Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The shower was very nice. The hotel is well situated for a city trip and access to the reasonably priced car park was useful.

Being charged £50 for mini bar I did not intend to use (give how much they were charging ie £8.50 for a 50cl bottle of spirit) and then having to wait for it to be refunded at the end of our stay. The breakfast was expensive at £17per head so we ate breakfast elsewhere where we had nicer options for half as much. The goggle maps direction for the hotel takes you to the other southern half of the crescent on which it is situated. Sadly there is bollard blocking access half way round. You have to enter from the Northern end of the road. It would be helpful if the hotel ask Google to update it.

Super comfortable bed - liked the goose down pillows so much we're ordering from hotel supplier. Step from room into garden for guests, sit in the sun outside or peer over wall for panoramic view. Stylish bathroom, power shower with gels etc. Sleek multi-level building design. Easy check-in with smiley staff. Good exercise walking down to city centre.

Rip-off car park charge - since when is it OK for hotels to demand 11 quid a night on top of room rate? That plus cooked breakfast for two took price towards 150 for one night's stay. Why leave a half bottle of wine which appears to be complimentary next to free tea, coffee & biscuits? ... 15 quid to the unwary! Radio alarm at bed side went off at 6am - thanks to previous guest for being so thoughtful.

Great location. Such a nice quiet area of the city. Parking was good value. £10. Lovely helpful Staff especially the Receptionist. Room was very nice, comfortable large bed and most everything you could want in there.

The Restaurant prices were very High. We had a very light lunch with one drink each and it came to £40+ also full English breakfast would be £17. It was the weekend but the restaurant was quite empty, I’d be inclined to reduce prices a bit to encourage guests to eat and drink there! Also I made a coffee in the room in the morning and the glass bottle of milk in the mini fridge was off (turned to jelly/string mass in my cup) had to throw the cofffee away .

Great location, quiet - that's the best thing that I always want. Very comfortable room, bed, bathroom exceptionally good and well laid out. Beautiful view. Able to open a window - lovely. Professional and polite staff. Fabulous location.

1. A little on the pricey side 2. Parking charge. Hadn't been told about this and it didn't appear anywhere on the booking. Felt that was disingenuous. Just include it in the price or be more transparent? 3. The shower fan didn't go off even when the light was turned off. So it was on all the time and we had to take the key card out of the slot to shut everything off for the night. I had to read using my phone light. Bit annoying.

The hotel is in a very convenient and central location - it is also quiet and leafy for a city hotel. Really attractive area right by the castle. A five minute walk into town. The rooms were spacious and well furnished, the decor tasteful and modern. A real treat to have L’Occitane products in the bathroom. Such lovely staff - helpful, courteous and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Also - AT LAST- a room with a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits - very welcome after a long drive.

Convenient location to walk to Nottingham centre. Comfortable bed. We had a nice nightcap in the foyer after dinner elsewhere.

Noisy during the night, not sure if this was other guests or outside. Door into bathroom is opaque glass and there is no blackout for the bathroom windows, so light came into the room early (not too much of a problem in the winter, but you might need an eye mask in the summer). There is a small parking attached to the hotel - we just managed to squeeze into the last space (against a very badly parked other guest). Not sure what we would have done with the car had we not been able to.

The staff are always incredibly polite and efficient. We love the location, being able to walk into the centre of Nottingham easily. The room was small but comfortable, with a well stocked mini-bar and nice toiletries. The bed was really comfy!

The room was really hot and the portable air-conditioning unit that had been provided was really noisy so we couldn't keep that on overnight. Another really minor detail, but you have asked what we didn't like! We would prefer a coffee machine rather than a cafetiere. We were also only provided with decaffeinated coffee in our room. I know if we had contacted reception someone would have brought us 'full fat' coffee, but we didn't really want to have to see anyone first thing in the morning!

The location is perfect, a short walk to the castle and the City Centre, easy to find and onsite parking. Friendly staff, easy check in and out. The hotel is very smart inside and out without being formal or fussy. It has an intimate feel to it. Breakfast is excellent if a little expensive. Our room was immaculate with everything you could want, a good sized bathroom, well equipped, lovely towels, the shower was excellent and easy to operate.

Our standard room was, perhaps, a little small. There is no air conditioning. I’m being hyper critical with those comments. We stayed over a very hot weekend, the likes of which we seldom experience in the UK. There is plenty of venting and windows to open, plus the room had an electric fan so we were quite comfortable.

The location is great- central yet quiet. However, what I liked the most was the facilities. The room was small but all the electrical outlets are positioned at places that are easily accessible. Also, with nearly zero waiting time, the hot water in the shower also has good pressure.

The only thing I don’t like was that there’s no central heating/air conditioner, which made the room too warm for my liking at night.

The pillows and bed were extremely comfortable, a luxury you cannot underestimate when you are away from home. Nice touches in the room, a cafetiere, high quality coffee and tea and fresh milk (very good for morale). Good shower and lovely products in the bathroom. It is set in a quiet location and I had a lovely view from my window (first floor room).

The exercise room was convenient but could be better equipped.
