Staff was very nice and bed was comfortable. Location was quiet and easy access. Hotel has very pretty decor. Nice bathroom.
The price Booking.com charged me was almost 3 times the rate posted during our stay (and today) so we felt we paid more than it was worth. Breakfast was fresh continental basically, stairs to room on 3rd floor were super narrow and steep, typical for old walk ups but not easy for some.

The breakfast was fabulous and plentiful with juice, coffee, breads, yogurt, fruit, meat and cheese served in a lovely, decorated main floor room. The hotel’s ideal location on a quiet, residential canal street was perfect for walking to transportation and sightseeing. As would be expected for a historic building, there was no elevator and our accommodation was located up a steep, narrow staircase. Though the room was quite “tight” it had comfortable seating for two, was very clean, with a nice, modern bathroom.
European hotels use duvets on beds which tend to be hot for sleeping comfort. The addition of a top sheet would have provided a cooler option. Admittedly, we prefer firm mattresses but these had a bit of “sway” and might soon be considered for replacement.

We had a wonderful four nights at this hotel. We stayed in Room 7 which is at the top and has a canal view. Very quiet at night and a large room nicely set up. Breakfast each day was wonderful and all of the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated Victor who carried our bags up the 3 flights of stairs! The hotel is a great location making it easy accessible to most of Amsterdam's wonderful sites. It was a great refuge after long days of exploring and walking the city.
There was nothing we didn't "like" but travelers should be very aware of the stair situation. It is a typical canal house so the stairs are very steep and very shallow.

Good location, clean and comfortable room, nice view of the canal. Breakfast included was fine.
Like many of the hotels located in the old houses, the stairs are narrow and high. There is no elevator so if you are disabled or have a lot of luggage it may not be convenient for you.

Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived. Martin was incredible attentive and very kind, the other staff as well but we interacted with Martin the most. We inquired about a vegan breakfast option and they were very happy to provide it for us. Not only that, it exceeded our expectations with what we got, plus the portions were incredibly generous. The vibe of the main dining room and the actual room we stayed in was very comfy and nice. The bathroom was a good size and the water pressure was just right, as was the actual shower system - super easy to use. The built in shampoo and hand soap smelled really nice as well. The location of the hotel is good too, we walked everywhere from it without a problem, the neighbourhood is also calm and quiet in the night plus much cleaner than most of the parts of the city we visited. Overall a 10/10, will definitely return when we visit Amsterdam again.
You could hear some noise from the corridor and other rooms but since the hotel is inside an old Amsterdam house it was expected and not something they could change :)

Very pleasant stay! The hotel is in a perfect location — quiet and charming area by the canals, yet within walking distance to the city center, Jordaan, Red Light District, and Dam Square. Our canal-view room had a great atmosphere, everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, served in a cozy dining room. The staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive via email. Being able to leave our luggage after check-out was a big plus. An ideal spot for a short city break in Amsterdam — highly recommended!

Location is very central - within walking distance of all main city center attractions, and just around the corner from Anne Frank's house. Ten minute walk to Dam Square. Breakfast was lovely, served between 8 - 11 o'clock each morning.
Two single duvets on the double bed was less than ideal. We had heard about the steep stairs, and the difficulty for less mobile people. We stayed in Room 7 on top floor. Staircase is steep, but did not present us with any difficulty, and we are "less mobile", with both hip and knee problems.

Great location, not too far from the station, easy to walk everywhere and some nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice - a choice of bread, meat cheese, croissants, jam, fruit, yoghurt etc. The staff were lovely and let us leave our bags after we had checked out to collect later.
It would have been nice to have had a bath after a long day sightseeing. Steep stairs! (but to be expected in Amsterdam). I didnt find any free TV channels e.g. the news, but that might have been my ineptitude. These are all minor points and i recommended this hotel unless you struggle with stairs. PS watch out for the bikes!

We couldn't fault the location, and founf ourselves within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to explore. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was simple but fresh and filling (fuelled our tanks into we'll into the afternoon). Would definitely stay again.
The stairs to and from the top floor were a little challenging (staff kindly delivered our bags to our room on arrival, but we had to wrestle them down the stairs when we left). The room we were in had an angled roof, and it was a little squishy to get in and out of one side of the bed.

Very quirky hotel. Only 8 rooms above a cafe which closed at 9pm. Breakfast was lovely. Croissants, fruit, yogurt, cheese. Hard boiled egg, juice and coffee however you liked. Have some or all . Cool area though we got lost constantly. I got sick with a bad cold and the staff brought me up hot water with lemon and honey.
Stairs were quite steep but staff will carry your luggage up and down. Not a hotel for those with mobility issues.
