The hotel was in a convenient place, 5 minutes' walk from the station, but, being five floors up, you felt a long way from the hurly-burly of the streets outside. The room had a good view across Florence but the best part was the panoramic view from the rooftop. It is an unusual hotel in that it has an ancient lift to get to the top floor and the reception is not staffed for much of the time, but that doesn't really matter.

I like the cranky old lift, but not everyone might agree.

The room was clean, the furniture was simple but very functional. From the property you could access a rooftop terrace with the view of the historical centre. We were allowed to leave our baggage at the property after check-out.

There was a lot of noise from the street, also at night (even if we were on the 5th floor, and promised soundproofing). The room (number 4) was small, and the shower box was small as well (we were promised 17m2). There was no promised landmark view from the room.

It is a hotel that we can recommend to everyone. It is a clean and comfortable place. The location is away from the chaos, close to shopping areas and the leather market. You can reach anywhere in the city by walking for 5-10 minutes. It was rainy when we were there. We went back to our room and changed clothes at every opportunity. Quiet rooms, hot water and facilities were sufficient. There was a hospitable staff and they took care of everything. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS, after checking out, we vacated the room and left our bags at the hotel until the evening. When we returned to the hotel, we rested, drank coffee and changed clothes in the guest waiting area. Many thanks to Hotel Bellavista and its staff.

Lovely little hotel, rooms well appointed, cool decor. Great location, close to the main sights and also only a few mins walk to Santa Maria Novella train station. Via Faenza is just round the corner and has lots of nice restaurants. However, Bellavista still feels like a peaceful stay.

Shame we couldn’t use the terrace for coffee in the morning (it’s only open in the afternoon after the cleaning team have been).

I loved the room and the details of the room from the beautiful bathroom to the towels, to the wallpaper and bed linen. Very nice decor and very clean. I also liked that there was water in the fridge with a little note that said from us to you.

Only one iron and it was taken by one room and so I was at a disadvantage of not having access to ironing my clothes. Quite selfish of the room guest and also a little inconsiderate of the receptionist not to be assertive. I felt like I wasn’t treated fairly. All guests should be treated with the same hospitality.

We stayed in room 14 with the balcony and sauna. The view was incredible and the facilities were amazing. I was slightly worried because of how harsh some of the reviews were but I was extremely pleased with how our stay went. We got to the hotel slightly early (before check in) as we had travelled by train, and dropped off our bags. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The access to the roof terrace was lovely too. It's also in an excellent location for access to the train station as well as the sights. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel was located next to the train station and very close to shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and easy to deal with. They were also very accommodating in term so luggage storage. I had medicine that needed to be refrigerated and the hotel was more than happy to let me store the medicine in their fridge even after check out until I needed to pick up my luggage to catch the train. Great value for money, would recommend stay!

The hotel is on a busy road and there’s holding construction across the road. However the hotel has block out blinds that shuts out the noise somewhat so a minor issue only in my opinion.

View was as pictured. Location was great a nice walk to all sights but close to restaurateurs. Comfortable bed and clean room. Gift of pasta to take home was a very nice touch. No interaction with staff, check in and check out was really easy. Large storage areas for luggage if need to check out before leaving the city. You can still access these after leaving keys as there is a building code.

Sauna was quite small.

The location is perfect; it's a very quick and easy walk to the train station and all the sights. The view from our room was wonderful, and then we went up to the rooftop patio and WOW!! What a gorgeous view of the cathedral and the whole city. Before we went out each night, we went to the roof to have a little wine and enjoy that view.

There is an elevator. It's tiny, but it serves the purpose of helping to get luggage up to your room!

Again everything was amazing! Valeria made sure everything was cleaned and prepared for the day. ❤️ The stuff made us feel welcomed and loved! ❤️ The location is very central to everything and the view from the balcony and the roof was stunning! 🤩

Everything was perfect, nothing to dislike. Maybe a bit more space for luggage and clothing, but that was just us! 😅
