - Right at the centre of town. Close to nice pubs, restaurants and the shopping areas Room Size - Really decent sized room with everything you need. Good size storage and wardrobe area. Tea/Coffee station, safe and ironing board etc Amenities- Big Bathroom and shower area Bar and reception area - Nice layout and staff were lovely too

Really nice staff in the bar area but it was incredibly slow due to them constantly making cocktails for what seemed to be the restaurant area. We never had more than two drinks each night as it was painful All soaps and shower gels were single use and not great for the environment. Certainly not needed with the availability of options!
