Excellent location. Really liked the hotel kitty. The breakfast was fantastic. Little too chilly to eat al fresco, but we tried.

The location is excellent. Near the canals, Anne Frank House, Red Light District, and so many other top Amsterdam attractions. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included with a variety of options. The lounge area and balcony are comfy, cozy with beautiful views. The lobby housecats are fun to pet and play with. There were just so many positives and things to love about Hotel Clemens.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and those stairwells are so narrow and so high up. It feels like you're climbing 6 floors instead of 3. The rooms are very small with a very small closet and no dresser or chair. It is very tough for two people to navigate this small room.

Not that we didnt like these things but just thought they were worth a mention for people think of staying here. Room was small Steep,narrow stairs may be an issue for some people. 2 people in our party were unable to travel due to illness,and whilst it's in the hotel t&c's that cancellation was possible,we still think that the hotel could have offered us something such as discount off a future stay We know for a fact that the room we should have stayed in was occupied for the 3 nights.

The staff were fabulous. Sorted out a space 1 floor up for our bikes and helped with them and all our luggage. Let us drop stuff before our room was ready. The lounge area was very comfortable with free tea and coffee. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection. The room was clean and comfortable and good use was made of the available space. It was surprisingly quiet for its location. The location was pretty central with easy access to the main shopping streets and for us even better the parts off the tourist trail and the botanic gardens.

Room was a little small but as advertised and for a busy city centre fairly standard.

The location was perfect! We were able to walk from the hotel to all different areas of the city and explore. There was good food and bars near by. It is out of the city center/red light area so it was nice and mellow especially at night. We had an issue with the TV not working and the staff was great about coming up and spending the time to make it work.

Beware that there is no elevator and there are two flights of VERY steep/narrow stairs to climb just to get to the lobby of the hotel. It was another two flights of steep/narrow stairs up to the room. This was not a huge deal for us (and kept us out and about rather than going back to the room to change/etc.) because we knew there was no lift but for anyone less than fully abled bodied or with large bags to haul around, this could present a challenge.

Location was great, friendly and helpful staff, bright public area to sit and have a coffee and read with a balcony and really nice view of nearby buildings. A lovely man on reception greeted me and helped me up the stairs with my bags, then brought me complimentary coffee and little cakes. He also allowed me to check in early. What a welcome! My room was very modern, comfortable and clean with a view onto a garden. It didn't feel at all cramped like some single rooms can and had gorgeous sash windows that I could open and listen to the birds singing in the morning! Reluctantly I had to skip breakfast due to an early flight. I will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Excellent location within walking distance of most major attractions and there was a tram stop on the doorstep. A great continental breakfast and sitting on the balcony watching the city come to life was a fascinating start to the day. Our room was small but adequate with comfortable beds and a good shower . The staff were very friendly and most welcoming.

The staircase was a interesting challenge, but it must be said that the staff were very enthusiastic in assisting with the movement of baggage.

It is in a really nice location, close to the station and shopping centre. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are two very friendly cat residents in the hotel which I couldn't resist to pet 😸. The bathroom was a good size and modern. The room has ac which functions very well. The hotel looks really nice and they have a balcony where you can enjoy a cup of tea/breakfast when the weather is permitting. With regards to breakfast, they offer a good range of food which all taste delicious. They also offer free tea and coffee from the machine 24/7 which we found perfect especially after a long rainy day. I would also like to mention that reception is available 24/7 which I believe is a huge plus (especially if you have a late flight and need to check in late). We arrived 3 hrs before check in expecting to leave our bags there, as we know the room might not be ready. The staff did their best and found us 2 rooms which were ready for us so that we could settle. My family and I loved this place and recommend it 100%

I need to mention that there is no lift and stairs to the hotel and rooms are steep. Also the room for 2 ppl is extremely small but we didn't care that much as we came to Amsterdam to enjoy outside and not stay in bed all day. I mentioned these only for those who have mobility issues as DESPITE THESE I recommend this place 100% as it was close to everything, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were great 👍👍

After we complained about the size of the room we got (completely our mistake) the hotel staff arranged for us a large room. The hotel is located not far from Dam Square, a beautiful hotel, clean to a high standard, the staff is very kind and pleasant, and even their breakfast is modest, tasty and satisfying. They have a balcony (quite rare in hotels of this type) from which you can go out and ventilate or smoke.

The only thing that bothered me was the bed, which consisted of two single beds, but even here the staff helped and added a mattress above the two beds that made everything a little more comfortable. perfect! And I will certainly return to this hotel with pleasure
