close to train station, also means not the nicest part of town so some loud arguing etc in the streets at night. Walkable distance to nearly everything we wanted to see. Grocery/wine stores very close. Front desk staff=great! Having a balcony was a bonus if on the street side, and wooden shutters helped with noise. Breakfast very good, umbrellas to borrow is a plus. Very comfy bed.

Wish there were some drawers basic for clothing storage. A coffee maker would be nice. Could not figure out the heat control but we managed ok (extra blanket in closet helped a lot). A woman on her own should probably not go out on her own at night there due to harassment.

Im glad we picked to stay in Hotel Cosimo de Medici. It was better than what I expected. Location is the best. Near the train station, near the Duomo, Mercato Centrale and other sites of interest. it was also across a grocery that made it so convenient. We also found a really great steak place along the same street (Malatesta, we ate there twice). Best of all was Ilaria who was so friendly, helpful and lovely. Will stay here again for sure! Book now. No need to look further. Value for money.

- Elion (apologies if I have spelt the name incorrectly) at reception was excellent. He was so kind and welcoming to us. He assisted us with planning our trip to Cinque Terre and also assisted us with ordering a taxi. Thank you, Elion! - the cleaning service daily was good. - the property is in a good location, we could walk to all the tourist sites easily and it was very close to the train station. - the rooms felt safe. - there is an elevator.

Everything was great. It was the best hotel to book for our 3 days in Florence. It was good price, awesome location (2 minutes away from the train station, which made it very easy for us with all that luggage we had). Very safe building considering the area, you need to go through private gate to enter the area of the hotel and then another with your key pass to enter the actual hotel. The service of the hotel was excellent, starting from the cleaning crew that provided anything extra we needed, Antonio at the reception was very polite and Margarita at the breakfast was very happy to help out.

The quality and quantity of the breakfast. Not many options, just salami and ham allong with eggs, toasts, and some other croissants.

We had a room with a double bed. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generic but there were enough options to satisfy everyone. We liked the old vibe of the building. Location is very central, you can get to the main attractions within minutes of walking.

The only thing I would mention is that the room had a window opening towards a dark courtyard. But that's how the building was constructed, so we didn't really hold it against them.

The room is very clean and comfortable. The toilet is very clean as well and the water pressure is just nice :) It is also very accessible and the staff were very friendly. The staff provided clear instructions when we self check in the hotel at midnight :)

The shower area was slightly small and there were limited selections of breakfast

- not much storage space for two - our room was on the main road, so quite noisy despite double glazed windows - breakfast was ok but if im being picky id say id want them to add fruits as there arent any, and cappuccino could be better ;-)

Great location for access to the centre of Florence. The rooms are clean and typically Italian. Breakfast very good. Limited parking on site but only for a small to medium sized car.

Access to the parking area is off a very busy road and the entrance is very tight. There is no restaurant for evening meal but many restaurants locally.

It was very close to the train station which is where the tour pickup was for all of our tours. And is also very close to the Duomo and lots of shops and restaurants. Very clean rooms, kind and professional staff, and delicious morning breakfast.

My only dislike was that the beds were hard.

The location is very good, only 3 minutes walk from Florence train station, the staff is very friendly and very attentive to introduce us to the accommodation. The room has a small terrace which you can overlook the street and there is a large supermarket nearby where you can buy everything you need at a good price.
