Beautiful views of the lake, spacious room and deep bath for a relaxing soak after walking up the steep street to get into the hotel. Love that the hotel is close enough to walk around to key places in the city centre, but far enough from the nightlife to achieve a calm and quaint ambiance. What isn’t there to love?

Please be aware that the entrance to the hotel is at the top of a reasonably steep slopes street. The daily walk uphill is without a doubt worth it though.

We liked this hotel for many reasons. The location was easy for our needs, the views beautiful, the room was spacious and nicely appointed. However…there was no AC in the room! I would not have booked this room had I known that as it was quite hot when we were there. BUT, when we realized this, we called the front desk and they had several options that actually helped a lot. They brought up some sort of cooling mattress cover for the bed along with 2 nice Dyson fans that kept us comfortable. I would not have booked here if I’d known but the end result is that they made as comfortable for our one night stay. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the service was very good as was the food

Air conditioning!

Great location, short walk to town. Staff are great and room service is super quick! The view from the restaurant for breakfast is lovely. Lovely cosy hotel.

The breakfast buffet wasn’t great, not many options. My omelette came with raw/cold vegetables inside. The staff should be clear about the cost of certain things. We weren’t told there was a cost for parking. We were also charged for a coffee and a pot of tea at breakfast. $7 for a pot of tea when you can make the same one yourself seems a bit overpriced. Coffee and tea should be included, or I should be told the cost instead of being surprised at the end.

We booked a garden view room as we have a 1 year old and thought the direct access to an outdoor space would be good, but weather didnt permit us to use it unfortunately as it was too cold. Views from the hotel restaurant are fantastic and the service was very welcoming and friendly and professional.

Being on the lowest level of the hotel the rooms are a little darker and lack a view, but in theory if the weather is nice enough to use the outdoor space then that would make up for it. The views from the restaurant at the hotel are spectacular and made up for it!

Huge spacious room, good amenities available. The bathroom was also nice (except the shower seemed to flood).

Breakfast was below expectations for that price as well, much better breakfast at hotel just up the road. Great views from the dining room though. The coffee could have been better too...

This hotel was beautiful, always so well heated right through from the reception to our room always being warm when arriving back home! Was such a snuggly vibe! Beautiful big shower, nice bathroom and very comfortable bed! Staff were amazing and when we needed something it was bought right to our room.

There were just a few things forgotten in our room, we didn't have any hot drinks or milk etc or towels but they got those for us when we asked! We also paid extra for surprise birthday balloons & wine and the balloons had deflated and were on the floor :( TVs need an upgrade!! Could only watch live TV or purchased movies when they were advertised as smart tvs....(no Netflix or YouTube etc and couldn't cast from your phone so count watch any of our series etc)

Staff servivce was exceptional. They made the difference between having a good stay to a great stay. Rooms are moody and cosy with more of a chalet feel. Great location, less than 10 minute walk into town.

The no cancellation policy is too rigid. Worked out for us , but I was a bit nervous about losing money if for some reason we had to cancel. Shoud at least offer another time to stay/credit.

Location, view, ambience & Resturant food selection

Our room was with garden view Unfortunately, it was very poor view of garden … really not much to look out of the window One of the guest washing machine’s soap dispenser is broken but somehow made it to work The bathroom shower set up is NOT good to retain water in the space… water overflow into the toilet & sink area. I had to clean up the water after every shower. Some kind of barrier or a bit of level between the shower & sink area would help prevent this messy situation. Room was freezing when we arrived not even a bit of hot air blowing when it was freezing outside

Location was great. Walking distance from central area of Queenstown, the lake, even the gondola. You can just park your car and walk everywhere. Breakfast was great!

We unfortunately had a view of a ramp and should have rather booked a lake view room. Our own fault. On the other hand, we didn’t spend much time in the room as there’s so much to do in the area. Registered for Accor membership on advice of staff to get reduced parking rates. Brought it down from $35 to $25 a night. Something to consider.

The hotel is a nice chalet-style 5* property. Rooms have space and some have lovely views of the lake. Staff was impeccable. In short, a solid 5* hotel you would expect to find in the mountains.

Few points. The location is up on a steep hill. For less mobile guests walking back after a meal out would pose a fair difficulty. The hotel restaurant closes at 21.00. There is bar menu available after that, but it offers less choice. Last, the hot tub garden was a bit of a miss. It consists of two Jacuzzis outside in the cold which were hard to find. A questionable experience...
