Stunning location, bar, restaurant and overall outlook. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Beds are extremely comfortable and heating whisper quiet.

Paid for two rooms so our children could be next door (12, 15). Same price x 2 rooms (we paid for breakfast within room charge) but management charged extra for them eating ‘adult’ breakfast. Not about the $$, the principle. Silly considering we ate at Nest restaurant (3 course dinner x 4) and had drinks and nibbles at the bar each night. Sometimes common sense needs to prevail rather than Lenny pinching considering we spent approx $6k for 4 nights.

The rooms were beautiful and the beds were like clouds, super comfy. The hotel itself and the restaurant / bar was fabulous with a fantastic view of Queenstown. We stayed here Christmas Eve & Day and all facilities were open so it was super helpful if we wanted to grab something quick to eat or drinks. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing!

The views from the room were not great as we were looking into a car park, I thought when booking we would have a better view of the lake but only a select few rooms have full view of the lake - just to be prepared for this as we were not.

Rooms good size, clean and modern with excellent AC. Nice little balconies. Free car park Staff helpful and friendly. Spectacular views of mountains in restaurant Breakfast high end, complex and lovely.

Hotel quite a distance outside town up steep hill but buses good value and frequent. Views were lovely over the mountains but over car park in most rooms. No on site guest laundry and laundry service very expensive. Bar and restaurant quite slow and you were unable to change or leave out any ingredients for breakfast. Hot tub use additional and expensive

The room was beautiful and had everything we could need. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were great although we missed not having a bacon and eggs option. They did say they are trying different choices though. The quality of the food was very good, including the room service food. The view across the lake of the mountains was gorgeous. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful, but always professional. It’s a great place to stay.

There was very little not to like, but would have preferred there be a gym, given the price. But I would honestly stay here again.

Fine dining at Nest Restaurant was the highlight of my stay at Kamana Lake House. Their food & hospitality service are their strengths. I definitely recommend to book dinner in advance. The view from the dining area is spectacular. Their staff are really well-trained, professional, friendly and attentive, allowed to shine with their own personality. Cocktails were also great. The staff at the front desk was also outstanding. It's a well oiled machine.

The pricing seemed a bit high compared to other stays I had in Queenstown. Although some reviews raved about the spa, my experience for an extra $119 (limited to 1 hour) was underwhelming (the view was great though, same as the dining area). The spa lacked bubbles (only one jet), and other hotels provide bath, pool and spa access as part of their standard service. On my first night, they had a function and the noise kept me awake for a while. Additionally, the distance from town and the challenge of finding parking in Queenstown were drawbacks as I opted to drive. Having said that, Kamana do offer a driver if you plan ahead and notify them.

The hotel has a beautiful view from the restaurant access “nest”. The cocktails are top quality and the fire places are just a beautiful touch of luxury. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Parking is free and we managed to get a park every time we got back but can get a bit busy on weekend due to the restaurant so keep that in mind.

It was pretty amazing but if I had to pick on something -Didn’t have a smart tv - streaming services. We had a car but for those wanting to go into town, you couldn’t really walk there as it’s up and down the hill, but for us we had a car so not an issue but something to keep in mind. (I did see that they had a car shuttle for those wanting a lift in so that would solve that issue)

The rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean, very good bed, great shower, little terrace to sit outside. The view from the restaurant is magnificent, bar is very cozy with various fire places.

For a luxury hotel with very steep room rates one would expect that the bar and restaurant are open 7 days a week. Very disappointing that we could not even order a drink at the bar on a Tuesday eve.. The breakfast is very limited. Better go into town for more options at a better price. We got a room assigned which was designed for disabled guests, the toilet had no lid and was sort of squeezed into the corner. A bit weird and would recommend reception staff to inform checking in guests beforehand. Just as a heads up, it is a 30 minute walk downhill into Queenstown, meaning a bus or taxi ride back up, as the road is very steep.

It was a great location away from the busyness of Queenstown and the view from my room was just amazing. Friendly and hospitable staff, from check in to bar lounge. I didn't get to eat in, but will make sure to do so next time. Lovely spot and glad I chose the room I did. The spa, was amazing, would have been great to have it outside my room, but that's another room I'll need to book.

The parking, first come, first serve. Put off the idea of exploring at night as there might not be a park available on return. The gap in the door from the hallway to the room. Noise and cold air would come through, so maybe a draft snake would be a good idea to have in the rooms, meanwhile the big blankie did the trick.

The rooms where very clean and comfortable and the beds where amazing with feather and down mattress covers and good pillows. Very nice toiletries, nice clean towels and nice Nespresso coffee pods however you only got 2 per person and 1 satchet of Hot chocolate per person and lots of tea bags. Staff where pleasant and friendly

We paid extra for the view but it was partially covered by the reception and dining room which was a little disappointing. The hot tubs where an extra $100 per hour which seemed steep after paying well over $1,000 for 3 nights. The complex itself felt like a motel rather than a hotel. Restaurant menu was limited to a 3 course meal which did not appeal to us.
