The location and size of the property were perfect. The property is located in front of the island of Cozumel, so there where never big waves and we enjoyed the beach almost every day. The hotel is not too big, so we could find a table at the restaurant every day without having to wait.

This is an all inclusive hotel, but after arrival they never restocked the minibar at the room. They did not have waiters around the pool so if you want a drink you have to get out of the pool and make a line to get a drink. Even worst if you were at the beach.

The beach is fantastic - large, clean, with LOTS of chairs and a ton of trees so you can always find shade. The pool area was really nice too. The whole property is a good size - not too big - so the kids (teens) had the run of the place but could always find us. Rooms were a nice size and clean. Other resorts might be fancier but you pay a lot more for them too. For the money, I'd definitely recommend.

The food was...fine. Not amazing but a wide variety and everyone always found something to fill up on. Nice that the snack area where food is available whenever the buffet is closed included chips, guac, pizza, etc. The restaurants with reservations were good for something different.

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful time! The location is perfect, a few meters from the beach. The sea is beautiful turquoise and blue, the sand is white/gold. There were always enough deck chairs at the beach, even when the hotel was full (around Christmas and New Year's eve). The buffet food was quite good, a lot of vegetarian options and we actually preferred to eat here than in the specialty restaurants. The beverages and food in general are quite good. The included water activities (kayak, catamaran) and various games can keep you entertained. Although there were families and kids, it was easy to have some peace and quiet. We though this kind of "all inclusive" resort was not for us, but after spending 7 days we didn't want to continue our trip in Yucatan but just stay there forever! So we did come back for another 5 nights (after a terrible experience in a nearby resort). Already planning to come back to Azteca again!

Fruit juices are not all 100% natural, some quite watery with added sugar The sauna was not working well The specialty restaurants could have more vegetarian choices

Everything about this place was amazing, beautiful hotel, beautiful room, beautiful swimming pool and beach. Staff is so friendly, I was impressed. We tried the oriental restaurant, it was good. I did not get the chance to book the mexican one cause it seemed to be a busy one, and it was fully booked. The buffet is good but after a while it seems like you always eat the same food so make sure to book at least one restaurant for a change (in my case we also eat out of the resort now and there so it was fine). In the morning, there was no bacon or sausages for breakfast. For me, it's okay, but my british boyfriend did not like that, haha. I would say it's expensive but it's probably the most beautiful hotel that I've been to. The service was the best and the Italian manager was very nice.

The location is good, inside a gated residential area around 15 Minutes by foot from the Quinta Avenida. The Mayan Restaurant food was very good. The normal buffet was a little above average. Staff was very friendly. The liquor/cocktails offer was diverse, but not the highest quality.

Only one beer brand, rooms smell a little like mold, but to be fair we got a new upgraded room upon informing the front desk.

The food was excellent, as well as the bedding

Only one trash can between the toilet and the shower. No trash can in the room. We had to wait for one of us to get out of the bathroom to trash something. Only one hand towel for two people. At the end of the day that towel was wet or we had to use a bath towel to dry our hands. We asked the front desk twice and they put it in writing but it was never attended to. The cleaning staff in the hallways gave us an extra towel on the fourth day, which was really appreciated.

I absolutely love the hotel ,I have always had since coming here 10 years ago . Our kids love the pool and the beach so clean ,they tried to keep the sargassum to a minimum. the buffet and the staff in the restaurant all always so welcoming

It so ashame that it is obvious they need more staff ,long queue to get drinks and absolutely noo many sunbeds ,its pretty hard when you have kids and many things to carry with you and be able to locate yourself in a nice spot with shade for your kids. the entertainment staff is absolutely disgusting. they look like they do not want to work there as they do things without motivation ,lack of energy and just want to get the activity done with . This was not the case 10 years ago. nighttime show is even more terrible they make lots of mistakes and their faces look terrifying. the mini disco is an absolute joke , the girls from kids club some days are not even running it which is ashamed.

The structure is very well maintained, the room was very clean and comfortable and the food options were very good. Also the entertainment offering was fun and the staff very professional. I would totally recommend this resort for an all inclusive experience in Playa del Carmen. If I will travel again to Playa del Carmen with my family I would likely go back there.

The resort has everything you may need to enjoy an all inclusive experience with your family. The only minor improvements I would suggest are regarding the theatre and the kids club activities. The theatre could use some improved ventilation, the big fans on the sealing didn’t provide much refreshment and we were only in April. The kids club activities were nice, although some more clarity on the daily programs would be appreciated. Also, in all the mini disco(s) I have seen in the past the animation team had some songs with movements to teach to the kids rather than “free” dancing. I think that would be a nice adder which would make the kids more involved.

Beautiful place, uncomfortable beds, No hooks or bars for towels Restaurants are small so not many chances to eat something other than The buffet which was so-so.

I liked the location and the beach set-up. We had fun playing beach volleyball. We had a short trip, so we didnt get to take part in all the free activities, but there were more we would have if we were there longer. Staff was really nice.

Communication about activities wasn't always clear. For example, we showed up at the location for the dance lesson and no one was there. I'd also recommend making reservations for the al a carte dinner when you first arrive. There was not much availability by the time we tried, so we didn't get to go to the one we wanted.
