Very nice and well appointed room. Close to the tram. Modern airy communal space. Well soundproofed rooms. Helpful housekeeping staff and reception.

The breakfast was OK, but not as good as I've had elsewhere on stays in Nottingham. Toaster machine was laughable, bearley toasted or put through again and black. The location is nothing special beyond the grounds, but you are a short walk from to the tram to go somewhere else (20mins to City). Only low level lighting in the room (plenty of it too), not good for packing when its dark! Small points and nothing that would prevent me going back.

On arrival the staff where friendly and explained everything. The room was spotless, very clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were so soft you felt like you just melted into them. The food was really nice, all the counters were clean and filled at all times. Plates were warm. Staff were always there to help you with your dietary needs. One young server, wished everyone a Merry Christmas, nothing was too much trouble for him. All the staff were polite and helpful. The cookie was amazing, you receive this when you receive your fob. I took my dog and the staff brought a bowl for her also a dog bed. I could not fault this hotel at all. Every year I go back to this hotel we will not have any other.

I can honest say there was nothing we did not like, everything was of high standard you could not fault nothing.

The pictures online did not do the room any justice. We were pleasantly surprised to see the room in person. I was worried about the red wallpaper, but it wasn't as in your face as it was in the photos online. We asked for a room for 3 we got a sofa bed- it wasn't the most comfortable but housekeeping gave us extra bed covers to compensate. the mini fridge was ok... the rest of the room was wonderful day. the bed was comfortable the shower was excellent and the foyer with the chandeliers were fabulous. beautiful breakfast dining area with friendly and helpful staff and i loved the gym facilities.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham - Gateway. The location is excellent, and the hotel is impeccably clean and tidy. The evening reception staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making our arrival smooth and pleasant. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotless, ensuring a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of options, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. My children were especially happy, which made the experience even more enjoyable for us as a family. We look forward to returning in the future!

Our stay was enjoyable, but the room TV had very limited channels and wasn’t fully smart. Adding YouTube, Netflix, and similar apps would enhance the experience.

Gateway is often my "go-to" when I stay in Nottm because it is clean and reliable, I know what to expect and am never disappointed. I occasionally get tempted by offers from other hotels but then get reminded how good the Gateway is. The rooms (standard to upgrades) are good, the public areas clean and the car park has a fair amount of spaces

This stay was over two nights, although the meal on the first night was very good, the restaurant menu choices didn't tempt me to dine in the second evening (I don't feel that I am picky when it comes to food) and although the bottled water was used up first day they weren't replaced when housekeeping cleaned the room for the second night

Bedroom and check in was great. Had a great sleep. Breakfast was good

Was at a wedding at the hotel. Lights where the toilets were not on and i had to request that the lights were turned on. A number of elderly people in attendance who are unsteady, so for a health & safety aspect, it was essential that the lights were on to prevent an incident from occurring. Short measures on spirits had the same drink, which differed each time. When I ordered a double whisky at bar, it was short, and I told the bar lady who told me it wasn't, but when she put it into the measure, she had to top it up. This is poor. Staff started packing up the event before people left the event, almost as if to say you need to leave. Was told the bar in the hotel was closed and other members of the wedding party had to request it opens for residents.

The room in the new wing was spacious and comfortable with A/C, a good sized bathroom and a large comfortable bed. Plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The young person waiting table in the lounge bar was excellent and put in x3 the effort of other colleagues. The public areas are spacious and were never busy.

The free WiFi was slow and insecure and faster secure wifi was at a premium daily rate: rip off in this day and age. The 4G mobile coverage in this area is also poor so you can't hotspot to get around the rubbish wifi. Breakfast was pretty average and had to be paid for - though cheaper for HIlton Club members. The Blossoms restaurant was closed and the food in the lounge bar was quite an extensive menu but pretty average: evidently they rely on subcontract chefs who can change every few days.

Parking was super easy, no charge which is becoming a rarity with lots of hotels. Breakfast, whilst the choice is limited you can notice the quality of the food is very good and fresh. Room was emaculate. Whilst on the way to breakfast I noticed the staff cleaning a bedroom that was already vacated. Using proper cleansing solutions and everywhere getting a very thorough wash/wipe down. This really should be normal practice in any hotel type settings but sadly not always the case. Tasty warm complimentary cookie on arrival at check in. Common area toilets also very, very clean. Would most definitely stay here again if and when in the area.

This is by no means the fault of the Hotel. However some selfish guest thought it was perfectly ok to hold a full blown telephone conversation at 4.00am for almost 1 hour solid. These people wasn't even next door, they were on another floor (heard other guests complaining about it at breakfast) There are a number of reasons why they needed to be on the phone at that time of the day which I'll never know but at least have the common courtesy to keep the conversation at a reasonable volume as not everyone else in the hotel need or want to know 🙄

The front house staff were exceptionally welcoming and valued us as guests. They were friendly, helpful and informative. Regular updates were given to check our stay was going well and personalised greetings were much appreciated. Well done! The room was spacious, very comfortable and met all expectations. We will definitely be booking to come back again.

The price of food in the bar area (and the breakfast) were not within our budget. £18.50 per head for breakfast seemed steep, even a continental breakfast at £14.50 seemed high. We therefore had to get a breakfast elsewhere.

I paid for an upgraded room which was in the "new" wing of the hotel. The hotel is easy to reach off the motorway, with its own decent sized car park it offers a few options to dump the car and avoid all the hassle of dicing with death in the awful city centre traffic or paying through the nose for city centre parking. I stay at this hotel a couple of times a year (one, perhaps two nights while visiting friends and family in the area) so wouldn't consider myself a regular customer but I hadn't realised until I arrived that I was looking forward to seeing three members of staff who had made previous stays more comfortable. I was pleased to see Precious at breakfast (have a well deserved holiday Precious!) but didn't bump into Lisa or Kris - maybe next time(?)

The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite small, in fact it took a little thought working out how to get into the bathroom and close the door without causing myself harm! that said, the room and bathroom were very clean and adequate for a stay of a night or two
