Location amazing 🤩 perfect for access to everything without a car. The buffet included was excellent. Great range to choose from and staff very helpful with getting alternative milks heated up from the dispense coffee machine. Great facility with staff offering us to book the consecutive days for our favourite table. Replay impressed with this and the view was perfect and really sums up Queenstown.

It felt very impersonal. There is one staff member on the desk . It was check in here is your key. Had no idea that there was a sauna till we were leaving to be picked up and we used the lobby bathrooms. The phone had no functioned on it to call reception room service or amenities. The staff were pleasant but the hotel is looking tiered. I can see it is attached to the new QT hotel which must be the renovated part. The family room was a bit small but it made up for with the large balcony area we were able to access. we were still only given one set of towels everyday even though there was 4 of us. The staff did help though when ordered from down at reception.

Fantastic location, opening the curtains to that spectacular view was amazing, made me very happy every morning. Only a 6-minute walk to all the restaurants and lake front bars and shops. The staff were very helpful.

IN the room, I thought it would be helpful to have a couple of hooks in the entrance area, for coats. Also, an additional hook in the bathroom would also be good. Bedside tables with a drawer for a little storage would also be good. These are little things, but would have been a big help.

Location was perfect, good view, beds were super comfy and I do love a hotel with a guest laundry!! The staff were also really nice, one of the cleaners accidentally mistook our souvenir’s for dishes and then the team was unable to locate them so went out and replaced everything for us. They were really apologetic, nice and polite about the situation which I was grateful for.

Wifi, movies and chromecast was a bit tempremental but we weren’t in the hotel too much during the day, just when we were trying to watch movies at night they would keep stopping and pausing.

Friendly staff and good view

All you can eat buffet is run poorly. Went up at 9:30 and paid as per normal and staff started packing the food and took all the serving spoons away so we weren't able to get food. We asked staff to give us a spoon to serve ourselves and they got upset and gave us one for a second and took it back. Had to use our own table spoon to get some food and sat down for a few minutes and got up to get a juice and realised they've packed the juices away. Instead of stopping entry at 10am and letting the people that have paid finish their "buffet", they packed things away at 10 and left us with a tiny amount of food.

The staff are lovely, and the view is terrific. The ambience of the hotel is great, and the location is terrific. It is right across the road from a lovely walkway to town and out of town. The buffet breakfast is outstanding - so much choice - with views of the mountains and lakes.

The bed could have been more comfortable and it would have been beneficial to have had things physically on hand for travellers, such as a book on sights and things to explore, and the room service menu (accessible via the tv only - and it is very expensive!).

Nice clean room, good size, amazing view from the lake view King room, glad that we requested a room with a balcony. Great on site restaurant and bar and breakfast buffet, friendly and professional staff.

We kept experiencing problems with the tv. The hotel staff sent someone to fix it the first time around who went away as he couldn't seem to fix the problem, and eventually after a while and with a bit of follow up they got it fixed. We had to follow up the second time it went down as well. The tv had all the hotel information on it, and there didn't seem to be any hard copy information in the room that we could see.

The room was basic, but clean and tidy. Not really a view from the balcony but there was access to the pool and another balcony with views of the lake. The staff were great, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and so much choice. the bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean and fresh.

We couldn't get the TV to work but this really wasn't an issue. The shower control was useable but should be repaired. The coffee wasn't that nice at the room or at the breakfast bar.

Title: A Pleasant Stay in Queenstown's Rydges Hotel I recently had the opportunity to stay at Rydges Hotel in Queenstown with a group of friends, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, the friendly staff at the front desk welcomed us. However, we were a bit disappointed when we realized there was no assistance with our bags, especially after coming in from the rain. This was a departure from our previous experiences where we had always received help with our luggage. Nevertheless, we decided to look past this initial setback and focus on the positive aspects of our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent location of the hotel. It was conveniently situated within walking distance of everything Queenstown has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful streets, bustling cafes, and charming shops in the vicinity. The hotel's proximity to local attractions added to the overall experience of staying in Queenstown. During our time at Rydges, we also made use of the bar area located upstairs. It provided a great atmosphere to unwind and relax after a day of exploring the city. The staff at the front desk were always available and willing to assist us with any questions or requests we had, which enhanced our overall impression of the hotel. In conclusion, despite a minor hiccup upon arrival, our experience at Rydges Hotel in Queenstown was generally positive. The convenient location, charming surroundings, and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. We would recommend Rydges Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-situated accommodation option in Queenstown.

Would have liked help with luggage on arrival.

We were upgraded upon check in, and we received wonderful service, everything was easy. Location wise you could walk straight into town. The lake front view room was beautiful and had a shared wrap around balcony with pool access. The room was cosy and had lovely heating, lots of extra blankets. The buffet brekkie was great, as was the bar.

The TV in the lounge area didn’t work, or we couldn’t figure it out but we weren’t there all that much so it didn’t bother us so much.

Location, lake and mountain views, friendly helpful staff. Especially Harry at reception.

Non existing room service. Although we requested the room to be refreshed on the Friday, 08/12/23, and were away for most of the day, the wet towels were still on the bathroom floor, cups were not rinsed again, paper baskets were not emptied upon our return at 4:45pm. We informed the front desk but the cleaners had left for the day and we were given two bath towels and an apology. I’m sorry but this is really unacceptable given the linen trolley was parked in the corridor by the room. The notice to clean was still dangling from the door hand. What a great disappointment when paying for a premium king size room with views over Wakatipu and Remarkables. A blemish on an otherwise great five days at the Rydges.
