We had a night of luxury after 2 months sleeping in a little camper van, so glad we chose Sails. Modern and spacious. Very well located and quiet. The bed was like a cloud, large TV with access to Netflix, fast WiFi. Kitchen and bathroom had everything you need, milk was left in the fridge for us and we had use of the laundry if needed. The owner is lovely and gave us lots of great recommendations. Really loved our stay here, so wish we could have stayed longer!

WOW! We've been traveling for over 90 days, changing hotels every 1-3 days and this hotel stands out as one of the very best. It's beautifully designed, the bed is as good as it gets, there is a kitchenette (at least in the Executive Suites), and they have provided thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen is so well equipped I'm making a pasta dinner right now... a welcome feeling of normal after being away from home for so long. The premises is spotlessly clean inside and out, and there is a convenient laundry room on site. The owners are friendly and helpful. It really is an impressive experience.

As a smoker, I wish that I had noticed it was a non-smoking complex including outdoors (completely my fault). I would've liked to enjoy a wine on the patio with my cigarette.

We were thrilled with the location, just a short stroll into town! We enjoyed a cosy night in with pizza, watching the rugby on the enormous TV. In the morning, we sipped coffee in the sunshine on our terrace before heading out for a big hike. The Sails Nelson was incredibly clean, and we felt very well looked after. Highly recommend!"

At last I managed to secure a room at the Sails, and I was not disappointed! I spent a very comfortable night in a first floor room with every possible comfort provided. My hosts were exceptionally helpful both that evening in messaging me and the next day when they kindly agreed to power up my phone. I cannot recommend this motel more highly so book ahead to make sure you can stay.

Absolutely superb! Spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy bed, superfast WiFi. Very well appointed kitchen area. Great shower and toiletries. They provided robes, that we didn't actually use. Best of all was some superb filter coffee. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived early and asked if we could park and wander but our room was already so we were checked in, given really useful advice and then sat in the sun on the deck to unwind after our drive. Highly recommended.

Comfortable, quiet, clean and very well appointed rooms with everything you need for a stay in Nelson. Staff were very welcoming, accommodating a late check in and having our room warmed before we arrived for a comfortable night's sleep. Excellent location, central to great restaurants and an easy walk to local markets.

Perfect location to walk into town. Car parking on site but the walk to town was easier than trying to find a car park in town. We had the cooked breakfast which was amazing and excellent value. The owners are wonderful and very friendly. The room was spotless and the soaps etc were of high standard. The bed was super comfortable.

Great place to stay in Nelson. Cherie was so warm, friendly and welcoming and made our stay really pleasant. Spotlessly clean room and great shower and very well equipped kitchenette. Parking on site and a nice laundry on the ground floor which is always a bonus while travelling. Central location - about 10-15 minute walk to town centre.
