Jelena our host went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Her breakfasts are amazing. She works hard at keeping the guesthouse very clean and is very easy going and funny. A big thank you to Jelena from Netty and Brian 😊. Beautiful garden to chill in. Location is within walking distant to St Heliers main town. Plenty of things to do. Every type of shop and restaurant/takeaway available. I can definitely recommend Do Porto Portuguese restaurant. Their kebabs are something else and they do give you massive portions of everything so be aware if you are a small eater. Jersey Ice-creams are to die for and I can highly recommend you try some if you love ice-cream. We got a bus pass for the week. Very easy to use public transport to go places. Beautiful beaches and other attractions. The boat trips are well worth it. We would love to go back to see the other half of the island now. The islanders are very friendly and helpful too.

There was nothing we didn't like. It's a beautiful Island to visit. Buses can get a bit busy at weekends due to tourists, but they put on extra buses to overcome this and you didn't have to wait long from the main Liberty bus station near the Wharf.

My wife and i visited Jersey for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. We stayed at the Franklyn Guest house and i have to say it was a great choice. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. Elena was a very welcoming and entertaining host, both in the way she looked after us and in her conversation. She cooked a great breakfast every morning and also made us feel at home every day. We were sitting in the garden on the day of my wifes birthday enjoying a glass of wine with some other guests. When Elena heard me say it was my wifes birthday she came out and said if she had known she would have made a cake. She then disappeared and came back a few minutes later with a big plate of strawberries with a candle on top saying it was the best she could do at short notice. We are planning on visiting Jersey again and will most definitely stay at the Franklyn if available, not only because of its location but also because of Elena. Read less

We have passed three wonderful days in Jersey The Franklyn Guest House is very well-situed in the centre of St Helier so it's easy to move everywhere on the island ! Moreover the breakfasts icluded were incredible ! We highly recommend ! Finally, we wanted to thank again Jelena for being very attentive with us and for her good discussion and advises and tips ! It was a pleasure to meet you ! See you next time Robin and Oceane

The hot water tank turns off from time to time and the water becomes cold ! A discomfort when you want to take a warm shower !

The english breakfast was fantastic and we had a great chat with Elena who is very friendly, direct and helpful. She was the only one during our entire trip who responded to our request that we would like separate blankets on the double bed instead of the shared one.

A socket converter in each room would be a great help for forgetful non-English travelers like us. Unfortunately, we were only able to spend one night in Jersey during our trip to France, and to be honest we didn't even think of the other type of outlet. The only converter was already requested by another guest before us.

The host was amazingly friendly and was always doing everything to please us. Nothing was too much. It was not an act, it was who she was. The room was spotless, beautifully clean sheets, comfy bed, well appointed shower room with plentiful toiletries. The breakfast had loads of choice of tea cereal, jams and marmalade, toast or croissants, with a full English Breakfast. The location was within 5 minutes walk of several good quality restaurants for evening meals and was 15 minutes walk from the main square and bus terminal.

Just back from a 4 night stay at The Franklyn Guesthouse and would most certainly go back there again, we highly recommend it! Jelena was the perfect hostess, super attentive and really lovely! She was happy to give us information and directions whenever we asked her. The hot breakfast was great! Always freshly cooked. There are plenty of cereals to choose from, also fresh orange and tea/coffee with toast etc. Jelena even made fresh porridge for my husband one morning, which he loved! As I don't drink dairy milk she insisted on buying Almond milk for me....which she very kindly gave me a jug of to take to our room fridge! Our room was spacious, fully equipped and spotlessly clean with a very comfy double bed. The weather whilst we were there was mid 20s and what a blessing it was that our lovely host had very thoughtfully provided sun screen in the room for us (no need to buy any!) :)) The back garden was lovely and a peaceful place for a spot of relaxation....and possibly a chance to fuss over Lucy the cat :) The guest house is an easy walk, approx 10-15mins, from the main thoroughfare. Priced at around £100 a night we felt this was good value for what we got. If we were to go to St Helier again we would be more than happy to stay again at The Franklyn Guesthouse. Many thanks to Jelena for helping make our first visit to Jersey so enjoyable and memorable.....cheers! :) Caroline & John

The Guesthouse itself was really nice with a beautiful garden which was a surprise. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and Lena was very helpful .

The only downside is that it was at least 15/17 minutes walk to the bus station which we used a lot. There was building works and scaffolding opposite the guesthouse and our bedroom was overlooking the main road which was quite noisy and busy.

Elena was friendly, fun, pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of options. Lovely old property. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. We like that Elena uses 'normal' groceries, not those little plastic packs of butter, milk, jam, coffee etc

We knew we would be outside of the main town, but the 15 minute walk was not very pleasant, with building work, and a semi-derelict house right opposite our window. Not the host's fault, and it didn't spoil our holiday.

Guest house room we had was very clean and tidy with TV and Fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The full english breakfast was great, cereals, toast, jams and fruit all available too. A lounge with TV was located on ground floor for guests use. Guesthouse is located about a 10 minute walk from St Helier harbour. Helena the Host was very welcoming and helpful.
