The feel of the hotel was so "old world Venice" - loved the atmosphere. Our room was decorated in Venican style -again gorgeous. We had a canal-view room with a little balcony which was magnificent. The room was large with plenty of storage space - the location was simply the best! Cafes just outside and a short walk to St Marks Square. Wide variety of breakfast items in a nice breakfast area.

Well it was expensive - but I guess that is Venice.

Wonderfully Venetian ambience - obviously old spaces converted into modern hotel rooms. The rooms are managed by the San Lorenzo staff a few doors down, who were wonderfully helpful. Excellent location, and impressively quiet as well.

The facilities don’t really compare with those of a modern-built hotel, but that’s kind of the point. You’re staying in Venice, after all!

The location of this hotel is perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. And I was given an upgrade to a lovely room with a terrace and canal view! The cleaning was done daily to a perfect standard.

The bed was very hard and the Aircon in the bedroom made a lot of noise, so it was very lucky that I brought earplugs! The deco was a bit tatty, but I presume this was due to it being original. There was no kettle or cups to make tea or coffee in the room, which I would have liked. Very basic facilities but the cleanliness, character and location of the place made up for all this!

Location was excellent, very close to the centre and restaurants, very close to canal and crossing bridges

The floor was a bit dusty and hairdryer was covered with something so that it was not pleasant to touch it

There are several adjoining buildings along the canal and ours was very traditionally decorated with beautiful communal areas. We paid extra for a canal view room and it was wonderful with fabulous views. Large room with spacious modern bathroom. Lovely breakfast served in adjoining building. We took a Gondola ride from outside the hotel, very relaxing. excellant location 5 mins walk to St Marks Square, nice to go before breakfast and the crowds. 5 mins walk to nearest waterbus stop. 15 mins to rialto Bridge. Helpful reception advised where when to see amazing Venice regata. lots of lovely squares nearby to eat out.

Nothing. No lifts but you need to fit to carry your suitcase over all the bridges in Venice anyway.

Stayed here two weeks and savored every minute. Casa is in a glorious centrally located, lively and lovely Castello neighborhood. Our beautiful and spacious room (featured frequently in their marketing materials) had not one but 2 canal views, a sitting area where we enjoyed several dinners "a casa," an updated bathroom. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast with a varied choices, house made cakes, and warm service by le signore.

The street could be noisy and we had to close the windows

The staff was phenomenal!!!! They were on top of everything My wife hurt her knee the last night we were there and they immediately changed our room to the ground floor so she wouldn’t have to walk up steps. All of this at 6 PM. They reacted kindly and swiftly to help us on our situation. We are so grateful. I would recommend everyone to stay here when they visit Venice. On my food travel blog “Justin’s gourmet grub” I will make the same recommendation. It also is in the perfect location in Venice for all the main attractions as well as incredible food and wine places.

Excellent location, quiet but well placed for access to main attractions. Local dining options were excellent. Beautifully clean hotel. Very charming venetian decor. Reception, housekeeping & breakfast staff were all faultlessly polite, helpful, efficient and charming. I stayed for one night and got a discounted room rate, and this allowed me to really make the most of my trip as the location was exceptional. It was well worth the indulgence. Highly recommend.

Difficult to locate the hairdryer inside a dark wardrobe. Motion sensor light would have been helpful.

The hotel location is one of the best in Venice in my oppinion, close from the ferry and many other must see sites of the city. The staff were very welcoming and if you dont speak italian they all speak english. The hotel where we stayed in looked amazing and it felt like we went into the past. 100% we would consider going back if we ever chose to visit Venice again.

The lack of a lift since we stayed on the 5th floor to add something, but I cant think of any other thing.

The staff were exeptional! Very helpful and kind. They were also fantastic with children, extremely patient! I was travelling alone with my two young daughters- our first trip alone after the death of my husband. I was very nervous about this trip but Mark and all the other wonderful staff at the front desk helped to make it truely magical, one we wont forget. The room was beautiful and clean and the shower was amazing! We booked a Gondola ride (its worth every cent) through the hotel as well as airport water taxi transfer and they helped me with my bags and the children. The location is brilliant, so close to all the land marks (even my smallie was able to walk with out too much moaning). There are great restaurants and icecream shop across the canal that get lovely sun in the afternoon.
